Purpose of the Job This position is responsible for safe and efficient performance of a variety of welding related duties associated with the manufacture and fabrication of assemblies, sub-assemblies and related pieces for WBA products. Knowledge and Experience • Responsible for the safe operation, care and maintenance of welding and shop equipment. • Ability to read and interpret shop drawings • Ability to tack and weld steel and stainless steel (aluminum a plus) in accordance with welding codes and
specification. • Ability to fit, tack and weld sub-assemblies such as support boxes, support bars, brackets, tie-town brackets,
modular anchors, curb and slider plate assemblies, pre-stress leveling and shipping devices, stainless steel sheet, plates, bars, etc.
• Ability to perform continuous welding of lengths using semi-automatic high deposition welding process. • Ability to operate various fabrication equipment: saws, stud welders, drill presses, punches, shot blasters,
and a variety of portable hand tools. • Ability to operate overhead cranes, jib cranes, tow motors and other material handling equipment. • Familiarity with AWS qualifications and GMAW processes. • Specific vocational training in welding required (WS qualified – flat, horizontal and vertical in MIG, TIG
