/e all know that most children watch too much
T0 but trying to control this has always been
di$$icult. "ome &arents are more rela,ed thanothers about the &rogrammes their children watch
and $or how long0 but usually they can switch o$$
the T when they want to. 1owever0 the &roblem
is much bigger when children have a T in their
own bedrooms+
In this case0 &arents dont know when their
childrens T is on and what theyre watching. In
most countries0 the T com&anies are 'uite
res&onsible about what sort o$ &rogrammes they
broadcast when children are watching. !ut these
rules dont a&&ly i$ a child is watching alone a$ter
his6her bedtime.7 survey in the "7 $ound that more than hal$
o$ all children (in some age grou&s this increases

these children need more e,ercise and have more
health &roblems com&ared to children who dont.

child0 but it is &ossible to control the time s&ent
watching. There is a gadget you can buy and you&rogramme it with the number o$ hours a week a
