A highly effective Manual Therapy Techniqueconsists of gentle application of sustainedpressure into the fascial restrictions. The

therapist allows 3-5 min for the viscoelastic medium (fascia) to elongate in order alleviate

pain, restore range of motion as well aspositively affect physiological body alignment.

Fascia is a tough connective tissue whichspreads throughout the entire body in a three

dimensional web from head to foot withoutinterruption. Trauma, posture and inflammation

can create a binding down of fascia resultingin excessive pressure (approximately 2000

pounds per square inch) on nerves, muscles,blood vessels, osseous structures and/or

organs. Since many of the standard tests suchas x-rays, myelograms , CAT scans,

electromyography, etc. do not show the fascialrestrictions, it is thought that an extremely highpercentage of people suffering with pain and/orlack of motion may be having fascial problems

but most go undiagnosed.
