Gaelic Rules

• The scoring is like this. If you kick the ball through the posts over the crossbar it counts as one point. If you kick the ball through the posts lower than the crossbar it is a goal. This counts as 3 points.

• You are allowed four steps with the ball in your hands before you have to solo or bounce the ball or kick a pass.

• No foul play (i.e. tugging jerseys, pushing etc.)

• There is a league for all the county teams. It is split into 5 divisions

• The best teams are in division 1 • The worst teams are in division 5

• Kerry have won 19 National League Titles• Dublin have won 12 National League Titles• Mayo have won 11 National League Titles• Cork have won 8 National League Titles• Meath have won 7 National League Titles• Derry have won 6 National League Titles• Galway have won 4 National League Titles• New York have won 3 National League Titles

All-Ireland

• The All Ireland is a knockout series to win the Sam Maguire.

• There is also provincial championships.

• The All-Stars are the players that preformed the best in their position during the year.

• There is usually a lot of players off the all-Ireland winning team on the All-Star team.
