To whom it may concern,

As a skilled engineering student who is presently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in aeronautical

engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, I am writing to request information about

possible summer employment opportunities within the Space Industry. I am interested in a

position that will allow me to combine the talents I have developed in both fluids and structures.

I am also very fascinated with autonomous control systems and propulsion, I have a strong

ability in Python programming language, and I always enjoy new challenges.

I feel that it is important that I maintain an innovative and ambitious demeanor with

consciousness to the seemingly impossible tasks of the future while developing my academic

abilities. I am proud to say that I love what I am studying; I am truly fascinated with the

progression of space exploration through advancing technologies. I believe that space

exploration can transcend what is thought to be possible through the developing computational

capabilities of the modern world. Multidisciplinary optimization and autonomous control are the

two things that excite me the most. I hope to be at the forefront of space exploration, trying to

achieve the perfect design of space vehicles for specific missions with cutting edge technology.

I wish to revolutionize space technology. Ever since I was a child I’ve been fascinated with the

possibility of exploring the frontier of space as well as living on other planets. I want to do

everything I can to make these goals a reality.

I welcome the opportunity to discuss how I may be of assistance in fulfilling the goals of the

Space Industry. I will be available for employment from May 23 through August 31, 2015.

Please let me know what summer employment opportunities are available for someone with my

education and interests. You can reach me at the above address or by phone at (703) 851-6842.

Thank you for your consideration.
