Chamfering after single-cut machining
The great advantage of the LC 180 gear hobbing machine with the new se-parate Chamfer Cut unit is the simulta-neous chamfer in a second machining position – two machines in one, so to speak. The LC 180 DC combines high chamfer quality with single-cut machi-ning. This method, which has been es-tablished for many years, is based on tried and proven machine technology and has now been opened up by Lie-bherr for new applications. After gear hobbing in the customary single-cut strategy, additional precise and repea-table chamfers are created with the ap-propriate chamfer cutter, and that with maximum economied performance.

Flexibility due to new workpiece clampingThe separate Chamfer Cut unit in the 90° position of the ringloader offers the great advantage that workpiece can be simultaneously chamfered while another part is hobbed. It is possible to chamfer into the flank or out of the flank. Moreover, modifications to the flank corrections are possible using the control system.

Safe and convenient set-up of processesIn the future, the touch-based machine control panel LHGe@rTec has digital data import whereby the import of digital tool datasheets according to DIN 4000 makes possi-ble very high operating safety as the tool is displayed on the screen.
In addition to process monitoring and support during the set-up procedure, the LHGe@rTec user interface also includes the function to define bad tool sectors in the case of worn tools and thus max. out the service life of the tool.
Another benefit is the standardized interfaces which offer Liebherr solutions both for MTConnect and for OPC Unified Architecture and also make possible data transmissions via a Profinet or Profibus coupler.
Automation solutionDifferent automation options are available for Liebherr gear cutting machines. We have the right automation system for your individual requirements. Besides numerous different conveyor systems, e.g. plastic chain conveyors, drag frame
