General FAQ + Overview - E&S Reclaimed Wood Tiles are 100% Green, 100% Reclaimed, and 100%

American Made in Fort Collins, Colorado. The Barnwood stock from which we make the product is sourced from barns that are 75-150 years old.

- There are currently 9 total patterns for Barnwood and 2 total patterns for Hardwood.

- All our tiles come mounted to a patented perforated vulcanized anti-fracture/crack-isolation membrane. This membrane backer allows the wood to expand and contract with all climates and seasons as needed. The perforations allow for maximum direct bond to the substrate.

- Ceramic Sealer. Each Tile is carefully saturated and coated with a special ceramic sealer that hardens up after manufacturing to protect the tile for easy cleaning, maintenance over time, and maximum durability.

Installation FAQ - Our tiles can be installed with Modified Thinset + Latex Additive or poly

construction adhesive (aka “liquid nails”). Can be installed directly over any surface that modified thinset or construction adhesive will bond to. No prep or demolition work required.

- E&S Wood Tiles are suitable for interior only. - Like wood flooring, please allow 5-7 days on the jobsite for the tiles to

acclimate to their new setting. Care & Cleaning FAQ

- Due to the ceramic coating, our tiles are easily cleanable with warm water, dish soap, and a damp cloth.

- Please do not use abrasive cleaning products as they may damage the ceramic finish.

- Our products arrive pre-sealed, therefore no further sealing or maintenance will be required once the product has been installed.

How Many Finishes Are there? - 3 Finishes: Natural (clear coat), Gunstock Brown, and White-wash - Custom Finishes Available for orders over 1x pallet (350sf) - There is a surcharge for the premium Gunstock Brown and White-wash

finishes, as well as custom-color finishes. - A Class-A fire-rating can be achieved for our tiles by specifying the Firez-Off

coating with your order. The upcharge for this special coating is $1/sf. This coating is recommended for commercial hospitality and restaurant projects as well as any other projects specifically requiring the Class-A specification.

What is the lead-time for my order?

- We keep stock on hand for smaller orders so typical lead times for orders under 1 pallet (350sf) is just 1 week. Please call for lead times on orders above 1 pallet.

Corners & Finished Ends

- Corners can be created in several ways: (1) Overlapped (for Plank Series) (2) Miter-cut (for horizontal patterns) (3) Wrapped (for Designer Patterns) (4) Fir Wood Strip or Schluter Strip (for Herringbone Patterns)

- Ends can be cut and left finished if desired, as 4oz touch-up kits will be provided with every 50sf of material. Special note: For orders under 10sf, touch up kits are a separate $15 charge.

- Wood trim or Schluter Strips are also a great option for finished ends.

Limitations for this product:

- No directly wet applications. While the product is splash-resistant and is a great product for bathrooms, we do not recommend it for direct exposure to water, or inside a shower well.

- No Exterior applications. - No Wood burning fireplaces. Electric Fireplaces Okay. Gas Fireplaces require

minimum safe distances from “hot zones.” Call us to verify the application over a particular fireplace.

- Special Note on Backsplashes: Some commercial-grade “Chefs Kitchen” gas stove tops as produced by premium stove top manufacturers such as Wolf, Blue Star, Thermodore, etc may require a minimum safe distance as determined by code. These commercial stove tops very often recommend if not require a stainless steel Back-Guard, however if you have a question about your specific range and the minimum safe distance, please call us at 1.888.573.5554
