Having a simple backdrop sup-port system and a few muslin backdrops (available in many colours) can turn your classroom into a professional looking studio in minutes with it’s simple setup. A camera mounted flash is a great tool both in and out of the studio. If you’re on a budget, you can use it as a studio light with the right modifiers. With a system like Godox you can even use sev-eral different flash units together to produce studio style lighting affects while maintaining the por-tability of a small flash.

Using a flash on its own creates a really harsh light. But if you add some simple and affordable mod-ifiers you can transform them into soft, beautiful lights that can be bounced or used direct to achieve more professional results.

A great intermediate camera like a Nikon D5600 with a zoom lens is a super versatile tool. You’ll be able to shoot everything from wide angle shots to close-up por-traits. Bonus points for also func-tioning as a great full HD 1080 at 60p video camera for capturing school productions.

A solid and dependable tripod is essential for your schools setup. You don’t have to worry about low light camera shake at school events, and if you get the vid-eo head version it works great for panning around a scene for when your students are recording school performances or sports.
