The Bible is a book of governments. It dealt with the world ruling governments of the ancient

world, and it deals with the modern day superpowers of Today! What does prophecy say about

this coming Beast that will come on the world scene in the very near future? What nation will

he come from?

In the book of Revelation Jesus fights the Beast at his coming. In the Old Testament, prophecies,

YHWH, who is Christ, fights the “Assyrian” at his coming, and then sets up the Kingdom of

God. Notice the Old Testament prophecies:

Isaiah 30 reveals the “Mountain of YHWH” being set up (verse 29), meaning the Kingdom of

God, see Isaiah 2; Micah 4; Daniel 2:35, 40-45.

Then, “... through the voice of YHWH shall the Assyrian be beaten down, which smote with a

rod” (v.31). At the time of the setting up of the Kingdom of God, God will strike at the

“Assyrian,” and defeat him because they make war with him. The method of destroying the

Assyrian is by the “Voice” of God, by divine Command. As another scripture says, “Then shall

the Assyrian fall with the sword, not of a mighty man; and the sword, not of a mean man, shall

devour him: but he shall flee from the sword, and his young men shall be discomfited.” (Isaiah

31:8). It is by the sword of the Lord that will destroy the Assyrian.

This describes the second coming of Christ in the book of Revelation, “And the ten horns which

thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings

one hour with the beast... These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the

beast...These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is

Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and

faithful...And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, [THE WORD OF GOD HEB 4:12] that

with it he should smite the nations:..And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their

armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his

army...And the beast [THE ASSYRIAN] was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought

miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and

them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with

brimstone...And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which

sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh. [see also

Ezekiel 39:17-20]” (Rev 17:12-14; 19:15, 19-21).

Comparing with other scriptures, we read of the wrath of God, “This is the purpose that is

purposed upon the whole earth: and this is the hand that is stretched out upon all the nations”

(Isaiah 14:26). In the time when he gathers all nations, “Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of

decision: for the day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision.” (Joel 3:14). Gathering in the

“valley of Jehoshaphat:” (v.12), God will “... break the Assyrian in my land, and upon my

mountains tread him under foot: then shall his yoke depart from off them, and his burden depart

from off their shoulders” (Isaiah 14:25). As noted above the Beast is singled out and “taken” and

tossed into the lake of fire. Here in Isaiah and Micah 5:5-6, the Assyrian in singled out as well

and defeated. So clearly comparing scripture with scripture the Beast will come out of Assyria!

What Happened to Assyria?

After the fall of Assyria by Babylon, what happened to the Assyrians? This nation seems to have

vanished from History? Or did they? The Bible plainly says that Assyria will play a vital role in

this end time. What happened to them?

The book of Nahum tell us that these people migrated NORTH in to the mountains towards

Europe: “Thy shepherds slumber, O king of Assyria: thy nobles shall dwell in the dust: thy

people is scattered upon the mountains, and no man gathereth them” (3:18). The only

mountains that are in the region of Assyria are the Caucasus Mountains between the Black and

the Caspian Sea. The Assyrian nation was situated just SOUTH of those mountains, and it was

often a place of refuge from danger. In the book of Kings the princes of Assyria took refuge

there: “So Sennacherib king of Assyria departed, and went and returned, and dwelt at Nineveh.

“And it came to pass, as he was worshipping in the house of Nisroch his god, that Adrammelech

and Sharezer his sons smote him with the sword: and they escaped into the land of Armenia.

And Esarhaddon his son reigned in his stead” (2 Kings 19:36-37). Modern translations render

Armenia as “Ararat,” which is between the Black and the Caspian sea just NORTH of Assyria.

Where did they go from here? This booklet will follow the Assyrians from ancient Assyria to

their final resting place in modern day Germany! This booklet will prove from many sources that

the end time Assyrians are the Germans!

Assyria’s Tribal Names

To the Spaniards, Germany is “Alemania,” and a German is “Un Aleman.” Other important

names applied to the German peoples by the Romans were: “Hatti” (the ancestors of the modern

Hessians), the “Alemani” and “Suabi,” the “Quadi,” the “Casuari” and others. The Romans

called them collectively “Germani”, meaning “War-men” (from the “Encyclopedia Britannica”,

article, “Germany”). Let’s compare the names of Asshur’s descendants to that given by the

Romans. It will give us some striking clues about the identity of the modern Assyrians. Though

not listed in the Bible, they can be found in ancient histories and Bible Encyclopedia’s. The

Assyrian tribal names include:

1.Khatti;

2.Akkadian;

3.Kassites (or Cossaei);

4.Almani (or Halmani).

Notice the similarities with the Romans:

1. Khatti=Hessians (see “Germany” in the Encyclopedia Britannica).

2. Akkadians=In Latin, Quadians

3. Kassites or Cossaei=Chauci

4. Almani=Allemaniin in Latin. We can thank the Roman historian Tacitus for these tribal names

of the Assyrians, in the Latin Tongue in his “Germania.”

Assyrian Names in Bible Lands

We read in the Bible that the Assyrians occupied an Area called “Kir” and placed captive slaves

there, see 2 Kings 16:9.

“Kir is the Hebrew translation of the city name, Der (a word from Akkadian which also means

wall). Kir was a Mesopotamian city of the lower Tigris River...” (Holman Bible Dictionary,

under “Kir.”). The Assyrians controlled and occupied this city for many years. Is it so strange

that we find in Europe the “Ker-Men,” who are identical with the “Ger-man.”

Stephen Collins writes: “...the Kermans’ migrated into Europe...[and] they were called

‘Germans,’ a general name used by the Romans to describe many similar tribes...There is an

account of Herodotus which supports the conclusion that the Kermans and the Germans were one

and the same people...Clearly the term ‘German’ originated in the region [of Assyria], and later

spread into Europe. As the reader can see, the ancient term ‘Germanii’ was virtually unchanged

as it became ‘Germany’ or ‘Germania’ in Europe....It is this books opinion that the Germanii or

Kermans were originally the ASSYRIANS...Even today the name ‘Kerman’ is attached to a city

in Southern Iran” (Lost Ten Tribes...Found, p.341, emphasis mine). The region in Iran is called

Kharmania or Carmania. The oriental Kerman rugs, recognized the world over for their fine

quality, are made by this region.

Ancient Cilicia — Modern Silesia-The ancient city of Germanicopolis was located IN

CILICIA, in southeastern Asia Minor according to Ammianus Marellinus, book 1, § 27. It

belonged of old to the Hatti. Cilicia is mentioned several places in the Bible. Paul was born in

Cilicia (Acts 21:39 and 22:3). Now look at a map of Europe. We find that one of the eastern

PROVINCES OF PRE-WORLD WAR II GERMANY IS CALLED SILESIA! — spelled

slightly different, but pronounced the same! The name of Cilicia in Asia Minor was simply

transplanted to Eastern Germany by the Hatti who migrated from Cilicia to Silesia, then to the

Rhine.

The Appearance of the Assyrians

So what did the Assyrians look like? “In the Zagros hills and across the plain to the Tigris, there

lived a ... FAIR-HAIRED ... PEOPLE akin to the Guti [the Goths] who ... remained in what was

afterwards Assyria, the neighbour land to Akkad” (page 5 of “The Sumerians” by C. Leonard

Woolley). When the ancient Greek writers wanted to distinguish the Assyrians from the

Arameans or Syrians, the Greeks called the Assyrians, “Leucosyri” — meaning “WHITES” or

“BLONDS” as distinct from the VERY BRUNETTE SYRIANS who still live in Mesopotamia.

Modern Day Assyrians

These are three photos of Assyrians who still live in the ancient land of

Assyria in Mesopotamia. Notice their similarity to the Germans of Europe.

See how different they are from their Arab neighbors.

Apparently, Assyrians were considered to be of similar ethnicity to the Germans by

some Arabs: “Medieval Arab authors say that the Assyrians are from the same source

as the Germans...Barhebraeus, a Syria Bishop living during the twelfth century wrote

that ‘The Germanikah are a people in Mosel (Nineveh) who came from Persia’...Arab

tradition have the Germanikah as Assyrians.” (Gemol M. Israelites und Hyksos.

Leipzig, 1913, pp.88-90, as shown translated in White, p. 92).

Some Assyrians were described as having black or dark hair, while Sir William Smith

reported of the Northern Germans: “The Germans were a branch of the great Indo-

Germanic race, who, along with the Celts, migrated into Europe from the Caucasus, and

the countries around the Black and Caspian seas, at a period long anterior to historical

records. They are described as a people of high stature and of great bodily strength,

with fair complexions, blue eyes, and yellow or red hair.” (Smith W. A smaller classical

Language of the Assyrians

Although the Assyrians were Semitic in origin, apparently the Assyrians acquired the Indo-

Germanic language after the Babylonian confusion of tongues. The famous commentator,

Josephus, claims in “Antiquities of the Jews,” Book I, Chapter 9, that some of the kings described

in Genesis 14:1 were Assyrians. He specifically mentions “Tidal king of nations” in this context

as one of the commanders of the Assyrian army. It is notable that Tidal is not a Semitic name,

but rather an Indo-Germanic name. This leads one to suppose that the Assyrians had adopted an

Indo-Germanic language.

In addition, the Greek historian, Ctesias, names all the Assyrian kings from 1970 B.C. to 1850

B.C. They include such kings as Arelios, Xerxes, Armanithos, Shaeros and Tentamos. All of

these names are of Indo-Germanic origin; they are not of Semitic origin.

The Assyriologist, Sydney Smith, says in his book “Early History of Assyria to 1000 B.C.,” that

documents that were found in Asia Minor and in areas east of the Tigris were written in the

Semitic dialect, although the Assyrians, who lived there, could not even pronounce all of the

Semitic consonants.

However, if the Assyrians did not speak a Semitic language, why then do we find Assyrian

written documents in the Semitic language?

The “Oxford Companion to the Bible” commentary, in its 1993 edition, explains on page 63 that

the Assyrian ruler Ashurnasirpal II (884–859 B.C.) brought large numbers of western Arameans

or Syrians into the heartland of Assyria, who were then swelling the ranks of the court, and that

by the early seventh century, the Assyrian language had been replaced as the vernacular with

Aramaic [a Semitic language].

Again, we see that the court and literary language of the Assyrians had become Semitic, while

the common spoken word continued to remain Indo-Germanic, and from this spoken language

the Germanic language is derived. This development is not unusual and was actually repeated

later in Germany. We recall that Latin became the official language for written documents, while

the German language was continually spoken. This leads to an interesting point. How is it that

the Hebrew-speaking House of Israel, who were carried into Assyrian captivity, spoke an Indo-

Germanic language when they arrived in Northwestern Europe? The obvious answer is, they

were forced to learn it as a result of their captivity! The common tongue of the Assyrians was not

only Semitic, but Indo-Germanic!

Bravo of Troy

Who has not heard of the famous Trojan horse that was built at the time of the Trojan War? In

1183 B.C., the famous city of Troy fell into Greek hands. This occurred during the time of the

biblical judges, about 200 years before King Solomon. Well-known poet Plato tells us that Troy

was an Assyrian sanctuary. During the war, the Assyrian king, Tatarnis, sent weapons and

soldiers to the Trojans; however, as we know, ultimately without success. When Troy was finally

captured after a ten-year siege, an Assyrian soldier named Bravo fled Troy and migrated to

Europe where he settled in the area around the German city of Trier. An old chronicle tells us

that Bravo was filled with joy when he met the Assyrian descendants there who had followed

Trebeta [an Assyrian prince] and who had settled in the area.

The Mysterious Origin of Trier

This brings us to the question of the origin of Trier. Official records teach us that Trier was built

by the Romans. But there is also another version:

In the market square in Trier, there is a building called “Rotes Haus” (“Red House”). A Latin

inscription on the house proclaims that Trier existed 1300 years before the founding of Rome. It

says: “Ante Romam Treveris stetit annis mille trecentis perstet et aeterna pace fruatur Amen.”

Translated into English, it means: “Treveris [Trier] existed 1300 years before Rome; let it

continue to exist and enjoy eternal peace. Amen.” Rome was founded in 753 B.C. If the

inscription is true, Trier was already in existence at the time of Abraham and Noah.

German books and newspaper articles about Trier tell of a legend whereupon Trier had been

built 4000 years ago by the Assyrian prince Trebeta. Supposedly the name “Trier” is derived

from “Trebeta.” Joseph K. L. Bihl wrote in “In Deutschen Landen” (“In German Lands”) on

page 69 [re-published in 1953 in Cambridge, Massachusetts]: “The inhabitants of Trier maintain

that their city is the oldest in all Europe. Trier was founded by Trebeta, a son of the famous

Assyrian King Ninus.” The fact that Ninus was an Assyrian king is confirmed by Deodorus of

Sicily (History, Volume II). Legend has it that with the death of King Ninus, his son Trebeta fled from his wicked stepmother

Semiramis, emigrated with a large following of Assyrians to Europe and settled in an area not far

from the Rhine, where he built a town called Trebetam or Treverum, today’s Trier.

Next to the Red House is a building called “Steipe.” Eyewitnesses reported seeing on the second

floor of this house a picture that represents Ninus and Trebeta. Today, that painting can be

viewed in the “Stadtmuseum Simeonstift,” which is located next to the Tourist Office and the

famous Porta Nigra.

In this painting, which states at the bottom that it was

painted in 1559 A.D., Ninus is wearing a crown with the

inscription “Ninus Rex”, or “King Ninus.” At the bottom

of the painting is a caption saying that Trier was founded

by Trebeta.

In an old book that was originally published in 1851,

“Trier und seine Umgebungen in Sagen und Liedern,” it is

stated on page v that the ancient oral legend that Trebeta

built Trier had already been reduced to writing prior to

909 A.D., in the “Gestis Trevirorum,” through the monk

Eberhard of the St. Matthew monastery.

If, therefore, Trebeta, son of King Ninus, founded Trier and settled there with many Assyrian

subjects, then it is no wonder that later the Assyrian soldier Bravo was welcomed to the area

around Trier by Assyrians, who at that time (around 1180 B.C.) still lived there. This also

explains why the Assyrians at the fall of Nineveh also migrated into Europe along the Rhine, to

settled with the other Assyrians already in Germany! It is no wonder that Smith’s Classical

Dictionary freely admits in the article “Germania,” on page 361: “There can be no doubt that

they [the Germans] immigrated to Europe from the Caucasus and the countries around the Black

and Caspian seas.”

The Mysterious Hatti Tribe

The Assyrians lived in the land of the Hittites. The Assyrian inscriptions “...call the Hittites,

Hatti, Khatti, Khatu, the Hebrew Heth or Cheth, Egyptian Kheta, Khita, Chinese Khitan...” (The

Hittites: Inscriptions and History Vol.1, by John Campbell, p.74). These Hittites were of the sons

of “Heth.” These were of Mongolian in race than Semitic, “The Hittites as shown both on their

own and on Egyptian monuments were clearly Mongoloid in type. They were short and stout,

prognathous, and had rather receding foreheads. The cheek-bones were high, the nose was large

and straight, forming almost a line with the forehead, and the upper lip protruded. They were

yellow in color, with black hair and eyes, and beardless, while according to the Egyptian

paintings they wore their hair in pigtails...” (Jewish Encyclopedia under “Hittites”). These were

transported to Parthia, then eventually China by the Assyrians, “The presence of Hittites in

Parthia, Hyrcania, and Sagartia, in the time of the Achnemenian Persians, is accounted for by

the overthrow of their Syrian Empire by the Assyrian Sargon, and their consequent banishment

or transportation to distant regions by their conqueror.” (ibid, p.110, emphasis added).

So, the Assyrians after transporting the original Hittites to another land as they did with the

Israelites and others, dwelt in the land of the Hittites, and carried the name of the “Hatti” with

them. As we see in history, other Assyrian tribes and kings knew very well that Assyrians lived

in land of the Hittites. Luckenbill wrote in his book “Ancient Records of Assyria and Babylon”,

volume 2, paragraph 29, which was published in 1926, that kings of certain tribes of the Hatti

were regarded “…AS ASSYRIANS I [ac]counted them” Obviously, that referred to those

Assyrians who were living in the Hittite lands. The old kings of the Assyrian Empire were called

“Khatti-sars”; i.e., Czar, Emperor or King of the Hatti or Khatti.

The ancient capital of the land of Hatti was popularly known among the Romans as “Ninus

Vetus — the old Nineveh” (“History of Art in Sardinia, Judaea, Syria and Asia Minor”, by G.

Perrot and C. Chipiez, Vol. II, page 272). Nineveh was Assyria’s capital! The Empire of Hatti

and the Empire of Assyria were the same Empire — not two empires existing five centuries apart

as historians assume.

Excavated records from Bible times PROVE that the great rulers of the land of Hatti were not

only contemporary with the famous kings of Assyria, but were also federated with them. All

ancient Greek writers agreed that Assyria and Anatolia (the land of Hatti) were allies.

We have already determined that the Assyrians, after the Babylonian confusion of tongues, had

accepted an Indo-Germanic language and were no longer speaking a Semitic language. The

linguist Edgar Sturtevant compared the Assyrian with the Germanic language and came to

surprising results, which he recorded in his book “A Comparative

Grammar.” His book was published in 1933 in Philadelphia.

Sturtevant wrote on page 240: “To me it seems incredible that so

remarkable a situation developed in two languages

independently. I feel compelled to trace the Germanic… to a

common origin [with the language of Hatti, which was a common

language of the Western Assyrians].” The language of Hatti was

an Indo-Germanic language, and not a Semitic language. Many

words of Hatti re-appear in the Old High German language.

Origin of the Modern Hessian

As did the linguist Edgar Sturtevandt, other researchers have also

recognized the relationship between the Assyrian Hatti and

modern German tribes. The “Encyclopedia Britannica” writes in

its article about Germany that the Hatti were a tribe living among

the Teutons who invaded Europe. In another article (in Volume

6) on the “Chatti,” it is explained that they were an ancient

Germanic tribe that often mixed with the Romans during the

early first century conflict. Of course, not all Teutons are

German.

However, in an article about the Hessians, the “Encyclopedia

Britannica” wrote in volume 13 that the early inhabitants of

Germany were the Chatti, who lived here during the first century,

and that the Chatti and the Hessians were identical. If one

understands this identity, certain historical events become very

clear. For example, the Assyrian Hatti coined the term “master

race.” They invented, or at least adopted, the double-headed

eagle, the iron cross and the swastika. Ancient Assyrians are

represented with a feather headdress and other insignia that

emerged as emblems in the Third Reich, like the swastika and the

concept of the master race.

The word “Heth,” from which “Hittites” is derived, and the word

“Chatti” mean the same thing— “warrior” or “man of war.” [It is

interesting that the syllable “ger” in “Germane” is an old German

word for “Wurfspiess,” i.e., “spear.” So a “Germane” is a man of

the spear or a man of war. The names for “Chatti” “and “Heth,”

meaning “warrior” or “man of war,” are therefore identical with

the meaning of the word “Germane.”].

Tacitus writes about the Teutons that “...war was their chief

industry” (Germania Tacitus). Concerning battle he writes that

these peoples followed the “will of one man, the chieftain.” The

incredible loyalty cannot be overlooked in the Assyrian and German histories!

The Hatti lorded over all other peoples who lived in Asia Minor. They were the inventors of the

DOUBLE-HEADED EAGLE which has always been A SYMBOL OF THE GERMAN

EMPIRE!

Professor A. H. Sayce states it was left to these people “to invent a double-headed eagle” (page

116 of “The Hittites”).

Hasting’s says: “The [northern] Hittites [Chatti] seem to have had a special fancy for combining

parts of different animals into strangely composite and sometimes grotesque forms” (Dictionary

of the Bible, vol.2 article, “Hittites”) He goes on to say that they were responsible for bringing

the double headed eagle into Europe. They have even found in Turkey, where the ancient Hittites

lived, the same symbol found in Europe, the double headed eagle. The double headed eagle was

also a symbol of the Kingdom of Prussia.

The Eastern European nations have the double headed eagle as well. Some of Abraham’s

descendants joined with the Assyrians, so it’s only likely that since they joined the Assyrian

community, that they incorporated their symbols as well.

“The Chatti were known to carry standards such as were seen in many Nazi parades...the

swastika...Another ritual standard and the ancient Chatti ...[was] the Iron Cross...” (Twentieth

Century Watch Magazine, Dec 1984, p.6).

The Prusa or Prussians, who are they?

In 1871, Prussia’s population numbered 24.69 million, accounting for 60% of the German

Empire’s population. In 1910, the population had increased to 40.17 million (62% of the

Empire’s population). In 1914, Prussia had an area of 354,490 km². In May 1939 Prussia had an

area of 297,007 km² and a population of 41,915,040 inhabitants.

Before its abolition, the territory of the Kingdom of Prussia included the provinces of West

Prussia; East Prussia; Brandenburg; Saxony (including much of the present-day state of Saxony-

Anhalt and parts of the state of Thuringia in Germany); Pomerania; Rhineland; Westphalia;

Silesia (without Austrian Silesia); Lusatia; Schleswig-Holstein; Hanover; Hesse-Nassau; and a

small detached area in the south called Hohenzollern, the ancestral home of the Prussian ruling

family.

For centuries, the House of Hohenzollern ruled Prussia, successfully expanding its size by way

of an unusually well-organized and effective army. Prussia, with its capital in Berlin after 1451,

shaped the history of Germany. In 1871, German states united in creating the German Empire

under Prussian leadership. In November 1918, the monarchies were abolished and the nobility

lost its political power. Prussia was effectively abolished in 1932, and officially abolished in

1947.

In the Weimar Republic the state of Prussia lost nearly all of its legal and political importance

following the 1932 coup led by Franz von Papen. East Prussia lost all of its German population

after 1945, as Poland and the Soviet Union absorbed its territory.

The term “Prussian” has often been used, especially outside of Germany, to emphasize the

professionalism, aggressiveness, militarism and conservatism of the Junker class of landed

aristocrats in the East who dominated first Prussia and then the German Empire before 1918.

The name “Prussia” derives from the Old Prussians. In the 13th century, the Teutonic Knights—

an organized Catholic medieval military order of German crusaders—conquered the lands

inhabited by them. In 1308, the Teutonic Knights conquered the formerly Polish region of

Pomerelia with Gdańsk (Danzig). Their monastic state was mostly Germanized through

immigration from central and western Germany and in the south. But does this go back even

farther? Where did these militaristic Prussians come from?

The Assyrians were a militaristic, warlike

nation. Strabo records that the Carmanians

(also named Germanii or Kermans) were “a

warlike people.” (Geography, vol.7, 15.2.14).

Also interesting is the fact that Strabo records

that an area of Asia Minor (into which Assyria

had moved whole populations) was named

“Prusa.” (ibid., vol5, 12.4.3).

When Hannibal the Carthaginian (in the

second century B.C.) was defeated by the

Romans, he fled to Armenia and was given

refuge by a king “Prusias.” (Church Carthage,

p.269).

As noted above the Assyrians dwelt in Asia Minor, and migrated to Europe. We see ancient

names, rituals, and characteristics of the Assyrians in the modern-day Germans. Were the

residents of Prusa called “Prusians?” If we see in their name the ancestors of the warlike

Prussians who later settled in eastern Germany, it is possible that they were descendants of

Assyrians who had been settled there during Assyria’s period of dominance in the region.

In wartime, the “Prussian” martial skills come to the fore, making it a scourge to its neighbors.

Germany’s militaristic heritage parallels that of the ancient Assyrians. Indeed, in ancient history,

when one examines the ferocity with which the Assyrians waged war (deporting or executing

whole populations, and the use of deliberate terror to induce fear in their enemies), the ferocity

and holocaust of World War Two parallel Assyria’s activities in the ancient world.

Can We Trace Assyria’s Migrations to Germany?

As we have shown earlier in the booklet, the book of Nahum shows that these people migrated

NORTH in to the mountains towards Europe: “Thy shepherds slumber, O king of Assyria: thy

nobles shall dwell in the dust: thy people is scattered upon the mountains, and no man gathereth

them” (3:18). The only mountains that are in the region of Assyria are the Caucasus Mountains

between the Black and the Caspian Sea. The Assyrian nation was situated just SOUTH of those

mountains, and it was often a place of refuge from danger. In the book of Kings the princes of

Assyria took refuge there: “So Sennacherib king of Assyria departed, and went and returned, and

dwelt at Nineveh.

“And it came to pass, as he was worshipping in the house of Nisroch his god, that Adrammelech

and Sharezer his sons smote him with the sword: and they escaped into the land of Armenia.

And Esarhaddon his son reigned in his stead” (2 Kings 19:36-37). Modern translations render

Armenia as “Ararat,” which is between the Black and the Caspian Sea just NORTH of Assyria.

Now, let’s look at secular history to see if it corroborates the Bible.

The Roman historian Pliny writes that he found “...a warlike people called the ASSYRIANI that

inhabited the region NORTH of the Black Sea” (“Natural History”, IV, § 12, page 183, emphasis

mine). They were north because of the Babylonian invasion from the south, which Nahum wrote

is the reason why the Assyrians were migrating north.

Now consider what Sylax, the author of the “Periplus,” who lived about 550 B.C., writes of this

region: “THE COAST OF THE BLACK SEA ... IS CALLED ASSYRIA” (from page 261 of

Perrot and Chipiez’s “History of Art in Sardinia, Judaea, Syria and Asia Minor”, Vol. II.,

emphasis mine).

Tacitus was a late first/early second century historian who apparently knew that the Germans at

least claimed to have come from Asia Minor at one time:

“When Tacitus informs us that the first act of a German on rising was ablution [washing], it will

be conceded, this habit was not acquired in the cold climate of Germany but must have been of

eastern origin; as were the loose flowing robe, the long and braided hair, tied in a knot on the top

of the head...Tacitus...knew their [German] claim to Asiatic origin, when he asks, ‘who would

leave the softer abodes of Asia for Germany where nature yields nothing but deformity?’’’ (Tod

The Assyrians continued on into Europe causing the Romans to build their famous limes

(defense positions and walls) and station legions along their northern borders to stop the

advancing warlike hordes. Jerome (Latin scholar c.340-420), who lived at the time when these

tribes were invading Europe, says: “For ‘Assur (the Assyrian) also is joined with them [Cimbric

Tribes] invading western Europe, ALONG THE RHINE’”! (Letter 123, § 16; from “Nicene and

Post-Nicene Fathers”).

As mentioned earlier, Smith’s Classical Dictionary states in the article “Germania,” on page

361: “There can be no doubt that they [the Germans] immigrated to Europe from the Caucasus

and the countries around the Black and Caspian seas.” (Emphasis added).

The Romans seeing these tribes called them by several names. One of the names was “Teutons.”

The Romans whose unaccustomed ears tried to translate into their own tongue the names of these

fierce barbaric peoples and rendered the “Deutschen” as the “Teutons” Another name was the

“GERMANS!”- A name meaning “men of war.” (From the “Encyclopedia Britannica”, article,

“Germany”). Yes, Assyria is Modern-day Germany!

Assyria—Ancestors of the Modern Germans a New Idea?

The idea that the Assyrians are the ancestors of German peoples was not unknown in the past.

Various authors from different backgrounds have expressed their beliefs in this regard. To note a

few: In 1870, the British author E. Hines published a book in London with the title “Forty-seven

Identifications of the British Nation with the Lost Ten Tribes.” He claims in that book that the

Germans are identical with the Assyrians.

Dr. Swaner, former editor of a German publication, stated in an essay, which was published in

the Daily Mail in 1910, that many Germans are descendants of the ancient Assyrians.

D.J. Pilkey pointed out in his work, “The Origin of Nations,” which was published in San Diego

in 1984 that many Germans descended from the Assyrians.

In summary, it can be stated that both legends and historical annals confirm that the modern

German-speaking peoples, including the Hessians, are descendants of the ancient Assyrians. This

knowledge is a necessary prerequisite for a correct understanding of the biblical prophecies

about the immediate future of Germany.

The Origins of the Germans

Can we establish a German connection between the ancient Assyrians and modern German-

speaking peoples? To answer this question, we must investigate the ancestry of the “Germans”

from various historical records.

Early annals identify the progenitor of all Germans as a man named “Tuysco” or “Tuisco”,

sometimes also called “Tuisto” or “Tuitsch.” Verstegan remarked in 1605 in “A Restitution of

Decayed Intelligence in Antiquities”: “Of this Tuisco, the first and chiefest man of many among

the Germans, and after whom they do call themselves Tuytshen, that is, duytsches or duytsch

people, I have already spoken…”

The “DTV-Lexikon” conveys this about “Tuisto”: “[According to Tacitus’ ‘Germania’, Tuisto

was] among the Teutons the first person [who] sprang from the earth... his son had the

designation ‘Mannus’ (i.e., man).”

Then the same lexicon writes under “Germania”: “The oldest tribal division traditionally reports,

according to Tacitus, of a deity Tuisto, his son Mannus, and his three sons, after whom the three

Western Germanic tribal groups, the Ingwäonen, the Istwäonen and the Herminones, are named.”

In his work, “Die Bayrische Chronik” (“The Bavarian Chronicle”), which was published in

Abendsberg in 1526, Johannes Turmair states that Tuitsch or Tuisto reigned from 2214 B.C. to

2038 B.C. and that he was said to be a son of Noah. His son Mannus would have been the father

of Trebeta, who, according to legend, founded Trier. We already know that Trebeta’s father was

the Assyrian king Ninus. Thus Ninus and Mannus were the same person – Mannus would merely

be the German name for Ninus. This would also mean that Ninus or Mannus was identical with

Asshur, and that Asshur’s father Shem, the son of Noah, was none other than the German

Tuitsch or Tuisto.

Again we see here the account of a legend, equating the Assyrian kings with German kings or

emperors.

Another Origin for “Deutsche”- The Teutons, ancestors of the German-speaking people,

worshiped a pantheon of pagan gods. Their main god was Tieu, the god of war, sometimes

known as Thor or Thur. This could designate the Assyrian god Assur (recall that the Assyrians

later revered their ancestor Asshur as a god). In ancient manuscripts Assur is often referred to as

Athur or Thur, and the country of Assyria is repeatedly designated as “Athuria.” Some Assyrians

migrated during the fall of Nineveh to the east and settled among the Persians. Herodotus also

referred to these tribes of the Assyrians as the “Germanii” (“History,” Book 1, paragraph 125).

This also shows that Assyrians were considered to be Germans.

History tells us that in the years 1650 B.C. and 1649 B.C., Indian King Sahadeva of Magadha

battled with the “Asuras.” Indian scholars claim that these Asuras were Assyrians. It is

interesting that these Asuras or Assyrians are referred to in Indian writings as “Daityas”—

”Daityas” in Sanskrit has the meaning of “German.”

Sometimes the name “Athur” was shortened simply to “Tyr” in the Indo-European tongue. His

name was placed on the THIRD DAY of the week — called “Tuesday” in the English-speaking

world. Tuesday is Asshur’s day. Tuesday is from an Old Saxon word meaning “Tiw’s day.” Tiw

was the god of war of the Germanic people of Europe. Tiw, or Tiwe, was also known by the

name Tyr — that is, Asshur. Tiw is another name of Asshur!

The Assyrians knew Asshur or Tyr was their ancestor. We should expect, therefore, that when

they migrated to Europe they would still be known as the sons of Tyr or Tiw, that is, Asshur.

And what do we find? When the Germans appeared in Europe, they claimed Tyr or Tiw as their

ancestor! But what has the name “Deutsche” to do with Tiw? The modern German word

“Deutsche” — as educated Germans know — is derived from the old Anglo-Saxon word Tiw.

(See any thorough book on etymology and word derivations.) Whenever a German calls himself

Deutsche, he is saying he is Tiw’s or Asshur’s son — an Assyrian. And when he terms his

country Deutschland, he is saying Tiw’s or Asshur’s land — Assyria!

Other Assyrian & German Similarities

In his well-documented book, “Nazi Germany - A New History,” which was published in 1995,

German-born author Klaus P. Fischer describes Hitler’s custom of staging parades of lights, as

follows: “It was a gleam of sinister beauty the world had not seen since the days of ancient

Assyrians” (page 342). Speaking of Hitler’s intentions to subjugate peoples, he states on page

496: “Most of these grandiose plans were postponed by the exigencies of war, but they reflect

the Assyrian nature of German policy toward conquered peoples.”

The Assyrian Hatti claimed to be “the Master Race.” The Hatti lorded it over other peoples who

lived in Asia Minor. Is it any surprise that The German State, from its beginning, has nearly

always been a confederation of states — often an empire of German ruling over non-German. It

is the German people who, more than once, have believed themselves to be the “Herrenvolk” —

the Master Race.!

The Assyrians were the first builders of major paved roads, not merely for commercial purposes,

but with the specific purpose of logistical support of armies in mind! A network of paved roads

led outward in various directions from the ancient Assyrian capital Nineveh. The Assyrians were

the very first to use iron chariots (mechanized vehicles of war). They had the most advance

technology in the world at that time, either industry or for war purposes. They were superb

warriors!

Tacitus writes about the Teutons that “...war was their chief industry” (Germania Tacitus).

Concerning battle he writes that these peoples followed the “will of one man, the chieftain.” The

incredible loyalty cannot be overlooked in the Assyrian and German histories!

World Wars I and II were both primarily due to German imperialism! When the “Fuhrer”

(leader) stood before the great German eagle and cried for lebensraum (“living space”), was that

so very different from the ways of ancient Assyria? “Its imperialistic ethic was embodied in the

Middle Assyrian coronation ritual, in which the officiating priest solemnly charged the king:

‘Expand your land!’” (p. 63). There are many such parallels. The worship of their father Asshur

is quite interesting. Perhaps it could explain why, instead of a “Mother Country,” the Germans

exalt the “Fatherland.”

Historian Will Durant writes, “Most often the prisoners [the Assyrians took in war]... were

dispatched after the battle; they knelt with their backs to their captors, who beat their heads in

with clubs, or cut them off with cutlasses.... The king, if time permitted, presided at the

slaughter. The nobles among the defeated were given more special treatment: their ears, noses,

hands and feet were sliced off, or they were thrown from high towers, or they and their children

were beheaded, or flayed alive, or roasted over a slow fire. No compunction seems to have

been felt at this waste of human life” (Story of Civilization, vol. 1, p. 271). Assyrian annals

even boast of such cruelties. Perhaps this conjures up images of the horrible torture experienced

by the Jews and others in the Holocaust.

One cannot escape the similarities between the Germans and the Assyrians! Look at the history

of Germany. They have the best technology and industrial strength in the entire world. In World

War One, they were destroyed, and then REBUILT ITSELF, and became a superpower again in

World War Two. After World War Two, Germany was lying in absolute rubble, and now it has

come back, and is the MAJOR POWER AGAIN IN EUROPE, AND THE WORLD! They are

the economic engine of Europe.

The Germans build the finest cars in the world. Look at

their beautiful cities, and industrial and economic

strengths that have taken over Europe and now the

world! Truly, the Germans like their ancestors, the

Assyrians, are great builders! (Above quotes from the

Seven Great Monarchies of the Ancient Eastern World,

chapter 6, pp.240-241, George Rawlinson).

Germany like the Assyrians had been great centers of

learning for generations. Germany’s inventions have

contributed greatly to the modern industrial world! “The

History of Germany,” writes Bayard Taylor, “is not the

history of a nation, but of a race ... Thus, even before the

fall of the Roman Empire, it becomes the main trunk out

of which branch histories of nearly all European nations,

and ... the connecting link between ancient and modern

history. The records of no other race throw so much light

upon the development of all civilized lands during a

period of fifteen hundred years" (from “History of

Germany”, page iii).

Germany has been a center of learning for generations.

From German inventions developed one of the most

powerful means of mass communication ever produced --

the printing press.

Many of the world’s most renowned musicians have

come from Germany and Austria -- Bach, Beethoven,

Brahms, Handel, Haydn, Mozart, Schumann, Schubert,

the Strausses and Wagner.

German inventions have contributed greatly to the

modern industrial world -- Daimler invented the

motorcycle (in 1885), and the gasoline-driven automobile

in 1887; Rudolf Diesel invented the Diesel engine;

Siemens, the furnace for steel-making; Bayer, the

synthesis of chemical dyes; Fahrenheit gave us the

mercury thermometer; Benz, the internal combustion

engine; Mitterhoffer, the typewriter; and Rontgen discovered the X ray.

They brought their Dogs with them!

Pets are taken along with their masters wherever new settlements get made. A favorite is the

canine, and for Assyrians most especially the drop-eared, short-muzzled, heavy-boned Mastiff or

Molossian used in battle as early as 2000 BC (Monsieur Lucian Guilbert, “Pet Crests”).

This basic stock produced the Boxer (Bullenbeiser, “bull-biter,” German hunting dog) and

Rottweiler. Molossers (Mastino) were depicted in Ninevite bas-reliefs dated about 640-580 BC

(http://home.online.no/~molossus/origin/originofthemolossers.html) and sculptures from the

What is Germany’s future role in prophecy? As we

have demonstrated in the beginning of the booklet, the

Assyrian & the Beast are one and the same in prophecy.

Germany will lead Europe in a ten nation combine and

fight Christ at his coming, see Rev 17:12-15.

But before this, what does Germany do when it comes to Geopolitics and the reshaping of the

current order?

In Daniel’s vision of the image he saw in the plain, at the feet and toes, part “potter’s clay,” and

part “Iron,” we know this is the NATO Alliance, the current situation we are in right now (Read

our booklet, Middle East in Prophecy for more details). But this will crumble and fall as God

said he would do to the House of Israel in the parable of the potter’s clay in Jeremiah 18.

NATO will break apart, the EU will come to its end as the 6th head or mountain will come to its

end, and the Beast will rise again, and the 7TH and final resurrection of the Beast will take place.

It is at this time, when the “Miry clay” phase will form, and a new alliance with the nations of

Ham headed by Egypt will attach itself to a new HOLY ROMAN EMPIRE LED BY GERMANY! (Read

our booklet Who, What is the Beast? for details).

The transition phase will unfold, from the Iron and the Potter’s clay, to the Iron and the Miry

clay. This will be the Holy Roman Empire led by Germany, the last resurrection of that great

Beast that will fight Christ at his coming. A marriage will also take place between the Beast

(Germany), and the Roman Catholic Church, similar to the Lateran Treaty between Hitler,

Mussolini and the Pope before World War Two. It will be a Church/State Empire. Germany, at

the helm of 10 nations in Europe, giving their power and strength to Germany! This I can see

when we look at what is unraveling today. The E.U. is a bust, it is not working, and there is no

central power. This is the one reason why the European Union does not work, and the United

States of America does work. A central bank, one economy, one army, a central power to lead

the nation. The prophecy says, “And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have

received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast.

“These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast.” (Rev 17:12-

13). The Europeans will unite their power with one central bank, one economy, one army, a

central power to lead Europe, and that nation will be the beast/Germany!

The Catholic Church is the “Woman” of prophecy: “The seven heads are seven mountains, on

which the woman sitteth.

“And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when

he cometh, he must continue a short space.” (Rev 17:9-10). She will sit on the seventh and final

restoration of that Empire, her, and her followers, nearly 1 Billion people! “The waters which

thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.”

(Rev 17:15).

In the Old Testament we read of this false church marrying this beast of prophecy! “Come down,

and sit in the dust, O virgin daughter [woman always a symbol of a church, see Eph 5:22-27] of

Babylon, sit on the ground: there is no throne, O daughter of the Chaldeans: for thou shalt no

more be called tender and delicate...I was wroth with my people, I have polluted mine

inheritance, and given them into thine hand: thou didst show them no mercy; upon the ancient

hast thou very heavily laid thy yoke...Therefore hear now this, thou that art given to pleasures,

that dwellest carelessly, that sayest in thine heart, I am, and none else beside me; I shall not sit

as a widow, neither shall I know the loss of children:” (Isaiah 47:1, 6, 8).

Verse 8 reveals that the church does not want to be a “widow” anymore. She lost her husband

when the axis powers of Germany and Italy fell. She became a widow, the alliance died. Soon

she will ask for another marriage with the nations.

This church also wants her “children” back as well. These are the daughters that came out of the

Catholic Church in “protest” and call themselves “Protestant.” They too will come back to this

mother church in the end time!

Then, added to this the Miry clay nations of Ham. Prophecies speak of Egypt rising to power

with a cruel dictator to lead it. Germany and Egypt will invade the land of Israel, and the Beast

will set up head quarters there, and the Pope will sit in the temple of God showing everyone that

he is God! Think of how enormous the Empire is going to be! A huge conglomerate of nations,

and 1 Billion religious followers! What will this Empire do to the modern nations of Israel-

Judah, Britain, and the other European Israelite nations?

Let’s begin with Micah’s prophecy!

Micah 5 shows clearly who Christ is to fight in this end time: “But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah,

though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me

that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting [Prophecy

of Christ, see Matthew 2:6]...And this man [Messiah] shall be the peace, when the Assyrian shall

come into our land: and when he shall tread in our palaces... thus shall he [Messiah] deliver us

from the Assyrian, when he cometh into our land, and when he treadeth within our borders”

(Micah 5:2, 5-6). “Modern Translations (NEB, JB, GNB) as NIV fittingly conclude this

paragraph with the first phrase of v.5, thus understanding the MESSIAH himself to be...peace

(c.f. Isa 9:6-7)” (International Bible Commentary, p.934, F.F. Bruce, emphasis mine). The

Messiah will defeat this Assyrian when he comes into the Land of Israel. As we have seen in

Revelation, Christ fights the Beast at his coming, see Rev 17:12-14. But notice what the Assyrian

does in this prophecy. He “… shall come into our land: and when he shall tread in our palaces…

he treadeth within our borders.” He comes and occupies the land by force, by his military!

Revelation 11and Daniel 12 tells us, “the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two

months.” (11:2). “And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the

abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days.”

(Dan 12:11). This is done by the Beast and the False Prophet.

A three and one half year Great Tribulation, when the Abomination of desolation is set up by the

Pope in the Temple of God (2 Thessalonians 2:2-4). Jesus said, “When ye therefore shall see the

abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso

readeth, let him understand:)…. For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the

beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.” (Matthew 24:15, 21). The Pope setting

himself up in the temple of God showing himself that he is God will trigger the Great Tribulation

that is coming upon the peoples of Jacob, “Jacob’s trouble” (Jer 30:7), and that is the peoples of

the USA, the British Commonwealth of Nations, the peoples of North Western Europe and the

Jews Today!

The Assyrian Beast, Britain & North Western Europe

The Bible reveals to us that the Beast will occupy Israel, no doubt because the Pope wants to go

back to the birth place of the church and assert its control over the holy places. As the prophecy

says of the false prophet, “And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him,” (Rev

13:12). Remember the “Woman sitteth” on top of the Beast, steering it to do its will. So, when

this is accomplished and the Pope is set up in the temple of God, after 30 days, Jesus said the

great tribulation will begin, which is 1260 days or three and one half years, a total of Daniel’s

1290 days.

Now, the prophecies reveal, the sacking of Jerusalem, and the invasion of Britain, and

Northwestern Europe by the Assyrian led Beast.

In Isaiah 9:1-7 we read of a dual prophecy. This prophecy in type was fulfilled in the days of

Isaiah, but then found its fulfillment in Christ, but not its full fulfillment, because the prophecy

has to do with the second coming of Christ: “Nevertheless the dimness shall not be such as was

in her vexation, when at the first he lightly afflicted the land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali,

and afterward did more grievously afflict her by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, in Galilee of

the nations.

“The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the

shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined.[Jesus Matthew 4:13-16]

“Thou hast multiplied the nation, and not increased the joy: they joy before thee according to the

joy in harvest, and as men rejoice when they divide the spoil.

“For thou hast broken the yoke of his burden, and the staff of his shoulder, the rod of his

oppressor, as in the day of Midian [This is the Assyrian see, Isaiah 10:26-27].

“For every battle of the warrior is with confused noise, and garments rolled in blood; but this

shall be with burning and fuel of fire.

“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his

shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting

Father, The Prince of Peace.

“Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David,

and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from

henceforth even forever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this. [The Kingdom of

God]” When Isaiah made this prophecy, the “people” in verse 2 of the tribes of Zebulon and

Naphtali were in the land. The “people” of Zebulon and Naphtali however did not see Christ

when the prophecy was fulfilled in Matthew 4:13-16, simply because, they were not dwelling in

Palestine at the time, but fled to other nations. This shows that it was only fulfilled in type, in

Jesus day. The Great “Light” that Israel will see in its full fulfillment will be at the second

coming when “as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall

also the coming of the Son of man be” (Matthew 24:27). What great light shines from the east to

the west? The Sun. Jesus is called the “Sun of Righteousness,” and his face shines like the “sun”

in its full strength, see Malachi 4:2; Rev 1:16.

In the beginning of this prophecy, it starts with the two invasions of land of Zebulun and the land

of Naphtali. They were lightly afflicted, then, they were grievously afflicted. These are the two

invasions by first, Pul King of Assyria, see 2 Kings 15:19-20. Then, the second invasion which

deported all of them to Assyria was by Tiglathpileser. But, then this is shown in the New

Testament to be a prophecy about Christ in his first coming, of him, and his ministry in Galilee.

For thirty years he had dwelt at Nazareth, in Zebulon. There he had first come forward to teach

in a synagogue; (Luke 4:16-21) in Galilee he had done his first miracles; (John 2:11 John 4:54)

at Capernaum. “Upon the sea coast, in the borders of Zabulon and Nephthalim,” he commenced

his preaching of repentance. (Matt 4:13-17) The “light” first streamed forth in this quarter,

glorifying the region on which contempt had long been poured. But as we look further into the

prophecy we see many end time elements of the second coming of Christ as well. This was just a

type of Jesus second coming, and saving the people of Holland (Zebulon), and Naphtali

(Sweden) from the Assyrian.

Again, the “people” in verse two means the people of Zebulon and Naphtali who were invaded at

the time. They are living “in darkness” and “have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of

the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined.” Does not Jesus come as his face shining

like the Sun in his full strength? Is he not called the “light of the world”? Why is the land called

the “shadow of death”? Further examination of this prophecy clearly tells us why.

“Thou hast multiplied the nation, and not increased the joy: they joy before thee according to the

joy in harvest, and as men rejoice when they divide the spoil.” (v.3). Here, this verse shows that

the Israelites of these tribes increase and become strong and mighty. Then, the joy does not

increase but diminishes. Why? Well, then the situation changes, their joy increases again when

they divide the spoil. What happens here? The next verse explains: “For thou hast broken the

yoke of his burden, and the staff of his shoulder, the rod of his oppressor, as in the day of

Midian.” (v.4). this scripture is the same as Isaiah 10:24-27. Chapter 10 is an end time prophecy

of the second coming of Christ. We will examine into this scripture later in the booklet. But, this

explains why the land is in gloom, and in darkness. The Assyrian has northern Europe in its

grips, and is holding them in slavery and captivity.

“For every battle of the warrior is with confused noise, and garments rolled in blood; but this

shall be with burning and fuel of fire.” (v.5). Clearly a battle is being fought here. When Christ

comes, those who are full of blood shall burn in the wrath of God against the nations, that Christ

fights at his coming.

“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his

shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting

Father, The Prince of Peace.

“Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David,

and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from

henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.

“The Lord sent a word into Jacob, and it hath lighted upon Israel.” (vv.6-8). these verses clearly

show that this is an end time prophecy. God sends the “Word” to Israel, their Savior who is

called the “Word of God,” to save them from their oppressor, the Assyrian.

What of Britain? In the book of Obadiah, Edom is charged with betraying “Jacob.” There is a

clear distinction between Jacob and Judah in this prophecy. Jacob of course is primarily Ephraim

(Britain) and Manasseh (USA). Judah, the modern-day Jews in Israel.

In this prophecy God accuses Edom (Modern-day Turkey) of Betraying his brother Jacob, by

standing with the Beast power, and not with Jacob. Clearly, these passages show the NATO

alliance breaking apart, and the USA and the British left in Palestine defending the Jewish state

alone.

God has revealed that the “King of the North” will occupy Israel Daniel 11:45. This king of the

North is the USA and the British, the Chief Powers of NATO (Read our booklet Middle East in

Prophecy for further details). At that time, “…he shall come to his end, and none shall help

him.” (v.45). When the USA and Britain occupy Israel, NATO will break apart. There is a

similar scripture in Jeremiah, “All thy lovers [“allies” Moffat Translation] have forgotten thee;

they seek thee not;” (30:14). China will deliver that “wound” that will break the alliance apart.

American and British forces that are left in Israel will be carried away captive by the emerging

Beast power. The Potter’s clay phase ends, and the Miry Clay phase begins. In this transition,

Turkey will side with the Beast and betray the USA and Britain.

Obadiah writes, “For thy violence against thy brother Jacob shame shall cover thee, and thou

shalt be cut off for ever.

“In the day that thou stoodest on the other side, in the day that the strangers carried away

captive his forces, and foreigners entered into his gates, and cast lots upon Jerusalem, even

thou wast as one of them.

“But thou shouldest not have looked on the day of thy brother in the day that he became a

stranger; neither shouldest thou have rejoiced over the children of Judah in the day of their

destruction; neither shouldest thou have spoken proudly in the day of distress.

“Thou shouldest not have entered into the gate of my people in the day of their calamity; yea,

thou shouldest not have looked on their affliction in the day of their calamity, nor have laid

hands on their substance in the day of their calamity; “Neither shouldest thou have stood in the crossway, to cut off those of his that did escape;

neither shouldest thou have delivered up those of his that did remain in the day of distress.

(vv.10-14). Jacob is in Jerusalem! Why? Daniel 11:45 tells us, they occupy Israel, and the

“glorious holy Mountain” because of the “tidings” out of the East and the North, meaning Iran.

As we have seen in other prophecies, the “Assyrian” treads down, Jerusalem and Judah in the

end time at Christ coming. These “strangers” in Obadiah’s prophecy can only mean the Beast

power that take away the forces of America and Britain and imprison them. Obadiah’s prophecy

ends with, “and the kingdom shall be the LORD’S.” (v.21). It is an end time prophecy!

We also see, the “crossway” being cut off for American and British forces trying to escape. This

crossway can only mean the Bosporus and Dardanelles.

The Americans also have “substance” in the land of Israel. Military equipment, other material

goods, military bases, other things that an occupying power has in other lands. So American and

British forces will be defeated in the land of Israel, and NATO will come to a close.

The land of Britain itself will also come under the power of the Beast. Ephraim (Britain) it says

the “Assyrian [The Beast] shall be his king” And Ephraim, “shall eat unclean things in Assyria

[the beast]” (Hosea 9:3; 10:6). The British people will make a covenant “with death” (Isaiah

28:19) meaning the “Assyrians” (Hosea 12:1). They make this covenant with them thinking that

they would avoid the attack from Germany, “it shall not come unto us” (Isaiah 28:15). But God

says no! The agreement shall not stand, and “ye shall be trodden down by it” (v.18). Then they

shall go into captivity, see Isaiah 11.

What about America? The Beast or Germany will NOT ATTACK AMERICA! But who will attack

the United States of America? Read our booklet China in Prophecy for full details.

The Pivotal prophecy of Isaiah 10

Now we come to this prophecy that clearly shows what the Assyrian will do to the Israelitish

European nations in the end time.

Isaiah 10:5-6 says: “O ASSYRIAN, the rod of mine anger, and the staff in their hand is mine

indignation.

“I will send him against an hypocritical nation, and against the people of my wrath will I give

him a charge, to take the spoil, and to take the prey, and to tread them down like the mire of the

streets.” God is going to send the Assyrian and his army against the House of Israel. World War

III is going to happen against the British and the Scandinavian powers and this time, the nations

of Israel are going to lose, unless we repent and return to Almighty God!

God will punish the Assyrian (the Beast) for his sins as well, Isaiah continues in the same

chapter, “Wherefore it shall come to pass, that when the Lord hath performed his whole work

upon mount Zion and on Jerusalem, I will punish the fruit of the stout heart of the king of

Assyria, and the glory of his high looks.

“For he [the Assyrian] saith, By the strength of my hand I have done it, and by my wisdom; for I

am prudent: and I have removed the bounds of the people, and have robbed their treasures, and I

have put down the inhabitants like a valiant man:” (v.12-13).

During this time of great tribulation, the house of Israel will be as they were in the time when

they were in Egypt as slaves to the Assyrian, who is a type of Pharaoh.

“Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD of hosts, O my people that dwellest in Zion, be not afraid of

the Assyrian: he shall smite thee with a rod, and shall lift up his staff against thee, after the

manner of Egypt” (v.24). God will do what he did in the days of Moses. Israel will be in slavery

and captivity, then he will send the two witnesses to send plagues to “the seat of the beast” (Rev

16:10), telling the Assyrian to let his people go!

God will of course save his people from slavery and captivity as he did in the days of Moses:

“And it shall come to pass in that day, that the remnant of Israel, and such as are escaped of the

house of Jacob, shall no more again stay upon him that smote them; but shall stay upon the

LORD, the Holy One of Israel, in truth.

“The remnant shall return, even the remnant of Jacob, unto the mighty God... And in that day

there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles

seek: and his rest shall be glorious.

“And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall set his hand again the second time to

recover the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria...And he shall set up an

ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed

of Judah from the four corners of the earth...And the LORD shall utterly destroy the tongue of

the Egyptian sea; and with his mighty wind shall he shake his hand over the river, and shall smite

it in the seven streams, and make men go over dryshod.

“ And there shall be an highway for the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria;

like as it was to Israel in the day that he came up out of the land of Egypt” (Isaiah 10:20-21;

11:10-12, 15-16). God will perform what he did in the days of Moses and save his people.

Assyria’s Future Invasion of Judah

As mentioned earlier, the Assyrian led Beast will be in an alliance with the Hamitic nations of

Egypt, Libya, Palestine, and Africa etc…the miry clay nations. Prophecies show the Beast

invasion of Judah from the north, and the Egyptian led invasion from the south.

Isaiah the 7th chapter gives us the prophecy about Christ, “And he said, Hear ye now, O house of

David; Is it a small thing for you to weary men, but will ye weary my God also?

“Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a

son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

“Butter and honey shall he eat, that he may know to refuse the evil, and choose the good.

“For before the child shall know to refuse the evil, and choose the good, the land that thou

abhorrest shall be forsaken of both her kings.

“The LORD shall bring upon thee, and upon thy people, and upon thy father’s house, days

that have not come, from the day that Ephraim departed from Judah; even the king of

Assyria.”(vv.13-17). This prophecy shows that Jesus is to be born. Before age 12, the land will

be forsaken by both her kings, meaning the kings of Israel and Judah. Then God says that he will

bring upon them, the king of Assyria in the “days that have not come.” Chapter 8 again God

says, “Now therefore, behold, the Lord bringeth up upon them the waters of the river, strong and

many, even the king of Assyria, and all his glory: and he shall come up over all his channels, and

go over all his banks:

“And he shall pass through Judah; he shall overflow and go over, he shall reach even to the

neck; and the stretching out of his wings shall fill the breadth of thy land, O Immanuel” (vv.7-

8). A huge army will come into Judah led by Assyria. Immanuel is mentioned in this portion of

the prophecy because it is meant for the end time.

In Isaiah 7, this prophecy mentions Egypt, and Assyria invading the land of Judah: “And it shall

come to pass in that day, that the LORD shall hiss for the fly that is in the uttermost part of the

rivers of Egypt, and for the bee that is in the land of Assyria.

“And they shall come, and shall rest all of them in the desolate valleys, and in the holes of the

rocks, and upon all thorns, and upon all bushes.

“In the same day shall the Lord shave with a razor that is hired, namely, by them beyond the

river, by the king of Assyria, the head, and the hair of the feet: and it shall also consume the

beard.” (vv.18-20).

The International Bible Commentary writes, “Not only Assyria but Egypt will…bring trouble to

Judah. Egypt was noted for its flies, Assyria for its bees, and God is depicted as a bee-keeper

whistling for the bees to follow. Plainly, Judah is to be the land infested by the two…two of

Judah’s allies preying upon her” (p.727). What is interesting is that Assyria is called the “razor

that is hired.” Will Germany be employed by Judah for its protection to get a foothold into

Palestine? The Bible says, “And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are

come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up.

“And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power: and he shall destroy wonderfully,

and shall prosper, and practise, and shall destroy the mighty and the holy people.

“And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify

himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince

of princes; but he shall be broken without hand.” (Daniel 8:23-25). With the weakened forces of

the USA and British, and a new militarized Germany that is Jewish friendly right now, surely the

Jews will look to them as they do to the United States today for protection from her enemies.

Jesus fights the Beast (Assyrian) at his coming

As demonstrated above, Jesus fights the beast, which we have identified as the Assyrian in other

prophecies, “And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together

to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army.

“And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with

which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his

image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.” (Rev 19:19-20).

Christ fights the Beast at his coming, and the Old Testament reveals that Jehovah (Jesus)

destroys the Assyrian at his coming.

Isaiah 30 shows the “Mountain of YHWH” being set up (verse 29), meaning the Kingdom of

God, (see Isaiah 2; Micah 4; Daniel 2:35, 40-45).

Then: “... through the voice of YHWH shall the Assyrian be beaten down, which smote with a

rod” (v.31). Notice that through divine fiat, the “Assyrian” is defeated. Jesus does the same,

“And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations” (Rev 19:15).

In the book of Micah, it says, “he [Jesus] deliver us from the Assyrian, when he cometh into our

land, and when he treadeth within our borders.” Revelation the 11th

chapter revelas Jerusalem is

to be conquered, “…and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months.” (v.2).

As Jesus said, “and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the

Gentiles be fulfilled.” (Luke 21:24). This is done by the Assyrian-Beast power.

Notice Isaiah’s prophecy of Jesus treading down the Assyrian, after the Assyrian treads down

Judah and Israel, “That I will break the Assyrian in my land, and upon my mountains tread him

under foot: then shall his yoke depart from off them, and his burden depart from off their

shoulders.

“This is the purpose that is purposed upon the whole earth: and this is the hand that is stretched

out upon all the nations.” (Isaiah 14:25-26). This is done on a global scale, not just Palestine.

Back to Isaiah the 10th

chapter in the latter verses of that prophecy it says, “As yet shall he

remain at Nob that day: he shall shake his hand against the mount of the daughter of Zion, the

hill of Jerusalem.

“Behold, the Lord, the LORD of hosts, shall lop the bough with terror: and the high ones of

stature shall be hewn down, and the haughty shall be humbled.

“And he shall cut down the thickets of the forest with iron, and Lebanon shall fall by a mighty

one.” (vv.32-34). The “Assyrian” will be a Nob just outside of Jerusalem shaking his hand at it

meaning threatening to destroy it which he does tread down for 42 months.

Yahweh himself will “lop the bough with terror” meaning “Cut off the king of Assyria and his

army, in a most terrible manner; ‘the glory’ of it, as in Isaiah 10:18 the word signifies that which

is the ornament, the beauty and glory, of the tree… And the high ones of stature shall be hewn

down; the princes of Assyria, so boasted of as kings, Isaiah 10:8 comparable to tall trees, to oaks

and cedars:” (Gill’s Commentary, emphasis theirs).

The next verse reveals the “thicket of the Forest” that God will cut off in Lebanon, “Lebanon is

here evidently descriptive of the army of the Assyrian, retaining the idea of a beautiful and

magnificent forest. Thus, in Ezekiel 31:3, it is said, ‘the king of the Assyrians was a cedar of

Lebanon with fair branches.’’’ (Clarke’s Commentary, emphasis added). Lebanon was used as a

symbol of the Assyrian army because, “These are Sennacherib’s own figures of himself. See 2

Kings 19:23. Compare Isaiah 29:17. Ezekiel 31:3-8.” (Bullinger’s Companion Bible).

Notice the latter end of verse 34, “and Lebanon shall fall by a mighty one.” “rather, a glorious

one (comp. Isaiah 33:21, where the word here used—adir—is an epithet of Jehovah).” (Pulpit

Commentary).

“The ‘Mighty One’ is Jehovah (Isa 10:21; Isa 9:6).” (JFB Commentary). In this prophecy which

is an end time prophecy it is Jehovah himself Jesus Christ that destroys the Assyrian. This is

during the time of the last great battle when the armies of the world follow the Beast to fight

Christ (see Revelation 19:19; Joel 3:2, 9-16).

Jesus, who is Yahweh, treads down the Assyrian in the land of Palestine, which is his “land;” and

also, upon his “mountains.” A mountain is a symbol of a nation or kingdom (See Daniel 2:35,

44). These “mountains” of Israel, are the nations of the lost tribes of Israel, Ephraim, Zebulon,

Naphtali, Issachar, Asher, Dan, Gad, Reuben, Simeon, Benjamin, European Israel. Isaiah 9 as

noted above the Assyrian attacks Zebulon, Naphtali, and the other tribes of Galilee. The German

led beast will destroy and occupy these nations including Judah as well. Jesus will tread him

down and bring an end to his rule. There is no doubt that the Beast is the Assyrian!

Israel and Judah slaves in Egypt and Assyria

Many end time prophecies show Israel coming back to the land of Israel as refugees. They will

be enslaved because of their sins by their enemies. The Bible lists the places where they will be.

Isaiah 11, a clear prophecy of Christ, and him bringing his people back to Israel says, “And it

shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall set his hand again the second time to recover

the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathros,

and from Cush, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the islands of

the sea.” (v.11). Israel is scattered in Egypt, Germany, Africa, Italy, and of course in the Isles.

These are the miry clay nations allied with Germany that will enslave the Israelites.

Another prophecy Isaiah confirms chapter 11, “And it shall come to pass in that day, that the

LORD shall beat off from the channel of the river unto the stream of Egypt, and ye shall be

gathered one by one, O ye children of Israel.

“And it shall come to pass in that day, that the great trumpet shall be blown, and they shall come

which were ready to perish in the land of Assyria, and the outcasts in the land of Egypt, and shall

worship the LORD in the holy mount at Jerusalem.” (27:12-13).

Zechariah 10, another prophecy says, “I will bring them again also out of the land of Egypt, and

gather them out of Assyria; and I will bring them into the land of Gilead and Lebanon; and place

shall not be found for them.

“And he shall pass through the sea with affliction, and shall smite the waves in the sea, and all

the deeps of the river shall dry up: and the pride of Assyria shall be brought down, and the

sceptre of Egypt shall depart away.” (vv.10-11). Again, Israel in Egypt and Assyria.

The Pulpit Commentary says, “…regarding the immediate context, we had better translate, ‘the

rod of Egypt,’ and see in it an allusion to the oppression of the taskmasters during the sojourn in

that land. All such tyranny shall be at an end. (comp. Isa 10:24).”

The book of Hosea has prophecies that reveal “Ephraim” (Britain) again enslaved by Assyria and

Egypt. “They shall not dwell in the LORD’S land; but Ephraim shall return to Egypt, and they

shall eat unclean things in Assyria…They shall tremble as a bird out of Egypt, and as a dove out

of the land of Assyria: and I will place them in their houses, saith the LORD.” (9:3; 11:11).

The book of Joel shows the Lord fighting for his land and his people, and gathers all nations to

battle. God says, “For, behold, in those days, and in that time, when I shall bring again the

captivity of Judah and Jerusalem,

“I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will

plead with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among

the nations, and parted my land.” (Joel 3:1-2). Israel is scattered and the land of Israel divided as

spoils of war.

Notice the condition of the Israelites in the next few verses, “And they have cast lots for my

people; and have given a boy for an harlot, and sold a girl for wine, that they might drink. “Because ye have taken my silver and my gold, and have carried into your temples my goodly

pleasant things:

“The children also of Judah and the children of Jerusalem have ye sold unto the Grecians, that

ye might remove them far from their border.” (3, 5-6). Land is plundered, boys and girls sold

and used for despicable purposes, and the Jews removed from Palestine as well.

Joel continues, “Egypt shall be a desolation, and Edom shall be a desolate wilderness, for the

violence against the children of Judah, because they have shed innocent blood in their land.”

(v.19). Egypt and Turkey as we have read in Obadiah and Isaiah will make war against Judah in

an alliance with the Beast, and God will avenge Judah for what they have done to them. These

are innocent, because in that time of slavery Israel repents of their sins and returns to Almighty

God, and their hearts have changed.

Germany’s Final Repentance

God sent the prophet Jonah to ancient Nineveh, the capital of ancient Assyria. The Ninevites

repented. After World War II, Germany was faced with the question of national repentance. Had

America and Britain repented of their sins, they could have been used as was Jonah to bring the

Germans to repentance. But our people refused. We did not show the Germans God’s Way. We

tried to convert them to democracy — our human way. But God’s way is not democracy!

The entire book of Nahum — one of the so-called Minor Prophets — is devoted to the final

punishment of the German-dominated Church-State union yet to arise in Europe. The setting of

the prophecy is the original fall of Nineveh about 612 B.C. What happened to Nineveh, the

ancient capital of Assyria, was a type of what will happen in our day! Notice that the actual

setting of this prophecy is the time of God’s “wrath” — the Day of the Lord (Nahum 1:2, 6).

That day of God’s intervention is YET FUTURE. It has not happened yet! This prophecy, then,

is for our day! God said: “The pride of Assyria SHALL BE BROUGHT DOWN.” Compare this

with Isaiah 14:24- 27. This could not happen UNLESS THERE WERE AN ASSYRIA TODAY

— a nation so powerful as finally to be able to carry our people captive in world war (Zech.

l0:l0). These prophecies are to happen “in that day” — the climactic time of the end, when God

intervenes in human affairs (Isaiah 30:31 and 31:8).

When the nations learn their lesson — learn that war does not pay, then “In that day shall there

be a highway out of Egypt to Assyria, and the Assyrian shall come into Egypt, and the Egyptians

much suffering to be endured. Human beings, it seems, will learn no other way! But for those

who do repent now, who do seek God’s protection — no matter in what nation they live — God

promises: “I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the

world, to try them that dwell upon the earth” (Revelation 3:10).
