SCRIPTURE:

COMING UP:

Micah 6:8 And what does the Lord require of you, but to do justice, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?

justice = mishpat (the action) mercy = checed (the attitude)

Zechariah 7:10-11 This is what the Lord Almighty says: Administer true justice, show mercy and compassion to one another. Do not oppress the widow or the fatherless, the immigrant or the poor.

Proverbs 31:8 Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves; ensure justice for those being crushed. Yes, speak up for the poor and helpless, and see that they get justice.

Psalms 146:7-9 He executes justice for the oppressed and gives food to the hungry. The Lord sets prisoners free, the Lord gives sight to the blind, he lifts up those who are bowed down, the Lord loves those who live justly. The Lord watches over the immigrant and sustains the fatherless and the widow, but he frustrates the ways of the wicked.

GOD WANTS SO MUCH TO BE CLOSE TO US. He’s not mad at us, but He loves us.And He loved us so much, He sent His own Son, Jesus, to die for your sin and mine. Jesus died in our place, and when He did, all the not so pretty junk, the hidden part of our story, the sin, died with Him. We don’t have to pay the price. He paid it. All we have to do is believe. And when we do, all the junk is washed away. Gone. Like it never happened. Shame. Regret. Pain. Remorse. All gone. Forgiven. Forgotten. Forever. If you’ve never had the chance, or you never knew that you could have an eternal place in THIS great story. We'd like to help. You could pray this way:

“God, You know my whole story. And You love me anyway. Like all people everywhere, I have sin that separates me from You. I believe that Jesus died for me. I believe You raised Him from the dead. And because of what Jesus did, I’m washed clean from my sin, and You give me a brand new life. Right now, I invite You into my life. Change me into what You want me to be. I’m ready, and I’m starting over today. Amen.”
