Fundamentals of Shale Reservoir Characterization: Why Shales are Different from other Lithologies
Friday, Sept. 23, full day Postconvention workshop
Core organizing committee: Dan Ebrom, Azra Tutuncu, Ali Mese, Stephanie Nowak
Extended organizing committee: Stephan Gelinsky, Cengiz Esmersoy, Jacques LeVeille, Bob Tatham, Ivar Brevik
Format: Oral presentations will be 15 minutes in length, followed by 15 minutes of discussion. Discussion leaders will be present to catalyze and facilitate discussion. The morning sessions will have a group discussion before lunch wherein questions can be posed to any of the morning speakers. A summary and synthesis of the day will be given by Ivar Brevik prior to the afternoon group discussion. The afternoon group discussion will allow questions to be posed to any of the afternoon speakers.
Poster presentations will be given after lunch, before the afternoon oral presentations begin.
