1. Singing WindmillTYPE OF EVENT: RELAX AND PLAY

Your challenge: To observe how your changes in moodaffect the song of the windmill

HOW TO DO IT:

Wave your wand over the base of the windmill and clickon the orange smoke.

Take deep, relaxing breaths and sense your mood comingdown gradually.

When you have relaxed sufficiently, the Windmill willstart to sing!

Listen to the music and feel its rhythms in time with yourown mental and emotional state. As you do the ‘heartbreath’ the Windmill will change melodies.

Play for a while and when you’re finished, click the arrowat the bottom of the screen.

Press the <esc> key to return to the Guided ActivityMode menu.

REMEMBER: your mentor is sitting at the bottom ofthe screen if you need help.

INSIGHTS

There are three different melodies as part of this triad ofwindmill songs.You may only hear one song, and that’sokay.Rather than try to manipulate your mood to changethe music, think of this as a kind of recreational respite,a place to rest before the journey ahead. Tune in to thesounds themselves, as if they are at once matching yourinternal rhythms and healing them at the same time,reflecting your song while harmonizing your energy withpeace.You can always return later to see if your mood atanother time calls forth a different melody, but for now,enjoy the melody that is singing your reflection out loud.

ON YOUR OWN

What do you sound like in stereo? If you could translatethe energy inside you into music,what kind of soundtrackwould you play? It would probably change throughoutthe day: maybe a light, lilting melody in the morning, afull orchestra when you’ve hit your stride, a cacophony ofsounds when you feel pulled in different directions.Thisevent gives you the opportunity to practice listening, andusing that auditory sense alone to tune in to and under-stand what’s going on inside of you at this very moment.

Try this:Throughout the day, maybe once in the morning,afternoon, and evening, stop and listen to your mind and body.What kind of “music” do you hear? Stop and really listen.What does it sound like? Is it racing, soaring, plummeting?Do you feel yourself moving along steadily at an even pace,or dancing to an erratic rhythm that changes hour to hour?Do a few heart breaths, in and out for five counts each, andsense your internal metronome setting the pace you want.Imagine the strains of your music, and let it play.

2. Peril FootbridgeTYPE OF EVENT:

COMBINATION: ENERGIZE AND RELAX

Your challenge: Repair the footbridge and then take aride in the hot air balloon

HOW TO DO IT:

Move your mouse until you see a puff of smoke, click onit and you will be led down a path leading to the brokenfootbridge.

Raise your energy by taking invigorating breaths, laughingout loud, or shouting; sense your energy shooting up yourspine like lightning, sending sparks of energy throughoutyour body.

As you consistently raise and then maintain an elevatedstate, the footbridge planks will begin to repair themselves.When the bridge is complete, you will be transportedacross to the other side.

Once you’re there, click on the puff of smoke near theballoon.To take the balloon ride bring your energy down

with deep, calming breaths, which will cause the hot-airballoon to lower down to you.

When your balloon has landed press the <esc> key toreturn to the GuidedActivity Mode menu or continue onin Game Quest Mode, navigating and uncovering themany adventures there are to behold.

INSIGHTS

You’ve had plenty of experience at this point increasingyour energy, but somehow, no matter what you know inyour head, manifesting that change in your body alwayspresents the same challenge. That’s because the idea ofenergy is different from creating it. Of course, the easewith which you complete this event will wholly dependon the state of mind you’re in, how your day has been,how you feel right now. Allow yourself to enjoy the“ride” that elevates your energy.

Once you’ve repaired the bridge and have been taken tothe other side, you get to experience a real shift as youconsciously bring your energy down.This sharp contrastmakes the shift even more tangible, which will help youbecome more aware of how different these states are.Imagine your energy is like the balloon, having beensuspended, and is now, slowly, coming back to earth.

When we encounter a situation in which conditions areshaky, unsure, or questionable like the flimsy footbridge,our natural reaction is to recoil.Yet here you find yourself

in a position in which you are faced with unstablecircumstances (the footbridge) and yet are told that youcan only brave it by raising your energy, not lowering it.That’s because raising your energy, you strengthen it, testyour resolve, and bear out uncertain circumstances – agood lesson indeed. Rather than fly under the radar intimes of uncertainty, we can actually find stability andstrength in our energy. Now, obviously this is not arecommendation to stride blindly in the face of danger orrisk, but rather to use your energy to create a sturdierfoundation from which to act, and call upon that internalstrength to carry you.

Try this:The next time you find yourself at a crossroadsin which you are unsure of taking the next step, make thedecision to raise your energy and thus strengthen yourresolve. Choose to become your fullest, brightest you, andapproach that person or situation with a raised vibration.Take a deep breath and feel it filling your mind & bodywith light as it fills the cracks in your self-confidence,giving you sturdier footing.

3. Levitate the Red StoneTYPE OF EVENT:

PRACTICE ENERGY AND AWARENESS

Your challenge:Get the red stone to float out of its jar andland on the pedestal

HOW TO DO IT:

Wave your wand over the crystal sphere and click on thesmoke to begin.

Raise your energy to cause the stone to rise out of its jar,and then level out your energy in order to get it to rest onthe golden pedestal on the right. If your energy is toohigh, you will soar over and around the pedestal, too lowand you’ll swoop under it. Keep at it – it may take somepatience and heightened awareness to guide it onto thepedestal.

Once you’ve guided it onto the pedestal,Congratulations!– you have acquired the first stone on your quest.

To collect the Red Stone click and drag the sparklingstone into your bag.

Once you have listened to the ‘Thinking for Peace’ prac-tice press the <esc> key to return to the Guided ActivityMode menu.

INSIGHTS

This event has a dual challenge – to elevate and thenmaintain your energy in order to direct the stone in firsta vertical and then a horizontal direction. If your energyspikes too high, the stone will fly up to the ceiling and getstuck, and you have to sort of “talk” it down with yourenergy again.The key is to raise your energy just enoughto direct the stone upward, and then become awareof your energy and keep it steady without raising ordropping it, in order to carry it level to the cup on theright. Think of when you stacked the rocks in Game 1:Journey to Wild Divine – you had to maintain a consis-tent energy level to get those rocks across, one by one.Yousort of have to press the gas pedal initially, but then learnto coast on that energy the rest of the way.

ON YOUR OWN

If we endlessly elevated our energy, we’d spin out ofcontrol. The key to mindful awareness is sensing yourenergy level internally and knowing when to switchgears. Sometimes you need a good burst of energy to getyou going, but if you hold it in third gear for too long, youburn out. To get the most leverage out of yourenergy, you have to know when to raise it and then whento coast evenly, riding out the wave of your energy inorder to more accurately and precisely direct it.Next timeyou feel a “peak” moment of excitement, become aware

of it and allow it to stretch out gradually through yourday; in other words, try not to let a disappointment orconflict take the air out of that “high,” but rather letyourself down gradually and gently.

Try this Peaceful practice: practice being for peace.Take fiveminutes today for yourself. Meditate on the peacefulnesswithin you; visualize it as a glowing light and the moreyou focus on it, the greater that light becomes, beaming outinto all areas of your life. Make it a point to allow peaceto feed your energy today; find opportunities to forgiveand to laugh.

4. Stone TabletsTYPE OF EVENT:

COMBINATION: RELAX AND ENERGIZE

Your challenge: Retrieve the orange stone by changingyour energy to raise and lower the heavy stone tablets

HOW TO DO IT:

Wave your wand over the stone sphere and click on thesmoke to begin.

Bring your energy down, causing the second tablet todescend and line up with the first tablet, allowing thestone to roll through.

Move on to the next tablet, raising your energy this timeto match up with the preceding tablet, and so on, untilyou complete it.

Click and drag the sparkling stone to your bag at the endof the event.

Once you have listened to the ‘Feeling for Peace’practice press the <esc> key to return to the GuidedActivity Mode menu.

INSIGHTS

This event gives you some practice at altering your energystates from one step to the next – which you might findchallenging at first. Be patient and take your time.Thosetablets are heavy and can’t be expected to flit up and downlike balloons afloat on your energy. Because of the natureof these stones, they will take some considerable effort tomove, which means you will need to focus your energyand intent until you can get the stones to budge.

ON YOUR OWN

While chances are your job doesn’t involve actual heavylifting, sometimes it’s the smallest tasks that take the mosteffort in our day-to-day lives: writing that email you’vebeen putting off, picking up the phone to ask for a favor.These are certainly not difficult tasks in and of themselves:push buttons on a keyboard, pick up a phone. But it’s notthe tasks themselves but the weight of the consequence orthe process itself that tends to make you drag your feet.But when you do follow through with the task, yourenergy, like the orange stone, is freed up, rolls forward,moves on to the next thing. Sometimes you have tomanipulate your energy to make things happen, andsometimes that means slowing down and taking it slow,and other times it means whipping yourself into action tocreate a force that will induce flow.

Try this Peaceful practice:Think for peace today. Centeryour thoughts on making peace part of your every intentionand every act.Is there one thing you’ve been putting off, a veritable “stone

tablet” hanging over your head that you can’t seem tobudge? What is your attitude toward it and why? Whenyou think about doing it, what happens to your energy?Try countering that energy by calling on a counter force.If it’s something that gets you worked into a frenzy, tryusing a calming energy to counter it; if you are draggingyour feet, do something that will kick your energy up anotch.This could mean meditating, going for a walk, orsimply visualizing what the problem is and what it willtake to get it moving forward.

5. Sound MagicianTYPE OF EVENT:

GATHER AND RECHARGE

Your challenge: Experience the wonder of the SoundMagician; then work as one with the dolphin

HOW TO DO IT:

Wave your wand first over the sphere and click on theorange smoke at the far end of the pool.

The sound magician will appear and have something toshow you; when he disappears, click on the sphere again(there are three different experiences he will share; justclick on the sphere each time).

Simply allow yourself to take in the magic as he transformsthe courtyard into a theater of sound.When he’s finished,the magician will vanish into his inner gardens.

Next, click on the purple smoke over the pool and you’llbegin to see a disturbance in the water as a what appearsto be a predator beneath the surface reveals its secret.Relax now and watch as what may have caused you fearbecomes a delightful surprise from the sea.

Now, the dolphin is ready to play. First, collect your ener-gy in a calm and relaxed state. Now, with a quick burst ofenergy, a big laugh or a very deep breath, watch as yoursea friend does a trick for you. When you’re finishedplaying with the dolphin, click the arrow at the bottom ofthe screen.

Press the <esc> key to return to the Guided ActivityMode menu.

INSIGHTS

This is different from the other events in which you havea clear objective; the Sound Magician’s “theater of themind” is designed to both entertain you and awaken yoursense of sound. Beginning with a single drop of water, themagician conjures a river, and then an entire ocean, trans-porting you into the heart and soul of nature. Remember,click three times to delight in all of his treasures.

The second part of this event, the dolphin, is an energizeevent, but also very much linked to the nature of sound.Allow yourself to become entranced by the hauntingmelodies of this sea creature, a kind of echoing underwateropera. Notice the melodic change in the sound of thedolphin as you relax.

You’ll need to gather and recharge your energy here tocoax the dolphin out of the water.This quick shift in yourenergy is a key training for a very important event youwill encounter later.

ON YOUR OWN

Because we are so bombarded with unwanted sound inour culture, it’s natural that we tend to tune it out, if onlyas a means of self-preservation.What this event seeks to dois reawaken the sensual beauty of sound in its richest,mostnatural form. After all, you don’t just experience naturethrough your eyes, but through your ears as well. By tuningin to this sense, you can expand and rediscover the magicof sound.Take the intriguing and enriching sounds of thisevent with you as you leave virtual reality and return toyour own world filled with sounds of its own.

Try this: How aware are you of the sounds in yourenvironment right now? Take a minute to close your eyes,take a few deep breaths, and just listen – without judgment,critique, fear, or annoyance. Is it truly silent, or are theresmall sounds underneath the silence you’ve never heardbefore? An airplane miles overhead, the low, white humof an appliance, distant laughter.The world is not a quietplace, not even in its darkest hour.Allow the sounds tomove through and around you; acknowledge them andlet them go.

6. Crystal MazeTYPE OF EVENT:MIXED ENERGY

Your challenge: Navigate the golden stone through thecrystal maze

HOW TO DO IT:

Wave your wand over the crystal ball in the center of theroom and click to begin.

Use your energy, intention, and breath to manipulate thejourney of the golden stone through the crystal maze: Inorder to get it to go upward, raise your energy; to get it todescend through it, drop your energy.

Direct the stone through to the end,where you must calmyour energy to get it to drop into the golden basketbelow.

When finished, click and drag the sparkling stone intoyour bag.

INSIGHTS

This can be a tricky event, simply because rather thanfocusing on relaxing or energizing, you’re required toswitch between the two energies throughout, as if you’reshifting gears: rev up to get the golden stone to levitateupward, and drop it back down to cause it to descend.Explore this challenge with an open mind, rather than aburning drive to succeed. Pay attention to how your breathand intention interact with the scene before you to createresults; don’t manipulate your breath to “force” the event,because that could end up causing negative effects: short-ness of breath, lightheadedness, etc. Go at your own paceand enjoy what feels very much like mental telepathy asyou invisibly guide the stone to its final destination.

ON YOUR OWN

We often think of our energy as an afterthought, some-thing on the receiving end of things, receptive to andreflective of external stimuli. In fact, our energy is apowerful tool that often goes underused, one that canhelp create an effect or help you reach a goal of yourown. This exercise teaches you to use your breath andintention in order to control an external circumstance, inthis case, moving the stone through the crystalline maze.Think of how many times in your life or even in one dayalone you have to bring about a desired result, whetherit’s getting your boss to give you the go-ahead on some-thing, or coaxing your kids to help with the dishes.

Whatever the goal, small or large, you can reach it moreeasily if you become aware of and thus in control of yourown energy.

Try this Peaceful practice: Feel for peace today.Think of asituation right now that requires some action on your part,maybe even some finagling. How can using compassionin your approach help? How would the results differ basedon whether you used your “up” energy or “down” energyto control this real-life event? Remember, it’s not simplyabout “putting on” a face or appearance of positivity orcalm, but really feeling it and allowing it to flow intowhatever you’re doing or trying to do. Meditate on yourparticular goal and visualize yourself as a compassionateforce moving towards it.

This event provides a powerful visual for relaxation, onein which your breath can actually create space, which isessentially what your breath does – creates space bothphysically and mentally.The water level is in many waysa reflection of your energy – fluid, moving – and from itsdepths comes pure relaxation. You’ll notice that if youfalter in your relaxation and allow a competing energy totake hold, the water will assume its original level andyou’ll begin again.

ON YOUR OWN

In many ways, the water in the pool is reminiscent of ourmind and body – think of your body as the pool orcontainer, and the water as the element that movesthrough you and fills you with thoughts, emotions,moods, and life-giving energy. By breathing deeply andcalming your energy, you settle deep inside the body itselfand reset its rhythms.When paired with the heart breath,this image can encourage flow and fluidity, and a deep,profound relaxation.

Try this: In a stressful moment, take a few minutes awayfrom your desk or from whatever task you’re involvedin, and use the visual of the water to calm your nerves.It’s like a tub draining – it doesn’t drop down at a rapidpace, but drains gradually.Think of your energy the sameway: let the heat and stress drain from your body likewater from a tub or from the courtyard pool, lowering alittle at a time until you’ve returned to a steady andcomfortable place.

7. Receding WatersTYPE OF EVENT:RELAX

Your challenge: Lower the water level in this courtyardpool and reveal a secret passageway

HOW TO DO IT:

Wave your wand over the pool and click on the smoketo begin.

Begin by taking deep, slow breaths. Feel your energydescending like the surface of the pool, a little at a time.

This breath is a little more challenging, as it requires morefocus, and may take some getting used to. Once youpractice and internalize its ancient rhythms, you willexperience the calming and cleansing sensation it createsin both mind and body.This type of breath does severalthings: encourages a faster inhale so that you speedoxygen into the body, allow the oxygen to permeate thelungs fully as you hold with an open throat, and then along exhale ensures you dispel all the old air and can makeroom for more. Remember to always breathe throughyour nose, and hold your breath with an open throat,meaning without sealing your throat or locking any muscles.

ON YOUR OWN

This very expansive, controlled, and deep breath can have aprofound effect on the body, which is why you should useit consciously and sparingly. You wouldn’t want togo around trying to control your breath all day (there’s areason we’re designed to do it automatically). Spend a fewminutes at a time trying this new breath, and stay tunedin to your body and become aware of any discomfort, light-headedness, and so on. HOW TO DO IT:

In the snowy mountains, you will find your mentor whowill teach you about compassion and meditation.

He will tell you when to remove the heart locket fromyour bag and place it on the rock (see the heart-shapedspace on the rock indicating where to put it). Once youplace it there, it will begin to pulse.

Then, he will lead you through a meditation exercise tofocus the mind.When you have completed the event, theheart will transform into a sparkling purple stone; take itand put it into your bag.

Your challenge: Open the treasure chest to retrieve theHealing Star that will free the Butterfly Maiden

HOW TO DO IT:

Wave your wand and click on the butterfly chest.

Elevate your energy by taking deep, invigorating breathsand the box will begin to open. Continue to feel yourenergy pulsing through you, pushing the lid back with thepure force of it.

When the box opens, the golden star will appear. Takeit and put it in your bag.

You will then turn yourattention to each of the Four Intentions: peace, harmony,laughter, and love.Visualize each radiating out from yourheart center, rippling across the oceans of consciousness.Meditating on the four intentions this way doesn’t meansimply thinking “about” them, but rather embodyingthem, becoming a vessel for peace and compassion, andthus connecting with the cosmos and your true self.

Your challenge: Complete the journey by using yourWisdom Breath to put the stones in the Healing Star anda final meditation

HOW TO DO IT:

In this final event, you must first take the Healing Star ofAtlantis from your bag and place it on the ButterflyMaiden’s cocoon in the center of the room.

Use your Wisdom Breath (four counts in, six counts out)to propel the stones into their places on the star.

When you’ve accomplished this, the Wisdom Keeper willlead you through a final meditation on the Four Intentions.
