I am pleased to categorize Mr. Jon Basinski as one of those individuals. I highly recommend him as an accomplished student but more importantly as a mature, very capable young man. Jon was a student in my recently completed Capstone Business Strategy class and his work was outstanding. He consistently performed at “A” grade levels and often went far beyond required activities to research and bring insightful perspectives to issues and topics in both assignments and exams and in his class discussions and presentations, which were excellent. I have rarely run into such a talented student. His reasoning is excellent, his work ethic superb, and he is a very pleasant, outgoing person as well. Easy to see why he has been an honor student here at Dominican. Jon has also had a good deal of work experience and responsibility in both the Real Estate and the Maintenance business and as a result is far more mature and has a better grasp of the real world than the large majority of undergraduate students that I encounter. He was recently named an assistant Baseball Coach at Dominican, another endorsement of his leadership ability. I have rarely had a student whose organization, critical thinking skills, writing & oral communication skills and common sense can match that of this outstanding young man Gerald M. In my ten years as a teacher, after a successful business career, I have had several outstanding students in my classes.
