TORCH HIKE SERIES DECEMBER 12Explore the beautiful mountains of Garmisch and Oberammergau. Let us guide you to some of the lesser-known secret gems of the area. We hike to a rustic mountain hut where you can enjoy dinner and refreshments; and then, we light our torches and hike back down. Price: $15 adult, $10 child.

BRESSANONE CHRISTMAS MARKETDECEMBER 13The Christmas market is one of the five original Christmas markets of the Alto Adige region in Italy. The typical wooden huts, decorations, Christmas treats and vin brule’, and Christmas songs give this market its special ambience. Located in the Piazza del Duomo. One of the highlights is the Christmas crib exhibition, which dates back to 800 years, in the Palazzo Vescovile (Hofburg) of Bressanone. Price: $45 adult, $30 child. Children under 3 are free. Passport required.

BEETHOVEN BEETHOVEN CONCERT IN THE MUNICH NATIONALTHEATERDECEMBER 26It has become a tradition in Europe to celebrate the New Year with a grand performance of Beethoven’s last symphony. If you saw the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989, then as soon as it was possible you saw Leonard Bernstein conducting the 9th right there. This year we will celebrate New Year’s a few days early at the Munich Nationaltheater. Price: $20 per adult for guide and transportation. Ticket: TBD.

ALICE IN WONDERLAND FILM WITH LIVE CONCERTDECEMBER 27Come experience a blockbuster cinema with a live kick! Tim Burton’s 2010 cinema hit “Alice in Wonderland” starring Johnny Depp and Anne Hathaway, will be on the big screen with all music performed live by the brilliantly mastered Sound of Hollywood Orchestra. The Alice in Wonderland soundtrack, written by Danny Elfman, was nominated for multiple Oscar Awards. It’s a Christmas gift for the whole Family! Price: $20 per adult, $10 per child; Ticket: TBD.
