What is cholecystitis?

Inflammation of gallbladder

Common to people eating high fat and calories

Cholelithiasis- also known as gallstones

Treatment:

Diet Therapy

1. Low-fat diet maybe used to avoid stimulus to gallbladder which constricts to excrete bile with subsequent pain. Avoid rich pastries, chocolates, nuts, fatty, fried and gas-forming foods

2. Plain and simple foods are recommended

3. Spices and high residue foods may cause distention and increase peristalsis

nutritional therapy,reduce discomfort

Whole milk, cream, ice cream

Whole milk, cheese, fatty meats, fish and poultry

Chocolate, fried foods gravies, cooking fats lard

Most baked foods; cakes, cookies, doughnuts, pastries, pies and sweet rolls
