• When someone shrugs his shoulder, it means that he can’t do anything to help or have no way out of something.

• Thumbs up means good job or shows you appreciate or thank someone. In addition, it represents ready in the basketball games. With thumbs down, it shows that someone does a bad job or you blame on somebody.

• The OK sign mostly represents fine or ready. But in Japan it means money. In southern France it means zero or not worth mentioning. It also means homosexual in Middle East and evil in Greece.

• A V sign represents “ victory ”. And it’s common for we Taiwanese to pose when taking a picture. In England, it’s impolite to pose a V sign with your palm facing in, because it means despite.

• In France, if a woman scraps her chin with her index finger that means she refuses her admirer.

• When you are with your thumb, index finger and little finger up, it means “ I love you” in America.
