While you will see changes this year in the spring set, Garden/Outdoor Décor is focusing on these main initiatives:

1. THE GREENHOUSE - Everyday Greenery will be moving to gondola in the mall that previously held lighting.

2. OUTDOOR LIGHTING - All outdoor lighting will move inline to create a cohesive shop of string lights, solar pathway, citro and torches, and core lanterns.

3. GARDEN THEMES -Theme was bought to percent of sales, meaning certain looks that did very well last year were given more space this year. Sweet Nothings, Farmhouse, and nautical looks will receive more space than other themes.

Remember to Update Signs:• Patio & Garden Kits will arrive from the DC by January 1st. Detailed Installation instructions will be provided with the sign kit. • Please keep all magnetic grippers from Christmas Signage. You will specifically need these for your Garden Theme Pegboards. • Move the subcategory magnet signs on your endcaps product shifts.• Make sure to move any sale signs, especially as product moves to the mall tables.

Clean As You Go: Before stocking any product, clean away any debris/glitter and remove any old/unneeded fixtures from the pegboard and base deck. Then, thoroughly wipe down all surfaces with a cleaning solution. Do not forget to clean the floors as well.

The season, spring will be broken down into several zones. These zones can be identified by a three letter code on your store specific seasonal plan. Below are some quick touch points for each zone to keep in mind when planning your layout:

GAP:• Fountains, ceramic pottery and heavy synthetic pottery should only be planned on widespan.

TGD:• Location IDs TGD01 though TGD10 are themed garden décor categories and should be planned starting with TGD01 on the

gondola in this area that is closest to the front entrance, snaking through the zone and ending with TGD10 at the end of this zone.DGA:

• You should plan solar/non-solar stakes, chimes and indoor ceramics on 10’ gondola when applicable.

• Wood/Metal containers and pots should be merchandised adjacent to the floral zone (FLO) to support cross-shopping where applicable.

The FY20 spring floorspace allocation worksheet will be used to determine how much space each location ID will need within each zone.

The instructions for the worksheet are as follows:

1. Click the link that was sent out in the store communication dated 11/14 and open the FY20 spring floor plan space

allocation worksheet. You can also find the spreadsheet on the At Home dashboard in the Merchandising Directives link.

2. A text box will appear. Select “Read Only”.

3. This page contains this year’s spring categories, and breaks them down by location ID within each zone. You will use this

page and the following instructions to map out your entire Spring Set.

4. You will notice that the number values in the “4’ Gondola Sections/Wide Span Sections” is blank.

5. Before you move on, you will need to count the total number of 4’ gondola sections and the total number of 8’ wide span

sections you have within each zone on your store specific seasonal plan and make note of each count, remember that 6’,

7’, and 8’ wide span will be counted as 8’ wide span and (2) 4’ wide span sections equal (1) 8’ section.

6. In the box below the “4’ gondola sections”, enter the total number of 4’ gondola sections you have in your “GAP” zone,

and press enter. In the box below the “widespan sections”, enter the total number of 8’ widespan sections you have in

your “GAP” zone, and press enter. You will notice the number values change below.

7. These number values give you the gondola/widespan breakdown for each location ID. Use this breakdown to layout your

“GAP” zone. Start with “GAP01” for the wide span closest to the front door and continue alpha-numerically until you get

to “GAP16”. You should have filled in your entire ‘GAP” zone on your map with all location ID’s in the “GAP’ zone. You will

need to either round up or down depending on the breakdown. For example: “GAP04” says you need 1.74 widespan

sections, so you would round that up to 2 widespan sections.

8. Continue this process for all other zones.

9. On the bottom left corner of the spread sheet, you will see a “FY20 patio cushion floor space” tab, please select this.

10. On this page you will see each patio cushion pattern along with the corresponding alpha-numeric location ID. Count the

number of wide span sections in each “CSH” zone, enter the numbers into the spreadsheet and press enter. You will

notice the number values change below.

11. These number values will give you the wide span breakdown for each location id within each section in patio cushions.

12. You will use this information, the sample layouts, as well as the attached spring guides to create your complete layout for

the Spring season.

Please partner with your DM and create an action plan for any fall merchandise that may be in the way of your spring seasonal set. Work closely with your DM when mapping out your spring seasonal set. You will receive a set of location ID labels relating to spring by WK 44. Please remove any previous location ID from your fixtures when placing the new labels. You should have more than enough to cover your set, but if you need additional labels throughout the season please use P-Touch labels.

How to Merchandise Hanging Product

• Cover as much of the peg board as possible. • Use standard 12 inch silver pegs for lighter items. • Use heavy duty bars and rubber tip pegs for heavier items. • Always hang merchandise from the highest point on the gondola and merchandise downwards. • Keep products with the same width above and below each other to give the aisle a clean look.

How to Merchandise Shelved Product

Gondola • When shelves are equally spaced, merchandise should be striped vertically. • When shelves are tiered, separate merchandise by size to maximize capacity. • Always group like items together (Gazing Balls, String Lights, etc.) • Merchandise should be edged neatly, flush with the front of the shelf. • If hanging merchandise arrives in a PDQ, it should be left in the PDQ and shelved.

Wide Span • Stack merchandise to maximize capacity. • Striping is preferred, but not always applicable. • Make sure all merchandise is available to the customer. Merchandise is easily overlooked in wide span. • Merchandise should be edged neatly, flush with the front of the shelf. • It is OK to stock product on the top of the wide span as needed.

Understanding Shelf Profiles

• Always use the same size shelf on each aisle. • Shelf profiles are included for each location ID. The measurements for each profile are taken from the top of shelf to the top of shelf. Please see diagram below. • The shelf profiles in this guide may be adjusted to fit the needs of your store.

Merchandising Themed Garden

• Themed Garden consists of TGD01-TGD10. Black pegboard will extend past these themes in most cases.• Themed Garden will consist of a wide variety of tabletop décor, pottery, décor, botanicals, and textiles that coordinate within a specific

theme.• Do not mix the themes.• Scan all items to ensure each item is in the correct location ID. • Keep identical items together, but do not group like categories together within each theme.• Separating categories within the location ID helps tell a story within each theme.• Pegged and shelved items can be merchandised together.• Profiles can be adjusted as needed.• Gaps/extra space shown in the merchandising pictures was left intentionally to leave space for larger items and extra stock.

Theme Garden Signs• Save all magnetic grippers from your Christmas Theme Collection Pegboard Signs. You will reuse them for Garden Theme Pegboards• Each collection has 1 pegboard sign and 20 Shelf Strips.• Using 2 magnetic grippers per sign, attach the pegboard sign in the center of each themed run to the top of the upright.• Space your 20 shelf strips out throughout your run, starting at the top shelf on all 4ft sections and filling in where you can based on

Lighting This year we will move landscape lighting inline to merchandise adjacent to string lights, citro/torches, and core lanterns. You will find a large portion of your landscape lights are powered by Energizer batteries in At Home packaging.

Pathway lights will be categorized by lumens. Lumens are the LED equivalent of wattage. More lumens equals more light, so grouping the brighter pathway stakes together will help our customer choose between the value stakes and “better” stakes.

Setting Your Main Street Tables• Main Street tables will be stocked by either color or style/material of pot. Scan each pot to be sure of it’s correct location.• Do not color stripe or segregate colors. Each table should be mixed and mosaic-like in appearance.• Each table has a color-specific set of florals chosen for that table. Group florals together to create the same bouquet in 2-3 pots on the

table. Set florals in pots on the table in either a zig-zag or pyramid design at different heights to spread color through the table. See examples below.

• When specific styles of pottery for each of the tables are running low, please supplement with in line pottery of the same color. Only use the color pottery and floral indicated for each table.

• There will be considerably less room for excess floral on these tables compared to past years.• Pictures of each table are only REPRESENTATIVE of the assortment.• Please keep mini vignettes on the top tier simple and neat. You may include coordinating vases to hold up the stems if the pottery is

In an effort to produce and deliver this guide to stores earlier, you will find we have provided pictures of the “story” on the top tier instead of a picture of the finished table. Product information for each item on the table will be provided in the Q1 Feature Table Guide, which will be released closer to the set date.

• Please note: Keep your current feature tables full and in place until the new product arrives.• Dates provided in this guide are current at the time of publication. Any changes will be communicated in the Q1 Feature Table Guide.• Table 1 will always be the feature table closest to the front door.• Tables should flow numerically, 1-5 at all times.

• If your store only has 4 feature tables, please combine tables 4 and 5 onto your 4th table.• Keep tables full at all times. Substitute similar items as you run low on inventory for a certain category.• The top tier of each feature table should tell a story about the product represented on the table. The pictures provided in this guide

are examples of the look you want to achieve. Styles and quantities will vary by store, so be creative when designing your feature table display.

• Use a doormat, 2x3 scatter, or 3x5 size rug on feature tables.• Each table should have a lighting element of some sort that is lit, be it a lamp, seasonal item, or string lights.• Each table should include a basket/tray/bowl containing a coordinating sachets. Use the packet color to match to table, not the scent.

The container should always be placed on the top tier, front left-hand corner.• Telescoping signs should also be placed at the front left-hand corner of the table. Use the telescoping feature to ensure the tops of all

signs are at the same height.• Each table has a color-specific set of florals chosen for that table.• Before setting this table, please remove all pillows from previous quarters and stock into their home location in line.

Some examples include a wreath, ornaments, extension cords, or giftwrap.• Try to merchandise containers with lids on for easier shopping, as space allows.• A topiary or 7.5’ Christmas tree makes a good focal point and adds height. Be sure the tree is undecorated, properly shaped, and signed.

Use a woven chair and a terrazzo table.• Separate woven from ceramic/cement styles on the table.• Be sure to include finials, harps and bulbs as add-ons. Group these items together and place on either side of the table.
