Presentation & Speech Contest
Eleven 4-H’ers took the stage on Tuesday, April 4th at the Ella Missing Building
in Arapahoe, for the 2017 Furnas County Speech and Presentation Contest. It was a fun and educational evening as each competitor anxiously awaited their turn to, ‘wow’ the judge with
their speech. Micah Gerlach, Kolby Hunt, Mackenna Hunt and Megan tenBensel (pictured to the left),
represented Furnas County, with their speeches, at the 4-H
Regional competition. The regional contest for the West Central area took place on April 29th in North Platte. These four 4-H’ers proudly represented Furnas County as Mackenna took Purple in the senior division. In the Intermediate division, Kolby received a Blue and Megan a Red. Then last, but certainly not least, Micah received top medal in the Junior Division of the West Central Regional Speech Competition.
Congratulations Micah and to all of our Public Speakers!
