Because we believe that education is an investment in the future, LifeBridge Health and ExpressCare Urgent Care Centers are sponsoring an essay contest to provide college scholarships to students in our communities. Each contest winner will receive a $2,500 scholarship. The theme of the essay contest is “How I Will Use My Education to Give Back to My Community.” We want to know how our future college graduates intend to enrich the lives of their friends and neighbors. Essays must be 750 to 1,000 words and double-spaced. Each sheet of paper should be labeled with the writer’s name, school and contact information. Eligibility • High school seniors who plan to enroll in a full-time* undergraduate course of study at an accredited two- or four-year college, university or vocational/technical school. • Applicants must live in Baltimore City or Baltimore, Carroll, Frederick, Prince George’s, Harford, Howard, Cecil or Anne Arundel counties. *Full-time study is defined as full-time enrollment for the entire upcoming academic year. Awards • Up to 30 prizes will be awarded. • Students may receive only one scholarship. • Awards are granted without regard to race, color, creed, religion, gender, disability, sexual orientation or national origin. Porque pensamos que la educación es una inversión a futuro, LifeBridge Health y los Centros de Atención de Urgencias de ExpressCare están patrocinando un concurso de ensayos para ofrecer dinero en forma de becas universitarias para los estudiantes de nuestras comunidades. Cada uno de los ganadores del concurso recibirá $2,500 para aplicar al pago de estudios superiores.

El tema del concurso de ensayos es “Cómo usaré mi educación para retribuir a mi comunidad” (“How I Will Use My Education to Give Back to My Community”). Queremos saber de qué manera nuestros futuros graduados de la universidad pretenden enriquecer la vida de sus amigos y vecinos.

Los ensayos deben tener entre 750 y 1,000 palabras y se deben escribir con interlineado doble. Cada hoja de papel debe estar identificada con el nombre del autor, la escuela y los datos de contacto.

Elegibilidad

• Estudiantes de último año de secundaria que planean inscribirse en un curso de estudios universitarios de tiempo completo* en un centro de estudios superiores, universidad o escuela técnica/vocacional con acreditación que ofrezca programas de dos o cuatro años.

• Los solicitantes deben vivir en la ciudad de Baltimore o en los condados de Baltimore, Carroll, Frederick, Prince George’s, Harford, Howard, Cecil o Anne Arundel.*Los estudios de tiempo completo se definen como la inscripción de tiempo completo para todo el próximo año académico.

Premios

• Se concederán hasta 30 premios.
