There will be a Disc Golf Food Drive tournament for the Greeley County Food Pantry, with check-in from 12:30 MT to 1:30 MT, and the round starting at 1:45 p.m. MT. Entry fee is $10, Mulligans $1.00 or one nonperishable food item donated. This tournament is open to all ages. There will be loaner discs for those that don’t have any. Disc Golf Food Pantry Drive planned for Nov. 27 After the snow at the end of October, the weather in Greeley County for the first 11 days of November has been mild and dry. The Tribune weather station did not report any measurable precipitation for the past week. The temperature did drop on Sunday night and there was some snow falling on Monday morning. For the first 11 days of November the station has not reported any precipitation. The normal for the month of November is 0.55 inches. For the year-to-date the station has received 18.53 inches of precipitation, which is still 1.48 inches above the normal of 17.05 inches. The National Weather Service precipitation maps for the past 7 days did not show any precipitation in Greeley County. Most reports are that the majority of the corn and milo have been cut, but there are still some fields that haven’t been harvested. The high temperatures for the past week rose from a high of 54º on Nov. 4 to a high of 74º on Saturday, Nov. 9. The projected high for Monday, Nov. 11 after a cold front moved through was below freezing. The low for the week at the station was 12º on Monday night. The average soil temperatures for the past week in Greeley County were 46º on Nov. 5, 6, and 7, 44º on Nov. 8, 46º on Nov. 9, 48º on Nov. 10, and 47º on Nov. 11. The average wind speed for the past week was 5.3 mph with a high of 28.3 on Wednesday, Nov. 6.
