Skillastics® Activity Kits
History
Skillastics is the brainchild of world-renown basketball
entertainer Sandy Spin Slade. Sandy transitioned from
Entertainer to Entrepreneur and became known as the
“expert”, teaching basketball fundamentals to Physical
Educators throughout the country. She believed all children,
regardless of age or ability should have a positive experience
being physically active. This experienced inspired her to
create Skillastics, oversize board games that help develop
students fitness and sport skills.
Her flagship product, Basketball Skillastics was launched in
2002. Since then she has created 13 variations of the
Skillastics technique that is enjoyed by over 10 million
students in over 25,000 schools and after school programs
nationwide.

6 Individual Groups…

Assessment & Lesson Plans
Nutrition Integration
• Start with normal
play of Skillastics®
• After repetitions are
completed, child
that rolled the die,
looks at the color
border of the
activity on the
miniature mat, picks
that card and reads
it to the group.
• The group discusses
question, and then
reader reveals
answer.
After answer is revealed the card is
then placed under that pile and the
next child jogs to the large mat,
repeating the process.
