Deadline: Friday, March 4th Info packets went home last week! The cards cost $10, with $5 going directly to our PTA. The Slice The Price card will allow you to get a large pizza every time you buy a large pizza—no limits or exclusions! The card is good from the time of purchase until 12/31/16. This is a great item if you’re a coach of your child’s sports team or for pool parties over the summer! The fundraiser lasts just one more week, be sure to order yours soon ! Our GHES 5th Graders will tour Sutton 6th Grade Campus on March 15th… It will be a fun field trip for our rising 6th Graders! Also, mark your calendars for the “We Are Sutton!“ event for students and parents on MAY 4th. Administrators, teachers, and a few current parents and students will be there to share information on every- thing from when to expect class schedules to tips for a successful transition to middle school! Thank you to Marco’s Pizza for hosting our February Brown Bag Lunch… Marco’s provided a delicious compli- mentary lunch of delicious pizza, salads and dessert, and a chance for parents to catch up and get to know each other! MORNING MILE: Thank you to Keith Woodbury, Coach Johnson, the GHES Wellness Ambassadors, Tracy Benham, Rená Daniel, An- drea Cutshaw, Steve Carhart, Katerina Williams, and all parents who came in to help. It’s off to a great start! LION DANCE: Before the Winter Break, the students were treated to a special Chinese tradition called the Lion Dance, believed to bring good luck in the New Year. A special thank you to Ms. Thai’s nephews, Son Lam and Thamh Bui! They put on an amazing performance, and the lion costume was dazzling...look for pictures on our website and in a GH Gab email. As always, we’d also like to thank those who helped out this week on the spur of the moment! It takes a village... 27th Annual Evening in the Garden tickets go on sale Tuesday, March 1st! Join us for this festive, fun-filled night with delicious food, wonderful wines, silent and live auctions, and dancing on APRIL 16, 2016!
