The Library has recently arranged for trial subscriptions to two new electronic resources—Access Sur-gery and Access Emergency Medi-cine. We already have subscrip-tions to two of their sister prod-ucts, Access Medicine and Access Pharmacy. Anyone who has used either of those resources will be familiar with the Access platform.

Access Emergency Medicine and Access Surgery include access to

Leading textbooks

Procedural videos

High-quality images

Interactive self-assessments

Drug Database

Both trials run through May 10, 2015. Please try them out and provide feedback to Fay Towell at [email protected]. Or simply email [email protected] with your comments. We value and appreciate your opinion!

While everyone loves the easy access and availabil-ity of electronic books, there are many times when a print edition is the quickest and easiest

way to get to the infor-mation we need.

The library has recently added a number of new print books, including new editions of key titles

as well as completely new titles to complement our collection.

The new books encom-pass all of the allied health sciences, including quite a few areas that are especially relevant to the medical students. Sub-jects include anatomy, histology, pharmacology, microbiology and neurol-ogy—as well as all of the clinical specialties. We have also added a num-ber of new books for nursing and pharmacy.

Stop in and browse the “New Books” shelf. And if you are unable to stop by, check the list of new books on our Facebook page! Books circulate for two weeks.
