CeramillD-FlowisanupgrademodulefortheCeramillMindsoftwareandwasspeciallydevelopedfordesigningcustomised,precisefulldentures.Itisusedaftermodelfabricationandarticulatingusingthemanualprocedureandreplacesallworkingstagesuptothewaxtry-inwithaseamlessdigitalworkflow.Theuserisautomaticallyguidedstep-by-stepthroughtheworkingprocedureandbenefitsfromahighdegreeofconvenience,efficiencyandprocessreliability.
Model analysis
ModelanalysisintheCeramillD-FlowsoftwareisbasedontheTIFsystem.Thesoftwareguidestheuserthroughtheindividualprocessstages,inwhichtherespectiveanatomicaldetailsaremarked.Followingthis,thejointbasicstaticsoftheupperandlowerjawmod-elsarecalculatedintheformofavisualrepresentationofallfunctionallyrelevantsettingupandtoleranceareas.Thesetsofdentureteetharethenselectedbasedontheseresultsfollowedbyautomaticrecommendationfortheset-up.
Automatic setting up by the integrated setting up concept
Thetoothset-upsoftheupperandlowerarestoredinthesoftwareaccordingtothecon-tactpointguidelinesofthetoothmanufacturer.Theintegratedsettingupconceptsthusguaranteeanidealtooth-to-toothrelationshipandformthebasisforinterference-freefunction.Toensureanoptimallyfunctionalandaestheticoutcome,theuserreceivesabest-fitrecommendationfromtheavailablesetsofteeth,whichwereautomaticallydeter-minedfromthevaluesofthepreviousmodelanalysis.Sourcesoferrorandgapsinknowl-edgewhensettingupareavoidedinthiswayinfavourofaquick,easysolutionwithaccu-ratelyfittingresults.
Customisation of the set-up
Tomeettheaestheticrequirementswhensettinguptheteeth,theset-upcanbecustom-isedindividuallyorwiththeaidofthechaintool.Ifthepositionofatoothischangedwhenworkingwiththechaintool,theadjacenttoothfollowsautomaticallywherebytheproximalcontactsalwaysremainintact.Posteriorteethcanbemovedinblocksofeightwhilemaintainingthecontactrelationshipsandinaccordancewiththetoothmanufactur-er’sguidelines.Thisallowstheset-uptobeadjustedindividually,asfaraspermittedbythelimitscalculatedinthemodelanalysis.

Gingiva forming
CeramillD-Flowincorporatesthefunctionofautomaticallycreatingdenturebasesandgingiva,whichproducesanoptimuminitialbasisforquickandeasy,yetcustomiseddesignofdenturebasesandgingiva.Forexample,gingivalcharacteristicssuchasalveoliprofilesorpapillaecontourscanbegeneratedandtheminimumthicknessofthedenturebaseguaranteedusingdifferentmodellingandsettingoptions.

Excursionsofthemandiblecanbesimulatedinthevirtualarticulator.Thisallowsanyinterferingareasoftheteethinprotrusion,laterotrusionandretrusiontobevisualised.Thedynamicocclusioncanbesetbymovingtheteethdirectlyinthesoftware.
Basal adaptation
Thedentureteethareautomaticallyadaptedbasallywithadefinedgaptothealveolarridge.InterferingareasareremovedlaterusingtheCeramillMotion2(5X),eliminatingtheneedformanualbasalreworkingoftheteeth.Further,infutureitwillbepossibletoinsertrotationalsecuritybasallyintotheteeth.
