Method: 30 ÷ 6 = 5 5 x 1 = 5

30 novices need 5 instructors.

Answer: 5 : 30

1 : 6 Method: The whole has been divided into7 equal parts. Find value of 1 part

28 ÷ 7 = 4

(4 x 1 = 4) (4 x 6 = 24)

Answer: 4 : 24

Method: 84 ÷ 6 = 14

14 x 1 = 14

7 x 9 = 63 but there are 6 extra people. One of them must be aninstructor to keep within the legalratio. 6 x 9 = 54 plus the left over 5
