F: Tonight we honor another plaque in history made. A: Since the birth of The Saint Mary’s University College of Law in the year 1996, it has succeeded in its mission to dedicate itself to provide quality legal education directed towards the empowerment of, and the inculcation of social awareness to every individual; the sustainable development of the community in which he lives; and the political, social and moral enlightenment of the Filipino nation amidst this fast- paced world. F: Fast forward to 2014,  with 64 lawyers and counting, and in its 18 years of unfaltering excellence and distinction, the College of Law of Saint Mary’s University continues to prosper and maintain its promise of producing Marian lawyers lawyers that consistently exude the purpose and aspirations of the College. A: Tonight is also a night dedicated to the new Marian Lawyers. Truly, to be able to hurdle the bar is both a fulfilling and humbling experience; to conquer what many people aspire, to achieve what only a few can reach and to be where they were always meant to be. F: The enthusiasm of entering law school; the personal frustrations conveyed by disastrous recitations; the small pleasure carried by an exam passed; the satisfying feeling of marching with flying colors; the restless nights of preparing for the Bar Exams; the anxiety of waiting for its results; and the tears of happiness when finally names will be preceded by the letters A.T.T.Y. A: So tonight, let us commemorate our tradition of excellence of the College of Law and celebrate the humble success of our new Marian Lawyers, as we welcome you to the annual F & A:Testimonial Dinner.

F:  Now, to formally start our celebration, let us welcome the Saint Mary’s University

Chorale Society for the invocation.

(CHORALE INVOCATION)

A: May we remain standing for the entrance of colors by the SMU ROTC and singing of

the National Anthem also by the Chorale society.

(NATIONAL ANTHEM)

F: Without much ado, let us welcome an alumnus of the College of Law to give us our

opening remarks. A proud Marian lawyer living up the tradition of excellence. Let us

welcome with a round of applause, Atty. Neil Anthony L. Sugue, CPA.

(OPENING REMARKS)

Once again, may we offer our appreciation to Atty. Sugue with a warm applause.

A: To lighten the very formal mood of our event, let us welcome our freshmen students

in their intermission number. Let us all lend our ears to our first year law students.

F: Ladies and gentlemen, this is the moment we have all been waiting for, the

testimonies of our new Marian lawyers.

A: To be administered by the dean of the College of Law, Atty. Marie Joy Payumo-

Salgado.
