Known now as Acuity Plaza, the design features people-scaled places surrounding a large, raised lawn. The lawn area accommodates significant underground stormwater retention and recharge while the built-in seating and shaded, terraced dining area invite pedestrians away from heavily- trafficked streets. Step lights, tree uplights and LED pavement lighting lead to the entrance of the College of Management. The plan’s simplicity and restraint offer a flexible backdrop for urban life and activities while maintaining the school’s recognizable urban character and identity. The design energizes both campus and community life in this vibrant neighborhood.
