Our brush seal is not just limited to doors, many other types of applications including dock levelers are a great opportunity to reduce your energy costs and maintain a cleaner, safer and more comfortable facility.

The high quality brushes consist of thousands of filaments that form a solid wall which conforms to almost any irregular surface for an firm, positive and effective seal. Flexible brush allows for free movement of your doors and other equipment in almost any weather condition.

Brush seal materials are available in polypropylene, standard nylon or heavy duty nylon. A number of straight and angled holder designs and sizes along with multiple brush lengths give you the ability to fit any project.

What’s the difference? Nylon verses Polypropylene

Nylon Brush Seal (Therm-L-Brush) is made with nylon filaments which produces the most durable weather seal in the industry, it is UL rated for use with a 3-hour fire door (up to 4” brush lengths) Please note that UL labeling must be requested when ordering for a physical label.

Nylon Brush Seals lasts up to 2,000,000 cycles (opening and closing) without degrading. The UV resistant nylon filaments do not deteriorate from exposure to the sun and are unmatched in it’s ability to seal uneven surfaces for 10 to 15 years. It remains flexible at extreme temperatures (even to 70 below zero).and maintains a superior memory over time.

Standard Duty- Includes standard size brush thickness and a medium sized aluminum holder. Best for most commercial applications. Heavy Duty- Has the largest filament and thickest aluminum holder available. Commonly used to seal larger gaps or for use on larger doors such as aircraft hangars and other industrial door designs. Excellent for heavy duty situations where a large gap exists or where thick seal is required.

Polypropylene Brush Seal (ProSeal) is a cost effective alternative to nylon seal and is very comparable to nylon by sealing in the same effective manner. Although Polypro brush is not as abrasion resistant or UV treated, it is less prone to moisture absorption. It is not UV treated. Holders and seals for Proseal are comparable in size and thickness to the standard duty (nylon). Polypropylene (Proseal) is not UL-rated, but it is far superior to any other vinyl or blade type seal on the market. Provides a great weathertight seal in a wide variety of weather conditions.

Shipping- Brush weatherseal can be shipped LTL as full lengths (stock lengths up to 12’ available)Brush seal and other types of seals can also be sent through UPS or other small package carrier by shipping the ordered length in two staggered pieces. Polypropylene “Polypro” Brush Seals Polypropylene brush seals are a great value and provide an excellent seal on most commercial, industrial, rolling steel, sectional and other types of doors. Installing Polypro brush weatherseal along jambs and headers are an inexpensive way to reduce energy costs and avoid dirt, noise, pests and weather.

Holders are constructed of durable aluminum and come in a variety of sizes and shapes. They feature a clear anodized mill finish and are pre-slotted for easy installation and adjustment. Brush filaments conform to irregular surfaces giving you a firm weathertight seal while allowing unrestricted door movement. Black polypropylene brush comes in a variety of lengths for the best fit for your project. Polypro seals have less abrasion resistance than nylon but are more resistant to moisture absorbtion. Will not crack or fail over time like other common weather seal materials.

Featuring 100% type-6 black nylon, they are 98.5% effective in blocking air infiltration and will not freeze or become brittle in cold weather situations (even down to 70 below).

Nylon brush seals come in a variety of lengths for the best fit for your application. Constructed with thousands of flexible filaments, the brush creates a solid weathertight seal against irregular surfaces and provides easy door movement.

Our brush seals include a clear anodized aluminum holder and are available in standard and heavy duty models. Each model features a number of holder sizes and shapes. Holders are provided with clear anodized finish and are pre-slotted for easy installation and adjustment.

Installation time is a matter of seconds with these high strength tapes. Superior adhesive properties securely holds your weatherseal without screws for a durable and permanent installation.

Double backed tape is available in 1/2” & 3/4” widths and is provided in 108’ long rolls.
