Five structural areas comprise the 120 + 2 Credit Hour curriculum:• 21 hours -- MUSI Lower Division Requirements

Includes Fundamentals of Musicianship I-IV, Laptop Orchestra, and Introduction to Audio Technology I-II

• 29 hours -- MUSI Upper Division RequirementsIncludes four semesters of Ensemble I-IV, Recording and Mixing, Perception and Cognition, and project and capstone studios

• 45 hours -- Core Curriculum and Health Requirements• 15 - 23 hours – Concentration/minor• 4 - 12 hours -- Free Electives• General Concentration• Concentration in Mechanical Engineering• Concentration in Electrical and Computer Engineering

• Marching Band- MWF- 4:05-5:55pm- 2 Hours Credit

• Perc Ensemble and Guard – MWF -3:05 – 3:55pm – 1 Hour Credit

• Concert Band- TR- 3:00-4:15pm- 1 Hour Credit

• Symphonic Band-TR-4:30-5:45pm-1 Hour Credit

• Orchestra- TR- 12:00-1:15pm- 1 Hour Credit

• Chamber Orchestra- TR- 1:30-2:45pm- 1 Hour Credit

Questions• What are the costs associated with participation in

the various ensembles?

– First-year Marching Band instrumentalists pay a one time fee of $300. This covers all band attire, uniform cleaning, and other dues.

– Concert ensembles require concert dress

– There are club dues for choral members and orchestra

• Are scholarships available?

– We do not offer scholarships at this time. There are opportunities for students involved in the band program to

– Yes! The Couch building practice rooms are accessible by Buzz Card.

– Practice Room access can be rented for $15 per semester

• Is there a place to store personal instruments?

– Yes! We have an instrument storage room that can be accessed by Buzz Card at any hour of the day.

– Lockers can be rented for $15 per semester

– School instruments are available for $25 per semester

• What if I have a conflict with a class?
