GAOKAO ENTRY REQUIREMENTSFor T3 2020 and 2021 Intake

The University of Adelaide welcomes applications from students who have completed the Gaokao and will grant direct entry to outstanding Gaokao students providing they meet the following scores and any additional requirements and/or criteria that apply for each program. The applicant’s Gaokao score will be converted into a 100% scale by dividing the total score of each province and city.
You must: • Satisfy the University’s English
Language competence requirement. Refer to details here
• Satisfy any prerequisite subject requirements for your chosen program
• And or other program requirements
Please note: The Gaokao scores listed on the table are valid for entry in Trimester 3, 2020 and 2021. Applicants seeking entry to a quota-based program, e.g. Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery, Bachelor of Dental Surgery, Bachelor of Oral Health, or Bachelor of Science (Veterinary Bioscience) will be assessed on a case by case basis and must meet other selection criteria for an entry.
How to Calculate The University of Adelaide converts the National Higher Education Entrance Examination (Gaokao) into percentage. For each of program requirement, please refer to the Gaokao table below by using the following calculation method:
Your total score achieved in the Gaokao divided by the maximum score of each province or city published by the Department of Education in China for each Chinese province or city.
For example: If you have achieved 525 in the Gaokao from Tianjin, your percentage is 525 divided by the maximum score in Taijin 750, then the percentage score on a 100% scale converted is 70% for Tianjin.

The University of Adelaide global citizens scholarshipThis scholarship rewards international students commencing an undergraduate qualification who have achieved Gaokao direct entry requirements.
The scholarship offers a reduction of 15% of the tuition fee for the minimum standard duration of the scholars chosen undergraduate degree.
