Referred Students

Tier 1SEL LessonsAll Students

8

Tier 1:All students - Will continue to receive Social Emotional Learning lessons through a program we have implemented at Luther Burbank School for the past 2 years named Second-Step. Teachers will implement this through distance learning.

Tier 2:Group Counseling - Students identified by either a parent and/or school staff may be referred for group counseling that may be provided using distance learning programs the student is already using; ie. zoom, google classroom, and/or seesaw.

Tier 3:Individual Counseling - Students identified by either a parent and/or school staff may referred for individual counseling. An assessment intake will be made by school counselor prior to accepting the referral to best meet the student’s needs. Student may receive individual counseling with Mrs. Benavides or one of our partnering outside counseling agencies, Uplift Family Services. Services for the moment will be provided via video.
