The Hospital was built in 1909 and until 1913 was known as the Hospital for Consumptives. From 1914 to 1957 it was known as the Waterfall State Sanatorium for Tuberculosis,, then became a Centre for the Aged..

Burial or Cremation dates are taken from previous Headstone Transcriptions by Mrs M. E. Bailey in October, 1981, Mr. Don Bailey of Helensburgh, a compilation by Carol and John Herben in May 2000 and a compilation and the adding of some funerals of persons who were not buried in Garrawarra General Cemetery, Waterfall by Max Negel in July, 2006
