The AIESEC Experience
The AIESEC experience is an innovative development process that provides members many opportunities in becoming a truly global citizen. This focuses on leadership experience, building a connection to the world and promoting global understanding.
Leadership Experience
AIESEC members have the opportunity to lead teams, plan and make decisions, speak in public, and turn their ideas into results.
AIESEC members interact with the industry, government, NGOʼs, universities, students and interns. This allows AIESECers to be some of the most connected young people in Sri Lankan universities.

GCDP Details and Logistics
The Global Community Development Program The Global Community Development Program (GCDP) is one of AISECʼs main initiatives through which AIESEC focuses on encouraging cross cultural positive impact by bringing downs foreign talent to local communities.
A GCDP program gives AIESECers an opportunity to develop entrepreneurial and responsible leadership by creating direct positive impact through an international volunteer experience. Interns are able to gain professional skills in a variety of fields including, but not limited to, English language education, community development and social work.
Interns will work with organizations such as schools, not-for-profit organizations and other development projects.
AIESEC interns stand apart from the average young person, having passed a rigorous screening and selection process. Thus, they are well equipped to bring along positive community development.
Based on global issues Voluntary opportunity
Duration: 6-8 weeks All accommodation, food, transport and logistics handled by AIESEC.
Project "Fuegosticka" is an initiative by AIESEC Colombo South (University of Moratuwa) which allows the Sri Lankan youth to experience the dynamic and fast growing world of technology in Mobile Game Development and Gaming.
Today, Mobile Game Development and Gaming play significant roles in the technical industry and is developing its demand day by day. Being in a technical era, we hope to provide the Sri Lankan young generation the unique opportunity to experience the latest technologies in this regard.
Fuegosticka is an opportunity for the youth to get a flavour of advanced mobile games and be knowledgeable of the latest technologies that are being used all over the world. Further, having foreign interns throughout the event will add the colours of universal harmony while this will also be an effort to expose the youth in Sri Lanka to the international community.
Project Fuegosticka 2.0
Introduction
Experiencing the latest gaming technologies.
Developing the technical skills of local undergraduates.
Binding the Sri Lankan youth with international exposure.
Scope
The project is scheduled to start in January 2015 and it will go on for six weeks. A number of voluntary interns from all over the world will be a part of this program. They are supposed to mentor and guide the participants in the assigned tasks. The target group of participants is local undergraduates and a large audience is expected. The first phase of the project will be allocated for the Game Development Competition, which will have groups of applicants. Interns, who will be assigned as leaders, will follow up on the group's progress and will assist them in enhancing their development and marketing skills.
Sessions on technical aspects ,marketing,leadership and team working are to be conducted in this time period.whereas the gaming competition is scheduled for the last phase of the project.
Workshops for participants will be conducted by various partners of the AIESEC Colombo South local committee along with the interns of "Fuegosticka".
Award Ceremony will be organized at the end of the project. All Participants will get an opportunity to introduce their game and the winners will be rewarded.
The following topics are expected to be addressed
Idea Development and Technical Briefing
Assigned groups will be guided to initiate an innovative and creative idea for development and they will be given the chance to improve relevant technical skills.
Guiding and mentoring the development process of groups
Development process of applications will be mentored and evaluated by professionals in the industry.
Development of Marketing and Presentation skills
This session will give the opportunity for the participants to shape their communication and presentation skills while gaining knowledge about basic marketing principles.
Criticsʼ session to evaluate the developed applications
Experienced professionals from the industry will be present to critically evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of the applications driving them to a better and well executed development.
Final Presentations and declaration of winners
Judges will declare the winners of the competition and they will be rewarded.
Game Competition
A Computer gaming competition will be held at the end of the development workshops for the participants. This will bring an opportunity for the youth in Sri Lanka to experience the advanced computer games. The Gaming competition will go on for two days with the participation of a number of gaming groups.
