GERMANY VISITS AMERICAN CLASSROOMS German for Hire’ gives middle and high school teachers the opportunity to invite German university students into their classrooms to give youth-oriented presentations on different topics in modern German life and culture. These ambassadors will provide an authentic and interactive classroom session in German language, history or social studies classes. Students will be able to discuss current events and experience German history first hand through a personal encounter. They can connect with their German guests through their shared excitement for films, music, and sports. ‘German for Hire’ gives middle and high school teachers the opportunity to invite German university students into their classrooms to give youth-oriented presentations on different topics in modern German life and culture. These ambassadors will provide an authentic and interactive classroom session in German language, history or social studies classes. Students will be able to discuss current events and experience German history first hand through a personal encounter. Germany's Young Ambassadors As a German for Hire Ambassador you will visit American classrooms and engage in conversation about current events in Germany, German history and shared cultural interests with students and teachers of German and Social Sciences.

German for Hire offers:

• A great opportunity to meet young Americans

• A chance to improve your English in authentic intercultural conversations

• Another perspective on Germany and America

• An introductory workshop by the Goethe-Institut

• Compensation of travel expenses to the schools

• A German for Hire volunteer’s certificate

Teachers German for Hire Ambassadors are university students from Germany who will give your students the opportunity to practice their German and learn about current events, history and shared cultural interests.
