Checking Lineups:
Junior R-2’s will not check line-ups prior to each set.
Instead at the beginning of each set when the teams take the floor, the R-2 will ask each coach to verify their lineup.
When the coach acknowledges s/he has, the
second referee will then indicate the captain
and authorize the Libero entry.

Checking Lineups:
When both coaches have acknowledged that their lineups are correct, and the Libero entries have been authorized, the R-2 will give the ready signal.

Checking Lineups:
The Second Referee will use the lineup sheets only to determine the floor captains.
Scorers should still check the players
on the court to verify the players on

have recorded.
Checking Lineups:
the floor in their correct position at
the beginning of each set is ultimately
the Coach’s responsibility (as it has
always been).
Sporting conduct:
Officials have been instructed to sanction with a PENALTY (red card) immediately if a coach is heard to swear or abusively raise their voice at them, a player, a spectator, or a work team member.
All sanctions will be reported to the Junior Competition Director.

Sporting Conduct:
If a spectator becomes abusive toward an official, a player, or work team member, and it can’t stop it with more than a look or the simple command “stop” by the official:
The team captain(s) will be called to the ladder and asked to have their coach address the behavior.
If that does not work, play will be stopped, the teams sent to the end line, the official will approach the coach of the apparent offending team and ask him/her to address the behavior and explain that the next step will be forfeiture/default of the match.
The Site Director will be notified at this time.
If another stoppage becomes necessary, a forfeit/default will be declared.
