The purpose of this session is to provide GRC attendees with a summary of the new regulations that have changed the process for accessing federal lands through leasing, as well as operations on existing and future federal leases. Representatives from the BLM/MMS National Geothermal Regulation Team, the Team that developed both the Proposed and Final regulations, will present a summary of the geothermal regulations that now apply to federal lands. Time will be available to ask questions of the Team at the end of each of the five general segments, including competitive leasing and extensions, direct use leasing, lease work requirements, royalties and direct use fees, and units. Copies of both the BLM and MMS regulations will be available. Free.
