Zero Period Schedule
What does a typical 7th grade schedule look like?
You will have a class schedule that consists of 6 courses in the following subject areas:
1. English2. Math3. World History4. Science 75. Physical Education6. Year-long Elective
English and Math
*Our college prep English 7 and Integrated Math A courses provide a very rigorous academic environment which prepare students for college prep courses through high school. College Prep classes provide a strong, grade level curriculum that meets the needs of the majority of students.
*Honors classes are designed for students who excel in English Language Arts and/or math and require a faster-paced, more in-depth and challenging course of study.
Math Diagnostic Testing Project (MDTP):
*This assessment will help determine what math level is most appropriate for you.
*Take it seriously and commit to doing your best effort.
*Beginning Engineers

Spanish 1
A High School level, College Preparatory Course.
A World language is not required for graduation from high school, however it is a College entrance requirement.
Your choice of world language for grade 7 is Spanish 1
If you would like to study French, you must wait until 8th grade
In 9th grade, additional choices of Chinese, Japanese and American Sign
Language may be available

Independent Study Physical Education (I.S.P.E.)While our primary recommendation is that all students participate in
the district physical education program, we do offer an independent study physical education program for:
*(1) individualized sports only (no team sports).
*(2) students are accepted on a case by case basis and must apply online.
*(3) music students may take ISPE as a 7th class and choose a second elective.
Note: ISPE requires an on-line application. Please see the district website for enrollment window. You may not enroll at the semester. No exceptions.
