LineName lines using two points
or
with a single script letter
by definition all lines are straighta line continues forever in two directions2 points define a line
Segment
a finite portion of a linea segment has two endpointsWe name a segment using two points

rayalso part of a line, but an infinite parta ray has one endpoint and continues forever in one direction
We name rays starting with the endpoint and then another point
RK
EF
Opposite rays
have the same endpoint but go in opposite directionsthey form a line

collinear
being on the same line
Is it possible to draw two points that are not on the same line?

1) Name three lines.
2) Name three rays.
3) Name four segements.
4) Where do these two lines intersect?
Draw the following items in your notes.
1) Draw JK and EF such that they intersect at point X.
2) Draw lines m and n that intersect at point Q.
3) Draw K,S on line r.

Draw plane P and line m such that there is exactly 1 intersection point.
Draw plane Q and line n such that there are NO intersection points.
Draw plane R and line k such that there are infinitely many intersection points.
Draw plane S and line j such that there are at least 1 intersection point.
Sketch a plane and label it plane T. Show points R and S that lie on the plane and point Q that does not lie on plane T.
Sketch line b that intersects plane A at exactly one point.
