Business Scenario

A client has an existing BOE XI 3.1 deployment using .NET InfoView. Currently they

have Xcelsius SWF files loaded into their SharePoint 2007 Document Library, but

they rely on QaaWS to pull in live data. However, each time an end-user hits the

page containing these dashboards, they are prompted to enter a username and

password. How can the credentials pass through without the use of a custom SDK?

What are Web Parts?

A web part is an ASP.NET server control which is added to a

Web Part Zone on Web Part Pges by users at run time. Web

Parts are an integrated set of controls for creating Web sites

that enable end users to modify the content, appearance, and

behavior of Web pages directly from a browser.

2009 SAP BusinessObjects User Conference 9

Basically, Web Parts are Microsoft’s version of Web Widgets.
