Celebrating 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi in Guatemala Inaugurating Mahatma Gandhi Statue in Tecpán, Guatemala

As a part of the celebrations to commemorate the 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, on 2nd October 2019, at picturesque location of Pueblo Real Tecpan, Chimaltenango a statue of Mahatma Gandhi was unveiled. The event was organized in partnership with the Embassy of India in Guatemala. Mayor of Chimaltenango Mr. Carlos Alexander Simaj Chan graced the occasion and unveiled the statue. Mr. Sanjay Banga, Attache (Culture) represented the event from the Embassy of India. Como parte de los eventos conmemorativos del 150 Aniversario del Natalicio de Mahatma Gandhi, en el pintoresco Pueblo Real en Tecpán, Chimaltenango, se develó una estatua de Mahatma Gandhi el 2 de octubre de 2019. El evento fue organizado en asociación con la Embajada de la India en Guatemala. El Alcalde de Chimaltenango, Sr. Carlos Alexander Simaj, dio realce a la actividad al develar dicha estatua.
