Main changes in GenConfig-2.5.2

New features

• MIB table export

- If the archive contains SNMP MIB information it can be exported into MIB table file, which is then imported into a SNMP manager. The SNMP manager is then able to resolve the OID tree for the particular controller and communicate with it using the SNMP protocol.

- This function is reserved for future use with IB-NT or Ix-NTC-BB with IB-COM-1.1. - This function does not relate to the GNOME SNMP converter (which has fixed MIB table,

available for download at www.comap.cz)

Bug fixes

• Cfg image (Modbus registers – Used)

- The modbus registers containing alarm information were not icluded in the exported list of used registers.

• Firmware upgrade from existing configuration

- The firmware upgrade from existing configuration (i.e. the combined function of firmware upgrade and configuration import) did not work in version 2.5.1.

• Analog output at IM-NT-BB

- It was not possible to configure analog output at the IM-NT-BB controller.

• Column width at I/O tab - In versions 2.5 and 2.5.1 it was possible to hide the columns at the I/O tab by dragging the

vertical splitter to the leftmost position of the tab. After that it was not possible to restore the columns again.

Main changes in GenConfig-2.5.1

New features

• Version of application

- The application version is displayed in the application title.

• Generating screens for DetCon20 - The screens for IV5 and IV8 that display DetCon20 binary values are created only with such a

number of visible bits which corresponds with number of configured cylinder sensors.

Bug fixes

• PLC Editor: copy/paste and undo problem

- Clipboard operations as well as undo operation in the PLC editor caused damage of the whole PLC drawing.

• IV5 screens generating

- The IV5 screens for analog input modules were generated in a form of digital values regardless of the adjustment in the module properties.

• Other minor bugs

- Several other minor bugs have been fixed.

Main changes in GenConfig-2.5

New features

• New firmwares, controllers and modules supported

- IG-NT-2.5 firmware - IS-NT-2.5 firmware - IG-NT-BB, IG-NTC-BB, IS-NTC-BB, IM-NT-BB controllers - IS-AIN8TC thermocouples module

• Renaming of “Remote switches” - At the tab “Miscellaneous” it is possible to rename the “Remote control” outputs. Their names

appear then in the window “Remote switches” in InteliMonitor as well as in the single line diagram in InteliMonitor.

• Translator: controller texts are marked

- Several groups of texts, which are listed in th translator tab, are displayed only in GenConfig and not on the controller display. In some cases it may be sufficient to translate only the “controller” texts and save time needed for the translation.

- The groups of texts used in the controller are marked with a small “controller” icon.

• Color scheme - The color scheme of the program has been changed to a fixed set of colors, independent on

windows colors setting. This will avoid occasional problems with visibility of some items.

• Sensor fail - The “Sensor fail” option in the analog input protection window can be selected independently

on the selected protection type/level. That means it is possible to configure analog input with a shutdown protection without sensor fail evaluation.

• Controller hardware modifications - There are new controller modifications: IG-NT-BB, IG-NTC-BB, IS-NTC-BB, IM-NT-BB, which

are compatible with IG-NT, IG-NTC, IS-NT and IM-NT. - There are one firmware for the group of IG-NT modifications, one for IS-NT modifications and

one for IM-NT. - However, the modifications within one group have slightly different features, e.g. IG-NTC-BB

does support Ethernet interface and the other controllers from the same group don’t. - To hide or show only relevant adjustment according to the target controller modification, we

have introduced changing the controller modification in GenConfig at the “Modules” tab. The section “Available modules” contain a list of compatible hardware modifications that can be inserted into the “configured modules” section.

- This feature works for controller firmware 2.5 (standard branch) and above. - You should select the hardware modification correct ly according to the target

controller.

• Binary outputs type change (HSS / LSS) - The type of the binary outputs (high side switches or low side switches) can be selected if the

currently used controller modification supports it. - Highlight the controller in the “configured modules” tree and then change the outputs type in

the “module properties” table below the tree.

• Intelivision-5 firmware/font programming - Use the menu “File” -> “Firmware upgrade and clonning” -> “Display GC font change” to

upgrade firmware and/or font in your InteliVision-5. Do not use the menu “"InteliVision FW upgrade" as it is intended for InteliVision-8 only.

Bug fixes

• Cfg image (Modbus registers – All)

- The file exported using the function Generate cfg image (Modbus registers – all) did not contain all registers. There was a gap of cca 50 registers at the position 43855

• PLC: import sheet from file

- If a sheet was imported from file the names of PLC outputs were assigned incorrectly. The function of such sheet was correct.

• Configuration import

- Importing a configuration, which had other than default power format setting, resulted in incorrect values of some setpoints and their limits in the target archive.

- Message texts of PLC blocks Force Prot were not imported. Default texts remained in the target archive instead.

• Using GenConfig with enlarged system fonts

- Some parts of the program were not displayed properly if it was running at operating system with system fonts adjusted to a nonstadard value (e.g. 125dpi).

- It might occur especially at Laptops with high resolution screen and relatively small screen size, where the users often adjust the system fonts to 125dpi as the standard fonts are very small.

Main changes in GenConfig-2.4.6

New features

• This version contains only several changes in the internal functions which do not affect the behavior from the external point of view.

Main changes in GenConfig-2.4.5

Version 2.4.5 was skipped.

Main changes in GenConfig-2.4.4

New features

• “Favorite place”

- The GenConfig home directory for archives has been added to the “favorite places” bar into the open/save archive dialog. This feature allows the user to return to the GenConfig “home” directory in a simply way.

• Drag and drop

- An archive can be opened by dragging the file and dropping it into the GenConfig window. There must not be opened any other archive in GenConfig at that moment.

• New peripherial modules

- DetCon20 and ECON-4 modules supported.

• Cylinder temperatures configuration wizard - The cylinder temperatures wizard has been changed. The requested protections (level 1

and/or level 2) are now configured only onto the value “Tcyl max” instead of configuring them individually onto each analog input. The “T cyl max” value is a controller value that is computed as maximum of all logical inputs “Cyl Temp x”. This method saves controller resources.

- If there is an archive in which the cylinder temperatures were configured by the wizard in GenConfig-2.4.3 or older and then the archive is opened in GenConfig-2.4.4 and the wizard is launched, the previously configured protections are removed and then replaced byone set of protections as described in previous paragraph.

- The wizard removes any other universal protection from the value “T cyl max”.

• Decimal resolution of setpoints in configuration im port - If a setpoint has different decimal resolution in the source and target archive, it’s value is

automatically recalculated. - Example: setpoint “VT ratio”, decimal resolution in the source archive is 1.0, in the target one

is 1.00. If the setting in the source archive is e.g. 6.3, then the setting after import will be now 6.30 instead of 0.63 as in previous versions of GenConfig.

Bug fixes

• Ocassional freezing of PLC editor

- It could very rarely happen that the PLC editor tab became empty (no PLC drawing was displayed) after several switching to different tabs. After restart of GenConfig and reopening the archive the PLC was then displayed normally.

• Negative constants at PLC blocks - If a negative constant (e.g. -1) is configured to an analog input of a PLC block, next time the

archive is opened and this PLC block properties window is displayed the constant is displayed as unsigned value, i.e. 65536 instead of -1. This bug concerns only displaying of the value in GenConfig, not the PLC function in the controller.

Main changes in GenConfig-2.4.3

New features

• Overwriting default archives

- Warning message is displayed when the user is attempting to overwite an archive in the default archives directory (...GenConfig\Archives\Default\ ) to avoid accidental overwriting of some a default archive. The default archives directory is not intended for storing of user archives, which are to be stored one directory level above (...GenConfig\Archives\ ).

Bug fixes

• “Stream read error”

- Stream read error message occured in version 2.4.2 while an archive without PLC module was beeing imported into another archive.

Main changes in GenConfig-2.4.2

New features

• IS-NT-FL-1.2 Support

- New types of PLC blocks PID Ana B and PID Bin

• Trial period for PLC Editor - The 30-days trial period for PLC Editor has been cancelled. The PLC editor is now available

without activation.

• PLC blocks tree menu

- The PLC blocks tree menu in the left part of the PLC tab is filtered to show only the PLC blocks that are supported by the particular firmware/archive.

Bug fixes

• PLC editor undo history

- Saving of the PLC editor undo history was accidentally switched off when the program had been terminated incorrectly.

Main changes in GenConfig-2.4.1

New features

• IGS-NT-2.4 Support

- New controller firmware v. 2.4 is now supported.

• Configuration of analog outputs - The method of configuration of analog outputs was changed from the firmware version 2.4. - The output characteristic is now defined by two couples of points [X1, Y1] and [X2, Y2]. This

allows to configure any kind of linear characteristic. - Example 1: Generator voltage 0-250V as current output 4-20mA. Adjust X1=0, X2=250,

Y1=2000 Y2=10000. - Example 2: Generator power 50-500kW as voltage output 2.5-7.5V. Adjust X1=-50, X2=500,

Y1=2500 Y2=7500. - Example 3: Speed request 0.0-100.0% as TSC1 requested speed 1200-1550RPM. Adjust

X1=0.0, X2=100.0, Y1=1200 Y2=1550.

Bug fixes

• Legacy PLC editor

- The legacy PLC editor is not functional in the version 2.4.

• PLC editor in basic mode - The new PLC editor was visible also in basic mode in the version 2.4

• Handling of keyboard shortcuts - The keyboard shortcuts as e.g. DEL key were received by the new PLC editor even if the PLC

editor tab was not active. This bug might cause e.g. accidental deleting of a PLC block when the DEL key was pressed e.g. during editing of a binary input name at the I/O tab.

• ECU analog outputs

- It was not possible to configure any controller source value onto some ECU analog outputs as e.g. Speed demand switch or Speed demand analog for the MTU ADEC engine.

• PLC editor vs. configuration import

- If the configuration import was cancelled, the PLC editor was not functioning properly after first clicking to the PLC editor tab.

- If the target archive already contained a PLC drawing, the program generated “List index out of bounds” message and did not import the PLC from the source archive correctly.

• PLC editor activation – computer serial number - The PC serial number was not displayed in the “About” window if the windows system font

size was set to different than standard size (96dpi).

• “Stream read error” message - If the trial period of the PLC Editor was expired and the user opened an archive with a PLC

program created by PLC editor, the program issued “Stream read error” message when the PLC Editor tab was activated.

• “Access violation” message during configuration imp ort

- “Access violation” occured during the import of the configuration if the source archive contained a protection without any protection type assigned. Such archive could be created by configuration import in GenConfig-2.3.4 or older.

• Exhaust temperature configuration wizard - A wizard for easier configuration of cylinder temperature inputs was added. - It makes easy to configure measurement and 2-level protection with common setpoints for up

to 32 cylinder temperature sensors. - Go to the I/O tab, then select the analog input where the first cylinder is connected and press

the icon with thermocouple symbol to start the wizard.

• Last saved archives - A new menu item File -> Recently saved archives was added. This menu provides fast

access to the archives that were saved to disk recently.

• Pulse counter rename - The tab Power formats was renamed to Miscellaneous and new edit boxes for renaming of the

“Pulse counter” values were addred to this tab.

• ECU value as constant - If a constant is sent to a ECU value, GenConfig indicates it and does not allow to configure

any source for such output.

• Controller HW info - The items in the Controller/Archive info window were extended to provide full information

about the controller hardware.

• Universal protections of the same type at one value - It is possible to configure more than one universal protections of the same type at one analog

value. However the protections must be different in at least one setpoint. I.e. it is possible to create a protection with progressive delay using 2 or more protections of the same type with different level and delay.

Bug fixes

• Progress bar

- The progress bar at the bottom of the main window did not work properly.

• History capacity estimation - The estimation of the capacity (number of records) in the history configuration window did not

work correctly with default IG-NT archives.

• Error saving archive - Rare problems with saving the archive were fixed.

• Missing index files

- Access violation could occur when working with an archive of a firmware version which was not present (imported) in GenConfig, i.e. the appropriate index file was missing.

• Resolution mismatch in CRV files

- If a CRV file was open and the primary resolution in the file was different than the resolution required by GenConfig for the particular analog input, the sensor points from the file were not read correctly.

• Grid cells size

- The grid cells at some places were resized so that the texts fit there and do not overflow.
