Currently, we can find a lot of geolocating applications for web and mobile, including those of social networks.
However, we haven’t found any geolocator applied to virtual learning environments.

The virtual campus of the UOC needs a tool to promote search and collaboration between different members of the UOC community
To promote a sense of belonging
Current tools don’t resolve the geographic search of users

Geolocator: a brief story of the project
First ideas: PIxG (Innovation Project)
Development: not very good because the supplier…
• doesn’t take into account accessibility standards
• doesn’t follow recommendations of design
• doesn’t integrate some functionalities within the virtual campus
We adapted the look & feel, implemented correctly the css and solved mistakes of development!

the tool is useful in order to:
• enhance meetings between them
• to know the presence of the UOC at the territory
