It is also designed to provide the tools to support employers who want to upskill their existing workforce as
the industry seeks to create the next generation of workers, leaders and decision makers.
For both newcomers and existing industry employees the campaign underpins personal and professional development through a
wide-range of training programmes, practical training programmes, industry relevant qualifications, access to employer led learning
and mentoring.

RAISING AWARENESS
The Building Our Skills – Making Fenestration a Career of Choice campaign is actively engaged with the Education Sector to promote three
specific initiatives – Inspiring Governance, Inspiring the Future and Challenging Workplace Stereotypes. Talk to the team about how you
can get involved.
The campaign is also actively engaged with the military Careers
Transition Partnership (CTP) which looks to place those leaving
the armed forces into new employment, and is also forming
partnerships with a number of other agencies who will help us in
our attempts to attract young people and career changers to the
Fenestration Industry.
WORKING WITH CAREER CHANGE AGENCIES
Any company, organisation or employer from a Fenestration background: profile manufacturers, machine manufacturers, glass processes,
glass manufacturers, component manufacturers, OEM’s, organisation/bodies, installers, roof manufacturers, marketing agencies,
recruitment companies etc can get involved.
HOW YOU CAN GET INVOLVEDThe campaign is made up of Industry Supporters committed to helping to raise awareness of the Fenestration Industry. It is completely
FREE to join.

The campaign is FREE to join, and those interested in becoming a supporter are asked to pledge their commitment to promoting Building
Our Skills, its mission and the Fenestration Industry through their own businesses.

Once registered, Industry Supporters should commit to supporting the Building Our Skills – Making
Fenestration a Career of Choice wherever possible. Building Our Skills will supply companies with the BOS
Industry Supporter logo and copy, outlining the campaigns aims.
INDUSTRY SUPPORTER COMMITMENT
The logo can be used on all marketing material including;
literature, email footers, banners, adverts, press releases and at
exhibitions.
As a minimum, we request that the campaign’s logo and the
supplied copy be displayed on supporters’ websites with a
hyperlink, enabling visitors to view the Building Our Skills.
We will also ask you send your company logo for use on our
marketing material and website and that you keep in touch to
supply us relevant case studies, press releases or videos relating
to any activities which highlight your company’s involvement
in upskilling staff, recruiting young people or career changers,
apprentices or training and development.
The Building Our Skills – Making Fenestration a Career of Choice campaign has been designed and launched to create
as much awareness of the Fenestration Industry and its career opportunities as possible. So, it is important that the campaign’s aims,
and company’s success stories are promoted.
The campaign will also give its Industry Supporters the opportunity to platform and promote their company to channels both
inside and outside of the industry, so, we urge Industry Supporters to capitalise on their successes and share their news with us.
Industry Supporters can recruit other supporters from their customer and supplier networks and register the new supporter’s interest by
either contacting us directly or by passing on details to the new supporter to register themselves.
