Airway and Anesthesia Devices are single use devices used in conjunction with the anesthesia

Tracheostomy tubes are used to maintain an effective airway and help a patient breathe. The

surgical procedure of inserting a tracheostomy tube into a patient's windpipe is called a

Anesthesia Circuits

An anesthesia circuit is an interface between an anesthesia machine and a patient and is used to

deliver anesthesia to the patient. A typical circuit comprises of reservoir, rebreathing bags,

Disposable Laryngoscope Blades

These are single use blades which help to prevent cross infection. These are available in several

sizes for adult and paediatric use and in several designs of curved or angular flange. Usually

conventional lamp or a fiberoptic system is provided for illumination; however, blades without

collapsing during expiration. PEEP valves are generally used along with manual resuscitators,

ventilators, anesthesia machines and CPAP systems. One unit is one PEEP valve.

Resuscitators

A resuscitator is a respiratory management device, which uses positive pressure to inflate the

lungs of an unconscious person who is not breathing, in order to keep him oxygenated and alive.

14.1.1.7 Respiratory Measurement Devices

This category includes devices that are used to measure pressure, flow and volume in a patient's

airway and lungs. The category also covers devices used to measure oxygen saturation in the

Capnograph

Capnography devices monitor and record the carbon dioxide concentration in exhaled respiratory

gases by analysing the extent of Infrared absorption. Capnographs include monitors and sensors.

The pulse oximeter system is a photoelectric instrument for measuring the oxygen saturation of
