As an elected official I will always be open to the LGBT community. I will also seek the counsel of theLGBT community for any important issue.

28. Please describe (briefly) what your top goals will be if elected to this office.

Find a new Superintendent. Bring fiscal accountability to the Board. Bring more transparency to theBoard to allow more community input.

29. Please list other endorsements you have received.

Twin Rivers United Educators, Latino Democratic Club, CSEA, Sacramento Central Labor Council andthe Democratic Party of Sacramento County.

32. Why are you running for school board? What is your background in education?

As a parent I am not happy with the current leadership of the Twin Rivers School Board and decided tostop complaining and get involved. As a former member of the North Sacramento School Board I feelqualified to assist in this change.

33. Are you in support of creationism or intelligent design?

34. Does your district have an LGBT Task Force to address the needs and challenges facing LGBTQstudents and employees in your district? If not, why not and what do you plan to do to change this?

We do not but we should, and if elected I will support a Task Force.

35. Does your district have a specific anti-bullying policy that includes LGBTQ students? Not at thepresent time, but will seek the LGBTQ community's counsel in this issue.

36. What have you done to help make schools safer for LGBTQ students and staff, both classified and

non-classified?

As a parent I have taught my children to respect everyone. This has allowed me to have open

discussions about issues around inclusion.

37. Have you been a member of the Bond Oversight Committee? What experiences from the Bond

Oversight Committee do you bring to your candidacy as a school board member?

As a former member of North Sacramento School District I was a member of the District's Modernization

Committee and as a parent I was a member of the Board's BRAC (Fiscal Oversight Committee).
