It features easy-to-use keys for instant control of the devices. For best results, please read and perform all instructions listed here, and keep this guide for future reference. Battery Installation and Information GDCT-800 Universal Remote require two AAA Batteries. To install the batteries 1. Remove the battery cover. 2. Insert the batteries, matching the batteries to the (+) and (-) marks inside the battery compartment. 3. Press and push the battery cover back into the place. Note: Reprogramming may be required after batteries are replaced. Features and Functions Please use the remote control’s mode keys (i.e, AUDIO, TV, or Cable) to control a specific device. When pressed, the selected mode key will light to confirm your choice Use the other keys to perform desired actions (see the following key chart). Key Charts Programming Device Initial Setting The default setting of GDCT-800 Universal Remote from factory is - Device Default: CBL - Model Default: TV: LG 000 CBL: MOTOROLA 000 DVD/VCR: AIWA 000 AUDIO: AKAI 000 To control devices other than the default brands, please program your remote by performing the following Setting Methods: SEARCHING MODE 1. Turn off the device you will control. 2. Press the DEVICE key you will use for over 3 seconds till the LED light up. 3. Press POWER key to enter searching mode. 4. Point the device you will control, press POWER key again to search the code onwards one by one to locate the correct code. Once the device turn on (means you get the correct code), press OK to confirm the setting. Note: If not keys pressed in 20 seconds, the LED will light off to exit the setting mode. Your Favorite For future reference, please write down each working devices code in the following boxes: Programming Master Power on/off Your GDCT-800 built with master power on/off function, you can turn on or off your CBL/TV at the same by programming: To active CBL/TV Power on/off: 1. Press & hold device key “CBL”, till the LED light up. 2. Input digital number “9 - 9 -5” in turn, the LED will flash one time while every number input. 3. The LED will flash slowly 2 times to indicate setting successfully. To Clear Master Power on/off: To repeat the above 3 steps to cancel Master Power on/off activities. Note: Master Power on/off only works in the CBL mode. If it is not programmed, only the cable converter will turn on or off. In any other mode, press Power once will turn the selected device on or off. Selecting of Device Press the device key you want to control directly & LED flash one time to indicate the right device you have chosen. (Note: please press the device & release quickly to enter the device working condition. Do not press the key long time which would go into setting mode.) SETTING MODE CODE MANUAL SETTING 1. Press the DEVICE key you will use for over 3 seconds till the LED light up. 2. Input the 3 digital numbers you choose from the code list, the LED will flash one time if one correct digital number you input. 3. Inputting code correctly, the LED will light up. Then press key “OK”, the LED light off after it flash 2 times & correct code is on memory. If wrong code inputted, the LED will light off directly & then light up again to indicate the user to re-input codes. Note: If not keys pressed in 20 seconds, the LED will light off to exit the setting mode. CODE INQUIRY SETTING 1. Press the DEVICE key you will use for over 3 seconds till the LED light up. 2. Press INFO key, the LED will flash one time, then press number key “1, 2, 3” one by one. While press “1”, the time the LED flashed indicates the 1 st digital number of the code. While press “2”, the time the LED flashed 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 24 LIVE TV MUTE LAST AUDIO DVD/VCR TV CABLE HELP EXIT INFO OK GUIDE Press TV, Cable, Audio or DVD/VCR to select and control a device Turn on/off the selected device Press Mute once to turn sound off or on Return to last selected channel Display live television programming Exit any on-screen display (OSD) and return to regular viewing Display channel and program information Access the cable guide MENU Access any OSD for the currently selected device Move the cursor in the program guide and menu screens Display the help screen indicates the 2 nd digital number of the code. While press “3”, the time the LED flashed indicates the 3 rd digital number of the code. If the LED does not flash, that means the digital number is 0. Please write down the numbers correctly. 3. Press Ok to confirm after getting the 3 digital numbers. Note: If not keys pressed in 20 seconds, the LED will light off to exit the setting mode. Programming CH+/- Lock The CHANNEL Lock function allow you always to control Channel up/down for Cable regardless under which device currently performing. Programming VOL+/- , Mute Lock The VOL/MUTE Lock function allow you always to control Volume up/down & Mute for TV regardless under which device currently performing. Lock the Volume and Mute 1. Press & hold any device key till the LED light up. 2. Input digital number “9 – 9 -3” in turn, and then press “V+” to lock. 3. The LED will flash slowly 2 times to indicate setting successfully. Unlock the Volume and Mute 1. Press & hold any device key till the LED light up. 2. Input digital number “9 – 9 -3” in turn, and then press “V-” to lock.The LED will flash slowly 2 times to indicate setting successfully. Lock the Channel 1. Press & hold any of device key till the LED light up. 2. Input digital number “9 – 7 -3” in turn, and then press “CH+” to lock. 3. The LED will flash slowly 2 times to indicate setting successfully. Unlock the Channle 1. Press & hold any device key till the LED light up. 2. Input digital number “9 – 7 -3” in turn, and then press “CH-” to lock 3. The LED will flash slowly 2 times to indicate setting successfully. Programming the Macro Key The GDCT-800 Universal Remote Control includes a yellow macro key labeled DIY (located on the bottom left corner of the remote) This DIY key allows users to set up macros to activate desired keys in a specific order. For Example, you can set up a macro key to change channels on your TV, adjust the volume, and use your DVD all with the touch of one key. 1. Press any key on the device until the LED lights up & then release the button. 2. Press “DIY” button, the LED will flash one time & light up. 3. Press the device button you desire to set for Macro, the LED will flash one time & light up. Then press the function button you want to set, the LED will flash one time & light up. 4. Repeat step 1-3 to program additional keys. You can program up to 15 key presses into one macro. 5. Press “DIY” button to save programming, the LED will light off to exit Macro program. Deleting Macro Programming If you want to change the macros stored in a previous program macro. 1) Press any key on the device until the LED lights up & then release the button. 2) Press “DIY” button, the LED will flash one time & light up. 3) Press “DIY” button again, the LED will light off & delete all setting of your last programming of Macro. Code Memory Lock Your GDCT-800 is designed to build with E-square IC, which can store your selected Setting Code forever automatically regardless memory loss of codes. Características y funciones Use los botones de selección (ej. AUDIO, TV o Cable) para controlar cada equipo especifico. Una vez presionada, la tecla de selección se alumbrará para confirmar su elección. Use las otras teclas para realizar su comando deseado ( Ver selección de claves). Nota: Si no presiona el código de la lista en 20 segundos después de presionar el DISPOSITIVO que va a utilizar, se saldrá del modo de configuración automáticamente y la iluminación LED se apagara. Inquisición de código 1. Presione la tecla del DISPOSITIVO que va a utilizar por tres segundos hasta que el LED se ilumine. 2. Presione la tecla ‘INFO’, el LED se iluminara una vez. 3. Presione el numero 1 y deje de presionarlo, cuente el tiempo que el LED se ilumina; y será el numero del 1er. digito del código. 4. Presione el numero 2 y deje de presionarlo, cuente el tiempo que el LED se ilumina; y será el numero del 2do. digito del código. 5. Presione el numero 3 y deje de presionarlo, cuente el tiempo que el LED se ilumina; y será el numero del 3er digito del código. 6. Si el LED no se ilumina el digito es 0. Por favor escriba el código correctamente. 7. Presione OK para confirmar después de haber obtenido los tres números digitales del código. Nota: Si no presiona el código de la lista en 20 segundos después de presionar el DISPOSITIVO que va a utilizar, se saldrá del modo de configuración automáticamente y la iluminación LED se apagara. Modo de búsqueda 1. Apague el dispositivo que quiera controlar. 2. Presione la tecla del DISPOSITIVO que va a utilizar por tres segundos hasta que el LED se ilumine. 3. Presione la tecla POWER para entrar en modo de búsqueda. 4. Apunte el control al dispositivo que quiera controlar, presione POWER otra vez para buscar el código correcto. En cuanto se prenda el dispositivo (ha encontrado el código), presione OK para confirmar la configuración. Nota: Si no presiona el código de la lista en 20 segundos después de presionar el DISPOSITIVO que va a utilizar, se saldrá del modo de configuración automáticamente y la iluminación LED se apagara. FAVORITOS Para referencia en el futuro , anote cada codigo funcionable de su dispositivos en las siguientes casillas: Programación de VOL+/-, Bloqueo de Silencio (Mute) La función de VOL/MUTE le permitirá siempre el control de Volumen arriba/abajo para la televisión a pesar del dispositivo que actualmente este utilizando. Bloqueo de Volumen y Silencio (Mute): 1. Presione la tecla de cualquier dispositivo hasta que el LED se ilumine. 2. Presione los tres números digitales "9-9-3", y después presione "V+" para bloquear. 3. Al terminar el código, la iluminación LED se apagara después de dos iluminaciones indicando que el código estuvo correcto. Desbloqueo de Volumen y Silencio (Mute): 1. OverviewGDCT-800 universal remote control will control up to 4 home entertainment devices, you can program your Universal Remote to operate most of models of most brands of infrared remote-controlled device in the world. It features easy-to-use keys for instant control of the devices. For best results, please read and perform all instructions listed here, and keep this guide for future reference.

Battery Installation and InformationGDCT-800 Universal Remote require two AAA Batteries. To install the batteries

1. Remove the battery cover. 2. Insert the batteries, matching the batteries to the (+) and (-) marks inside the battery compartment.3. Press and push the battery cover back into the place.

Note: Reprogramming may be required after batteries are replaced.

Features and FunctionsPlease use the remote control’s mode keys (i.e, AUDIO, TV, or Cable) to control a specific device. When pressed, the selected mode key will light to confirm your choice Use the other keys to perform desired actions (see the following key chart).

To control devices other than the default brands, please program your remote by performing the following Setting Methods:

SEARCHING MODE1. Turn off the device you will control.2. Press the DEVICE key you will use for over 3 seconds till the LED light up.3. Press POWER key to enter searching mode.4. Point the device you will control, press POWER key again to search the code onwards one by one to locate the correct code. Once the device turn on (means you get the correct code), press OK to confirm the setting.

Note: If not keys pressed in 20 seconds, the LED will light off to exit the setting mode.

Programming Master Power on/offYour GDCT-800 built with master power on/off function, you can turn on or off your CBL/TV at the same by programming:To active CBL/TV Power on/off: 1. Press & hold device key “CBL”, till the LED light up.2. Input digital number “9 - 9 -5” in turn, the LED will flash one time while every number input.3. The LED will flash slowly 2 times to indicate setting successfully.

To Clear Master Power on/off: To repeat the above 3 steps to cancel Master Power on/off activities.

Note: Master Power on/off only works in the CBL mode. If it is not programmed, only the cable converter will turn on or off. In any other mode, press Power once will turn the selected device on or off.

Selecting of DevicePress the device key you want to control directly & LED flash one time to indicate the right device you have chosen. (Note: please press the device & release quickly to enter the device working condition. Do not press the key long time which would go into setting mode.)

SETTING MODECODE MANUAL SETTING1. Press the DEVICE key you will use for over 3 seconds till the LED light up.2. Input the 3 digital numbers you choose from the code list, the LED will flash one time if one correct digital number you input.3. Inputting code correctly, the LED will light up. Then press key “OK”, the LED light off after it flash 2 times & correct code is on memory. If wrong code inputted, the LED will light off directly & then light up again to indicate the user to re-input codes.

Note: If not keys pressed in 20 seconds, the LED will light off to exit the setting mode.

CODE INQUIRY SETTING1. Press the DEVICE key you will use for over 3 seconds till the LED light up.2. Press INFO key, the LED will flash one time, then press number key “1, 2, 3” one by one. While press “1”, the time the LED flashed indicates the 1st digital number of the code. While press “2”, the time the LED flashed

indicates the 2nd digital number of the code. While press “3”, the time the LED flashed indicates the 3rd digital number of the code. If the LED does not flash, that means the digital number is 0. Please write down the numbers correctly. 3. Press Ok to confirm after getting the 3 digital numbers.

Note: If not keys pressed in 20 seconds, the LED will light off to exit the setting mode.

Programming CH+/- LockThe CHANNEL Lock function allow you always to control Channel up/down for Cable regardless under which device currently performing.

Programming VOL+/- , Mute LockThe VOL/MUTE Lock function allow you always to control Volume up/down & Mute for TV regardless under which device currently performing.

Lock the Volume and Mute1. Press & hold any device key till the LED light up.2. Input digital number “9 – 9 -3” in turn, and then press “V+” to lock.3. The LED will flash slowly 2 times to indicate setting successfully.

Unlock the Volume and Mute1. Press & hold any device key till the LED light up.2. Input digital number “9 – 9 -3” in turn, and then press “V-” to lock.The LED will flash slowly 2 times to indicate setting successfully.

Lock the Channel1. Press & hold any of device key till the LED light up.2. Input digital number “9 – 7 -3” in turn, and then press “CH+” to lock.3. The LED will flash slowly 2 times to indicate setting successfully.

Unlock the Channle1. Press & hold any device key till the LED light up.2. Input digital number “9 – 7 -3” in turn, and then press “CH-” to lock3. The LED will flash slowly 2 times to indicate setting successfully.

Programming the Macro KeyThe GDCT-800 Universal Remote Control includes a yellow macro key labeled DIY (located on the bottom left corner of the remote) This DIY key allows users to set up macros to activate desired keys in a specific order. For Example, you can set up a macro key to change channels on your TV, adjust the volume, and use your DVD all with the touch of one key. 1. Press any key on the device until the LED lights up & then release the button.2. Press “DIY” button, the LED will flash one time & light up.3. Press the device button you desire to set for Macro, the LED will flash one time & light up. Then press the function button you want to set, the LED will flash one time & light up.4. Repeat step 1-3 to program additional keys. You can program up to 15 key presses into one macro. 5. Press “DIY” button to save programming, the LED will light off to exit Macro program.

Deleting Macro ProgrammingIf you want to change the macros stored in a previous program macro.

1) Press any key on the device until the LED lights up & then release the button.2) Press “DIY” button, the LED will flash one time & light up.3) Press “DIY” button again, the LED will light off & delete all setting of your last programming of Macro.

Code Memory LockYour GDCT-800 is designed to build with E-square IC, which can store your selected Setting Code forever automatically regardless memory loss of codes.

Características y funcionesUse los botones de selección (ej. AUDIO, TV o Cable) para controlar cada equipo especifico. Una vez presionada, la tecla de selección se alumbrará para confirmar su elección. Use las otras teclas para realizar su comando deseado ( Ver selección de claves).

Nota: Si no presiona el código de la lista en 20 segundos después de presionar el DISPOSITIVO que va a utilizar, se saldrá del modo de configuración automáticamente y la iluminación LED se apagara.

Inquisición de código1. Presione la tecla del DISPOSITIVO que va a utilizar por tres segundos hasta que el LED se ilumine.2. Presione la tecla ‘INFO’, el LED se iluminara una vez.3. Presione el numero 1 y deje de presionarlo, cuente el tiempo que el LED se ilumina; y será el numero del 1er. digito del código.4. Presione el numero 2 y deje de presionarlo, cuente el tiempo que el LED se ilumina; y será el numero del 2do. digito del código.5. Presione el numero 3 y deje de presionarlo, cuente el tiempo que el LED se ilumina; y será el numero del 3er digito del código.6. Si el LED no se ilumina el digito es 0. Por favor escriba el código correctamente.7. Presione OK para confirmar después de haber obtenido los tres números digitales del código.

Modo de búsqueda1. Apague el dispositivo que quiera controlar.2. Presione la tecla del DISPOSITIVO que va a utilizar por tres segundos hasta que el LED se ilumine.3. Presione la tecla POWER para entrar en modo de búsqueda. 4. Apunte el control al dispositivo que quiera controlar, presione POWER otra vez para buscar el código correcto. En cuanto se prenda el dispositivo (ha encontrado el código), presione OK para confirmar la configuración.

Nota: Si no presiona el código de la lista en 20 segundos después de presionar el DISPOSITIVO que va a utilizar, se saldrá del modo de configuración automáticamente y la iluminación LED se apagara.
