DANIEL GILBERTMajority Owner, Cleveland Cavaliers

Dan Gilbert is Chairman and Founder of Quicken Loans, the nation’s largest onlinehome lender. Dan also is majority owner of the NBA Cleveland Cavaliers basketball teamand operator of the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio. In addition, he is majorityowner of the American Hockey League’s newest franchise the Lake Erie Monsters, anaffiliate of the National Hockey League’s Colorado Avalanche.

Quicken Loans expects to close more than $20 billion in home loans in calendar year2007. The company employs nearly 5,000 people and has been ranked a Top 20 "Best

Place to Work" in America by FORTUNE Magazine for the past four years and ranked the #1 place to work for tech-nology employees in the United States by Computerworld Magazine the past three consecutive years.

Dan founded Rock Financial in 1985 as a 22–year old first–year law student. Rock Financial grew into one of thelargest independent mortgage banks in the country. In May of 1998, the company went public on the NASDAQexchange in an IPO led by Bear Stearns, Inc.

In January 1999, the company launched its internet strategy which quickly positioned itself as the leader in onlineretail mortgages.

In December 1999, software maker Intuit purchased Rock Financial and the national web operation was renamedQuicken Loans Inc. With Dan staying on as CEO, Quicken Loans quickly became the leading provider of home loanson the Internet. The Quicken Loans Web site has gone on to earn "Best of the Web" accolades from Forbes, Moneyand PC Magazines.

In July 2002, (2 1/2 years after the sale to Intuit), Gilbert led a small group of private investors and purchasedQuicken Loans Inc., back from Intuit. The company has been 100% privately held since that time. As part of the buyback of the company, Quicken Loans Inc. retained all rights to the Quicken Loans Inc. trademarks.

Dan became majority owner of the Cavaliers in March, 2005. In the short period he has owned the Cavaliers, hehas led a complete overhaul of the front office executive team, coaching staff, player personnel, and game presenta-tion.

In addition, he has invested $27 million in renovations for the "Quicken Loans Arena" (known as “The Q”) includingnew seats, state-of-the-art scoreboards, video systems, sound systems, arena graphics, signage, security, player lock-er rooms, suite upgrades and administrative offices as well as the development of a new $25 million player develop-ment and training center that opened in September in nearby Independence, Ohio.

The facility, named Cleveland Clinic Courts, provides the team's players and coaches with a state-of-the-art centerthat deploys the newest and best technologies in assisting player training and development as well as leading edgevideo and instruction. The center also contains convenient media work space along with satellite and other deliverychannels for the press corps that cover the team.

In Dan's first full year of ownership, the Cavaliers posted the sixth best record in the NBA at 50–32. The teamreturned to the playoffs for the first time since 1998, won a playoff series for the first time since 1993, and nearly upsetthe heavily-favored Detroit Pistons in the second round, taking the Pistons to a seventh and final game.

In his second year of ownership, the Cavaliers won the Eastern Conference Championship by beating the Pistons,making their way to the NBA Finals for the first time in the 37-year franchise history.

Dan and his partners also operate and invest in consumer–based, technology centered businesses, including:Michigan-based online promotions company, ePrize; and Fathead LLC, which licenses and sells a new category ofproduct for the true sports enthusiast. A “Fathead” is a life-size, colorful, vinyl wall graphic of popular sports stars fromthe NBA, NFL, NHL and MLB in an action pose, or fans favorite team helmets, in addition to NASCAR racecars andHollywood entertainment characters.

Gilbert and his partners also own and operate Flash Seats, LLC. Flash Seats has created technology and process-es that replaces physical tickets for large sports and entertainment events with an electronic approach and offers asecure, online marketplace for transferring and selling tickets in a digital format. The Cavaliers are the first team in pro-fessional sports to use this new technology.

Gilbert was Rawlings Sporting Goods' largest shareholder and was instrumental in effecting the sale of Rawlings toK2 in March 2003.

Gilbert is an investor, financier and partner with Rock Companies (www.rockcompanies.com) in multiple residentialand commercial real estate developments in several states.

Dan recently launched Bizdom U in Detroit. This Detroit-based entrepreneur academy trains, mentors and financesyoung entrepreneurs and their start-up businesses in the city of Detroit. Bizdom U graduates will help create jobs,growth and wealth in inner cities.

In July 2002, two and a half years after the sale of the company to Intuit, Gilbert led a small group of private investorsand purchased Quicken Loans Inc. back from Intuit. The company is 100% privately held and retains all Quicken trade-marks.

Dan is also a partner in the private investment group Camelot Ventures, which primarily invests in consumer–based,technology centered businesses.

Some of Camelot’s current investments include: Michigan-based online promotions company, eprize; and FatheadLLC, which licenses and sells a new category of product for the true sports enthusiast.

A “Fathead” is a big, bold, colorful, 3-D looking, life-size, movable vinyl wall graphic of popular sports stars in anaction pose, or fans favorite team helmets, in addition to NASCAR racecars.

Camelot also owns and operates FlashSeat, LLC. FlashSeat is a company which has created technology andprocesses that replaces physical tickets for large sports and entertainment events with an electronic approach.FlashSeat also offers a secure, online marketplace for transferring and selling tickets in a digital format. The Cavaliersare the first team in professional sports to use this new, innovative technology.

Camelot has significant investments in Xeko, an environmentally centered children’s game, film and products basedbusiness as well as Rock Equities, a commercial and residential real estate developer and operator.

Gilbert was Rawlings Sporting Goods’ largest shareholder and was instrumental in effecting the sale of Rawlings toK2 in March 2003.

Dan is the past-president of JARC, a non–profit organization that provides housing and services to the developmen-tally disabled. He also is on the board of the Children’s Tumor Foundation in New York City and the Children’s Hospitalof Michigan Foundation.

Dan is currently developing a new urban entrepreneurial academy that will launch in January, 2007. The acade-my, called Bizdom U, is designed to train, mentor, finance and helps launch young entrepreneurs and their start-upbusinesses in urban areas.

Mr. Gilbert has recently been the keynote speaker at Harvard’s Business School, the University of Michigan’sBusiness School, the national NAACP conference as well as numerous other businesses, non–profit and educationalgroups.

Dan is a frequent guest on many national business programs including several stints as guest host on CNBC’sMorning Call in New York City, as well as appearances on ESPN, CNN, FOX, ABC and other networks.

Mr. Gilbert earned his bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University (Green not Blue) and his law degree fromWayne State University.

He was awarded the “Entrepreneur of the Year” award from Ernst and Young and was inducted into the JuniorAchievement Hall of Fame.

He lives in Michigan with his wife and their five children.

GORDON GUND

Twenty-four seasons ago, it looked as though the Cavaliers might be headed out ofNortheast Ohio until Gordon, now 68 and a native of Cleveland, and his brother Georgestepped in to purchase the club at the last minute, keeping the team at The Coliseum.

The Gunds presided over the resurgence of The Coliseum and the design and con-struction of Gund Arena which opened at the beginning of the 1994-95 season. Underthe guidance of the Gunds, building records were set in attendance and bookings in bothfacilities, while the Cavaliers recorded one of the largest increases in home attendance inthe NBA over the past 20 seasons. In October 1996, Gund was elected Chairman of the

NBA’s Board of Governors and served in that capacity for three years.In March of 2005, Gordon Gund sold a majority ownership stake in the Cavaliers, including the lease rights to Gund

Arena (renamed Quicken Loans Arena in September of 2005), to the group headed by current Cavaliers majorityowner, Dan Gilbert and fellow minority owner David Katzman. Gordon retained a minority ownership stake in the fran-chise.

As a former co-owner, with George, of the Minnesota North Stars of the National Hockey League, Gordon and hisbrother were instrumental in building that franchise before its eventual sale in the spring of 1990. At that time, Gordonand George were granted an NHL expansion team that began play as the San Jose Sharks for the 1991-92 season.The Gunds sold their majority stake in the Sharks during February of 2002.

The expertise displayed by Gordon in the sports world has been evident in his other interests as well. He servesas the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Gund Investment Corporation, which is involved in diversified invest-ment activities. Gordon is a director of the Kellogg Company of Battle Creek, Michigan, and of Corning Incorporatedof Corning, New York. He also recently served as a board member of the U.S. Olympic Committee.

Gordon now devotes a great deal of energy to national charitable and philanthropic causes. In 1971, he and hiswife, Lulie, were members of the founding group of The Foundation Fighting Blindness, headquartered in Baltimore,Maryland and Gordon is its National Chairman. This foundation is dedicated to finding treatments and cures for retini-tis pigmentosa and allied degenerative diseases of the retina, such as Usher syndrome and macular degeneration.These diseases as a group affect more than nine million Americans and are the leading causes of blindness and deaf-blindness in the United States today.

Gordon is a graduate of Harvard University and has honorary doctorates from the Goteburg University in Sweden,University of Maryland, Whittier College and the University of Vermont.

After serving as the executive vice president and chief operating officer for one year,Mark Stornes was promoted to chief executive officer of the Cavaliers/Quicken LoansArena (C/QLA) on January 1, 2003.

With a wide array of experience in financial and operating roles, Stornes oversees allbusiness and operational aspects of Quicken Loans Arena and the NBA’s ClevelandCavaliers. Stornes supervises each of C/QLA’s business and operating units, including finance and administration,business development, guest services and building operations. Stornes is the leader of C/QLA’s senior managementstaff.

Stornes began his career with the Cleveland Cavaliers in 1996 when he served as the senior vice president forfinance and administration and chief financial officer. In 1999, Stornes began serving as the Executive Director ofCavaliers Charities (a fund of the Robert R. McCormick Tribune Foundation), the philanthropic arm of the Cavaliers.Stornes took on the title of executive vice president and chief operating officer of C/QLA in 2001.

From 1987 until joining C/QLA, Stornes served in several financial and operating roles – including executive vicepresident and COO – for TransAmerica Mailings, Inc., a leading direct mail marketing firm. He was responsible for allfinancial functions and the operations of the company.

Prior to his position with TransAmerica, Stornes was senior auditor for Grant Thornton, one of the world’s largestinternational public accounting firms, from 1983-1987.

Stornes is a 1983 graduate of Cleveland State University where he earned his B.B.A in Accounting. He is a grad-uate of the Leadership Cleveland class of 2002 and serves on the board and executive committee of the ClevelandLeadership Center. In addition, he is a member of the 50 Club and is the treasurer of the Downtown Cleveland Alliance.Stornes is also a member of Bluecoats, Inc. a charitable organization that is dedicated to provide financial support andcounseling for families of police officers and firefighters who lost their lives in the line of duty. Stornes also serves asTrustee of the Berea Educational Fund Foundation and has served as a past board member of Cleveland Tomorrow.Besides his work related and educational accomplishments, Stornes is very involved in his community having coachedover forty teams in the past years.

Stornes resides in Middleburg Heights with his wife and four children, Matt, Ryan, Scott and Meghan.

LEN KOMOROSKIPresident, Cavaliers/Quicken Loans Arena

Len Komoroski was named president of the Cavaliers/Quicken Loans Arena, whichincludes the newly-christened Quicken Loans Arena – “The Q”, in April 2003. He spent theprevious seven years as senior vice president and chief of business operations for thePhiladelphia Eagles of the National Football League.

A seasoned business executive, Komoroski brings more than 25 years of experience inprofessional sports and entertainment to the organization. His leadership and business initia-

tive bring a solid foundation from which the Cavaliers and The Q can continue to thrive and flourish.For the 2003-04 season, Komoroski oversaw the restructuring of how the Cavaliers approached the business commu-

nity, including the development of a staff featuring some of the top sports marketing executives in the industry. The collec-tive efforts both on and off the floor resulted in one of the top business turnaround stories in NBA history. The Cavaliers hadthe largest year-over-year attendance increase in NBA history, progressing from a league-low of 11,497 per game in 2002-03 to 18,288 in 2003-04 – a 59% increase. Television ratings were up 300% and featured revised broadcast agreementsresulting in the largest number of locally-televised games in team history. Radio ratings also increased by more than 200%and local merchandise sales grew by 500%. The Cavaliers also experienced the largest increase in corporate partnershiprevenue in the NBA last season. He also led the charge in the transformation of the Cavaliers communications efforts anddramatic changes in developing one of the most dynamic game experiences in the NBA.

Since then, Komoroski has led continued growth and development across the board. The 2006-07 regular season atten-dance average was 20,437, which was the largest in team history. The franchise has had three of the four largest homeattendance averages in franchise history over the last four seasons. The team also set a record with 32 sellouts. TheCavaliers enter the 2007-08 season with a 22 game sellout streak. Corporate sales revenue is now amongst the top tier ofteams in the NBA, including the dynamic season-presenting relationship with Cub Cadet. The Cavaliers are also consideredto have one of the best game presentations in the NBA. Komoroski also played a leadership role in developing one of thetop cable television relationships in the NBA with FSN Ohio, encompassing 70 regular season games, as well as for theentitlement of the Cavaliers new state-of-the-art player development facility – Cleveland Clinic Courts. In addition,Komoroski played a leadership role in the acquisition of its American Hockey League franchise, the Lake Erie Monsters, andhis business team works to prepare them for their inaugural season at The Q beginning with the 2007-08 season.

While with the Eagles, Komoroski brought many properties in-house, including the Eagles Television Network, which isthe largest developer of local programming in the NFL. Under his guidance, the Eagles established the fan-friendly NFLTraining Camp, which was the most heavily attended in the league, featuring autograph sessions, interactive games, hos-pitality and an extraordinary merchandise tent. He also helped broker a record-setting naming rights deal with NovaCare,garnering a reported $66 million for the Eagles training facility, the NovaCare Complex.

Komoroski also played a leadership role in the development of Lincoln Financial Field, the Eagles state-of-the-art stadi-um. Through his efforts, the Eagles secured a 20-year, $140 million naming rights agreement with Lincoln Financial Group,one of the largest such agreements in pro sports history. He and his business group orchestrated the successful sellout of172 suites, 8,000 club seats, 29,000 Stadium Builder Licenses and a waiting list of over 40,000 for season tickets

Through the efforts of Komoroski and his team, the Eagles were among the most successful NFL teams in securing long-term seven-figure per annum “Founding Partner” relationships for new stadia; in addition, they forged many other substan-tial six-figure per annum agreements. He also completed top-tier industry agreements for Eagles radio and television cov-erage and concession agreements for Lincoln Financial Field. Behind Komoroski’s leadership, the organization securedmajor soccer events, concerts, Division I college football games and the Army/Navy Game, establishing Lincoln FinancialField as one of the most active stadiums in sports. Through these efforts and events the Eagles have become one of thehighest grossing franchises in professional sports.

This is Komoroski’s second stint in the NBA, having been with the Minnesota Timberwolves from 1988-94 and havingplayed a major role in the start-up of the team and its arena, the Target Center. While Komoroski was Vice President ofSales and the senior sales and marketing official for the team and arena, the Timberwolves became one of the most finan-cially successful organizations in the league. After Minnesota, he came to Cleveland as Senior Vice President and ChiefOperating Officer of the International Hockey League’s (IHL) Cleveland Lumberjacks, and immediately transformed theLumberjacks into a flourishing enterprise. Both attendance and revenues saw sharp increases during Komoroski’s time, andthe Lumberjacks were one of three profitable IHL teams in 1996.

Komoroski got his start in sports in 1982 with the Pittsburgh Spirit of the Major Indoor Soccer League, followed by man-agement roles with the Pittsburgh Penguins of the National Hockey League and the Minnesota Strikers of the MISL, and asa regional manager for the Miller Brewing Company’s sports marketing arm.

Komoroski’s achievements in professional sports have attracted considerable attention, and he has assumed leadershippositions in several capacities. He is on the board of directors of the Cleveland chapters of City Year, the American RedCross, American Cancer Society and the United Way, as well as the board of the Greater Cleveland Convention and VisitorsBureau. He is also a member of the Young Presidents Organization, the 50 Club and the Bluecoats.

Komoroski is a 1982 cum laude graduate of Duquesne University. He and his wife Denise are the parents of three daugh-ters – Kristin, Kelly, Jamie and one son, Zachary.

DANNY FERRYGeneral Manager

Danny Ferry was named the eighth general manager in Cleveland Cavaliers history onJune 27, 2005.

Ferry has focused on building a championship-caliber culture in his two seasons withthe Cavaliers. Helping to lead the team, through many successful signings and acquisi-tions, to back-to-back 50-win seasons was only the beginning. The Cavs have also hadtwo successful playoff appearances including the franchise’s first-ever trip to the NBAFinals under Ferry’s leadership.

In addition to player acquisitions, Ferry also oversees all scouting, player personnel and day-to-day activities of theCavaliers’ Basketball Operations Team.

Ferry spent two seasons from 2003-2005 as the director of basketball operations for the San Antonio Spurs. As thedirector of basketball operations for the Spurs, Ferry was actively involved in all aspects of the basketball operationsdepartment with an emphasis on the draft and free agency. He also aided in the strategic planning for Spurs Sportsand Entertainment.

During his time in the Spurs front office, San Antonio compiled a combined regular season and playoff record of138-59 (.701). While in San Antonio, he won NBA Championships as both a member of the front office (2005) and asa player (2003).

Ferry, a 13-year NBA veteran, played the final three years of his career in San Antonio (2000-03). Prior to that, hespent 10 seasons in Cleveland as a member of the Cavaliers. He played in a franchise-record 723 regular seasongames (154 starts) and averaged 7.8 points and 3.0 rebounds in 20.8 minutes per game. Ferry’s best season cameduring the 1995-96 season when he played in all 82 games (79 starts) with averages of 13.3 points and 3.8 reboundsin 32.7 minutes per game.

For his career, Ferry played in 917 games (186 starts) and averaged 7.0 points, and 2.8 rebounds in 19.8 minutesper game. He also played in 67 career playoff games (15 starts) in nine playoff appearances.

Ferry was the second overall pick in the 1989 NBA Draft by the Los Angeles Clippers. He spent the next seasonplaying in Italy before the Cavaliers acquired Ferry along with Reggie Williams in exchange for Ron Harper, two first-round draft picks and a second-round pick from the Clippers on November 16, 1989.

Ferry won the 1989 Naismith Award as the nation’s top player after averaging 22.6 points, 7.4 rebounds and 4.7assists per game during his senior season at Duke. He was named First Team All-American as both a junior and asenior. He had his jersey retired at Duke and was inducted into the Duke Sports Hall of Fame in September 2004.

Ferry’s father, Bob Ferry, was vice president/general manager of the Washington Bullets for 17 years and played inthe NBA from 1959 through 1969 while his brother, Bobby, played at Harvard University and was selected by Atlantain the seventh round of the 1985 NBA Draft.

Ferry (born Oct. 17, 1966) and his wife, Tiffany, have four daughters and one son: Hannah, Grace, Sophia, Lucyand Jackson.

LANCE BLANKSAssistant General Manager

Lance Blanks was named assistant general manager for the Cleveland Cavaliers inJuly of 2005. He spent the previous five seasons with the San Antonio Spurs where hewas a part of two NBA Championships working in various positions in the front office.

As assistant general manager, Blanks assists General Manager Danny Ferry in allbasketball operations of the franchise.

Prior to joining the Cavaliers, Blanks served as the director of scouting for the Spurs.He joined the Spurs in 2000 as a scout and was promoted to Director of Scouting in September of 2002. In San Antonio,Blanks served as Spurs television analyst for both the 2003-04 and 2004-05 season.

He played three seasons in the NBA after being drafted in the first round of the 1990 NBA Draft (26th overall pick)by the Detroit Pistons. Blanks spent two seasons with the Pistons and one with the Minnesota Timberwolves, averag-ing 2.0 points in 142 career games. He also played one season in the CBA and three in Europe, where he led teamsin Hungary and Cyprus to league championships.

Blanks earned Texas “Mr. Basketball” honors in 1985 at McCullough High School (now The Woodlands) beforegoing on to the University of Texas, where he led the Longhorns to the Elite Eight in the 1990 NCAA Tournament. Whilea resident of San Antonio, former mayor, Ed Garza, appointed Blanks to the San Antonio Sports Hall of Fame organ-izing committee.

Blanks (born Sept. 9, 1966) and his wife Renee have two daughters, Riley and Bryn. Riley is a top rated junior ten-nis player. His father, Sid, played eight years in the NFL for Houston, Washington and New England and his cousin,Larvel Blanks, played Major League baseball for eight years.

CHRIS GRANTAssistant General Manager

Chris Grant joined the Cleveland Cavaliers as the club’s assistant general manager inJuly 2005. He spent the previous nine seasons with the Atlanta Hawks where he was pro-moted in 2004 to the position of vice president of basketball operations and assistant gen-eral manager.

Grant oversees the domestic and international scouting departments and assistsGeneral Manager Danny Ferry in all basketball operations of the franchise. He also spear-

headed the design and construction of the new state-of-the-art Cavaliers player development center, Cleveland ClinicCourts which opened at the start of the 2007 season. The 50,000 square foot facility is one of the most technological-ly advanced team development centers in pro sports.

In his nine years with the Hawks, Grant held six different positions including video intern, video coordinator, advancescout, assistant director of scouting, director of scouting and vice president/assistant general manager.

Grant, a graduate of the University of San Diego, earned a degree in psychology. He also received a master’sdegree in educational leadership from USD. Grant spent three seasons on the school’s basketball team after transfer-ring from Canada Junior College.

He and his wife Kelly have two sons, Cameron and Boden.

MIKE BROWNCleveland Cavaliers Head Coach

Mike Brown was named the 17th head coach in Cleveland Cavaliers history on June2, 2005.

In his first two seasons at the helm of the Cavaliers, Brown has quickly become one ofthe NBA’s top young coaches.

During the 2007 Playoffs, Brown led the Cavaliers to their first Eastern ConferenceChampionship and a trip to the NBA Finals after Cleveland knocked off the Pistons 4-2 inthe Eastern Conference Finals. He guided the Cavaliers to their first series sweep in the first round versus Washingtonand then led Cleveland to a 4-2 win in the conference semifinals against New Jersey. In two playoff appearances,Brown has a record of 19-14 (.576) which gives him the most wins by a head coach in team playoff history.

After posting the most wins as a first-year head coach in team history in 2005-06 (50-32 record), Brown followedthat up with another 50-win season (50-32) in his second year. Cleveland is one of only five teams in the NBA (Dallas,Detroit, Phoenix and San Antonio) to have won 50 or more games in consecutive seasons. With a combined regularseason record of 100-64 (.610) in two seasons, Brown has the highest winning percentage of any head coach in Cavshistory. In addition, his 100 wins over his first two seasons are the most in team history surpassing Mike Fratello’s 90wins in his first two seasons (1993-95).

During his first season as head coach, he became the winningest first-year head coach in team history and ledCleveland to Eastern Conference Semifinals in the 2006 Playoffs. He became the first coach in franchise history tolead his team to a playoff series win in his first season by defeating Washington 4-2 in the first round of the EasternConference playoffs in 2006. In addition, he became the first rookie head coach since Rick Carlisle in 2001-02 to post50 wins in a season.

Brown joined the Cavaliers after spending two seasons as the associate head coach of the Indiana Pacers andthree seasons as an assistant coach for the San Antonio Spurs. His career record as an assistant coach was 341-201(.629) and he won a division title with Indiana in 2003-04 and three straight division titles with San Antonio. He helpedlead Indiana to consecutive playoff appearances including a trip to the Eastern Conference Finals in 2004. He wasalso on the bench for the Spurs during their 2003 World Championship season. While with the Spurs, Brown’s teamswon at least 58 games each season. He also was the head coach for the Spurs’ summer league teams in Boston andSalt Lake City.

Brown spent three years with the Washington Wizards’ staff beginning in 1997, spending the first two years as anassistant under Bernie Bickerstaff, and his final year as the team’s professional scout.

The 37-year-old (born March 5, 1970 in Columbus, OH) began his NBA career with the Denver Nuggets in 1992,where he spent five seasons, first as the team’s video coordinator and then as a scout.

He participated in the NBA’s “Basketball Without Borders” program in Johannesburg, South Africa in the summer of2006. Mike and his wife, Carolyn, are actively involved in the Cavaliers’ community relations initiatives including“Shoes and Clothes For Kids” and “Cleveland Christian Home.”

Brown is a 1992 graduate of the University of San Diego with a degree in business. He played basketball two sea-sons at USD after spending two years at Mesa Community College. He attended high school in Germany at WurzburgAmerican High School. He and Carolyn have two sons, Elijah and Cameron.

HANK EGANAssistant Coach

Hank Egan was named an assistant coach for the Cleveland Cavaliers in June 2005.He brings a wealth of knowledge to the organization boasting nearly 40 years of basket-ball coaching experience.

Egan joined the Cavaliers after spending the 2002-03 season as an assistant coachwith the Golden State Warriors. He came out of a brief retirement to join the Warriorscoaching staff and helped lead Golden State to its then-highest win total (38-44) since the

1993-94 campaign. Prior to joining the Golden State coaching staff, Egan spent the previous eight seasons as an assistant coach with

the San Antonio Spurs and helped guide the club to an NBA Championship in 1999. During his tenure with SanAntonio, the Spurs compiled a 403-221 (.646) record and made seven trips to the NBA Playoffs. He also assisted inleading the Spurs to five Midwest Division titles and the NBA’s best record four times.

Before joining the Spurs, Egan spent 23 years as an NCAA Division I head coach including 10 seasons at theUniversity of San Diego (1984-1994). During the 1986-87 campaign, he guided the Torerros to a 24-6 record and anappearance in the NCAA Tournament.

Egan began his coaching career in 1966 as an assistant coach at the Air Force Academy. In 1971 he was namedthe head coach at Air Force where he remained until 1984 when he was named head coach at the University of SanDiego.

Having earned a reputation as one of the top defensive coaches in the country during his collegiate tenure, Eganreceived West Coast Conference Coach of the Year honors following back-to-back seasons in 1985-86 and 1986-87.Additionally, Egan was a scout for the 1984 U.S. Olympic Basketball Team and was one of the coaches at the 1984Olympic Trials.

Egan, 70 (born Aug.17, 1937), is a 1960 graduate of the Naval Academy earning a degree in engineering. He andhis wife Judy, have two children, John and Kelly, and five grandchildren.

MELVIN HUNTAssistant Coach

Melvin Hunt was named an assistant coach for the Cleveland Cavaliers in September2005. He came to Cleveland having spent the 2004-05 season as an assistant coachwith the Los Angeles Lakers under Head Coach Rudy Tomjanovich.

Prior to his time with the Lakers, Hunt spent five seasons with the Houston Rockets.He served as the Rockets’ College and International Scout during the 2003-04 season.Before working as a scout he spent two seasons on the Rockets’ bench as an assistant

coach. Originally he joined the Rockets basketball staff as a video coordinator/scout and spent two seasons in thatrole.

Prior to working in the NBA, Hunt coached on both the collegiate and high school levels. He began his coachingcareer as an assistant coach at Temple High School before moving to the college ranks where he was an assistantcoach at Incarnate Word University in San Antonio.

Hunt earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration and a Master’s degree in education from BaylorUniversity where he spent four years on the basketball team. He was a four-year letterman and a three-year starterfor the Bears from 1987-91 and helped lead his team to both the NCAA and NIT tournaments. Following his gradua-tion, Hunt played professional basketball in the Caribbean and Mexico.

He is a native of Tallulah, Louisiana. Hunt (born Dec. 15, 1969) and his wife, Carmen, have a daughter, Braya anda son, Miles.

CHRIS JENTAssistant Coach

Chris Jent was named director of player development/assistant coach in Novemberof 2006.

He was an assistant coach for the Orlando Magic during the 2004-05 season beforebeing named Orlando’s interim head coach for the final 18 games of the season. Priorto his one year stint with the Magic, he spent the 2003-04 season with the Philadelphia76ers as assistant coach/player development.

Jent coached one year of high school basketball for Westhill High School in Stamford, Connecticut in 2002-03.Prior to that he spent 10 seasons playing professionally, including two years in the NBA. He was a member of the1994 NBA Champion Houston Rockets and also played for the New York Knicks during the 1996-97 season. Jentplayed five seasons in the CBA and also spent time playing overseas in Australia, Italy, Spain and Greece.

Jent, a native of Sparta, N.J., graduated from The Ohio State University with a degree in Communications. Heplayed four seasons (1988-92) at Ohio State and helped lead the Buckeyes to three consecutive NCAA Tournamentsand back-to-back Big Ten Championships. He played in 123 games and scored 1,007 career points including 112three-point field goals which ranks seventh all-time in Ohio State history.

Chris (born Jan. 11, 1970) and his wife, Alice, have one son Jimmy and two daughters Corrin and Robin.

JOHN KUESTERAssistant Coach

John Kuester was named an assistant coach for the Cleveland Cavaliers in August of2007.

Kuester joined the Cavaliers following a season as an assistant coach with the OrlandoMagic. He also spent time as an assistant coach with the Philadelphia 76ers during the2005-06 season and with the New Jersey Nets in 2004-05.

During the 2003-04 season, Kuester was an assistant coach for the Detroit Pistons ashe helped the Pistons capture the 2004 NBA Championship.

Kuester spent six seasons as a member of the 76ers coaching staff from 1997-98 to 2002-03. He helped the 76ersreach the NBA Finals during the 2001 season and the playoffs in five of his six seasons in Philadelphia.

For seven seasons from 1990-1997, Kuester was a member of the Boston Celtics organization including the finaltwo seasons as an assistant coach. He arrived in Boston after five seasons as the head coach at George WashingtonUniversity from 1985-1990. Kuester became the youngest head coach in Division I in 1983 when he succeeded RickPitino at Boston University. He was an assistant coach for the Terriers for two seasons prior to his head coachingappointment. Kuester began his coaching career as a volunteer assistant coach at The University of Richmond dur-ing the 1980-81 season.

Kuester is a graduate of the University of North Carolina where he played four seasons under Dean Smith from1973-77. He won two ACC Championships and reached the NCAA Tournament three years and the NationalInvitational Tournaments one year including a trip to the NCAA Finals in 1977 during his time in Chapel Hill. As a sen-ior, he was voted the team’s best defensive player for the second straight season and the MVP of both the ACCTournament and the NCAA East Regionals.

Kuester was selected in the third round (53rd overall) of the 1977 NBA Draft by the Kansas City Kings. He playedthree seasons in the NBA, one each with Kansas City, Denver and Indiana.

Born on Feb. 6, 1955, John and his wife, Tricia, have a son, John III, and a daughter, Katelyn.

STAN KELLERSAssistant Coach/Strength and Conditioning Coordinator

Stan Kellers oversees the Cavaliers Athletic Performance Management Process.Kellers also maintains his assistant coach/strength and conditioning coordiantor role forthe Cavaliers which he began in August of 1996. He came to the Cavaliers after work-ing at the Cleveland Clinic for 15 years, most recently as an Exercise Physiologist in thesection of Sports Medicine.

Kellers is responsible for coordinating strength, conditioning and flexibility programs foreach member of the Cavaliers’ team. In addition to developing in-season programs, he works individually with eachplayer during the offseason to prepare them for the rigors of an NBA campaign. In his role as process coordinator,Kellers works closely with the team’s head athletic trainer and physical therapist to ensure each Cavaliers player is pro-vided the highest quality care, services and programs in the medical and strength and conditioning areas.

Kellers is a graduate of Cleveland State University with a Master’s degree in Exercise Science. He and his wifeDana and two daughters, Shelby Lynn and Samantha reside in Olmsted Township.

MICHAEL MALONEAssistant Coach

Michael Malone was named an assistant coach for the Cleveland Cavaliers inSeptember of 2005.

Malone has been instrumental in the Cavaliers success since his arrival in Cleveland.During the 2006-07 season, Malone helped the Cavaliers reach the NBA Finals for thefirst time in franchise history as they topped the Washington Wizards, New Jersey Netsand Detroit Pistons to claim the team’s first Eastern Conference Championship.

Cleveland’s playoff run followed a 50-win regular season for the second consecutive year. During the 2006 Playoffs,the Cavaliers advanced to the Eastern Conference Semifinals.

In addition to his coaching duties with the Cavaliers, Malone is currently an assistant coach with the Canadian Men’sSenior National Team. He was a member of Leo Rautins’ coaching staff during the 2007 FIBA Americas OlympicQualifying Tournament and helped lead Canada to a top-five finish which allows them to compete in the 2008 FIBAWorld Olympic Qualifier and a possible berth in the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics.

Malone joined the Cavaliers after four seasons with the New York Knicks. Malone was an assistant coach with theKnicks after he was promoted into that position in May 2003. In his first two seasons in New York, Malone was theKnicks’ coaching associate. He originally joined the Knicks as a coaching associate in the summer of 2001.

Prior to joining the Knicks, Malone spent seven years in the college ranks. He served for two years (1999-01) asthe lead assistant coach at Manhattan College following one season at the University of Virginia (1998-99). Malonespent three seasons (1995-98) at Providence College after beginning his coaching career at Oakland (MI) University.

Malone’s passion for the game allows him to stay busy even during the NBA’s offseason. Along with his currentcoaching responsibilities with Canada that began in 2007, Malone spent the two previous summers coaching andteaching around the globe. During the summer of 2006, he participated in the NBA’s “Basketball Without Borders” pro-gram in Puerto Rico and coached at the Nike All-Asia Camp in China. The previous summer he participated in“Basketball Without Borders” in Argentina. In addition, he has been the head coach for the Cavaliers’ summer leagueentry, the Knicks’ summer league teams for two seasons and was one of six NBA coaches to participate in the NBAPre-Draft camp in Chicago during the summers of 2004 and 2005.

Malone played college basketball at Loyola College (MD) and graduated with a BA degree in 1994. He graduatedfrom New Jersey’s Seton Hall Prep and also attended Worcester Academy (MA).

Michael is the son of veteran NBA coach and former Cavaliers’ Head Coach Brendan Malone. Brendan, a 21-yearveteran of the NBA, was named as an assistant coach for Cleveland prior to the start of the 2004-05 season and thenwas named the team’s head coach on March 21, 2005. Michael is one of Brendan and his wife Maureen’s six children.

Malone and his wife, Jocelyn, have two daughters, Caitlin Rose and Bridget Colleen.

MAX BENTONAthletic Trainer

Max Benton started with the Cleveland Cavaliers as athletic trainer in July 2001. As the Cavaliers’ Athletic Trainer, Benton tends to the immediate medical needs of the

team’s players. Most of his athletic training time is spent in the area of preventive medi-cine, treatment and rehabilitation.

Benton completed his sixth season with the Cavaliers. He came to Cleveland follow-ing six seasons as the assistant athletic trainer for the Denver Nuggets. While workingas the Nuggets’ assistant trainer, he also volunteered as an athletic trainer for the DenverPublic School System.

A 1995 graduate of the University of Colorado (CU), Benton was a student assistant in the CU sports medicinedepartment from 1990-95. He worked primarily with football, men’s basketball and men’s and women’s track. Bentonwas also a student intern for the Denver Broncos’ training staff for two years and received the Pro Football AthleticTrainers’ Ethnic Minority Scholarship in 1993.

While doing his undergraduate work, Benton served as a student intern for the Colorado Rockies orthopedic sur-geon. He also taught a course in athletic training at CU as an undergraduate.

The native of Fort Collins, Colo., is a certified member of the National Athletic Trainer’s Association (NATA), the Ohio AthleticTrainers’ Association (OATA), the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and is also a Performance Enhancement Specialist.

Benton volunteered in August 2001 at the United States Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo., wherehe worked with athletes from volleyball, wrestling, taekwondo and swimming. In March of 2003, Benton was selectedto the USA Medical Staff for the 2003 Pan American Games in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic where he helpedthe U.S. Boxing Team win one gold, one silver and two bronze medals.

Benton served a two-year term (2004-06) as the Eastern Conference representative for the National BasketballAthletic Trainers Association (NBATA). He also serves on the scholarship committee for the NBATA, which gives schol-arships to undergraduate, masters and doctorate students in the field of athletic training.

Benton and his wife Jolynne are the proud parents of Emma Lenice, born July 9, 2004.

MARK CASHMANEquipment Manager/Travel Coordinator

Mark Cashman was named Equipment Manager/Travel Coordinator for the ClevelandCavaliers in July of 2001. He handles all duties associated with the equipment for theteam and also assists with the team’s air and ground transportation, as well as accommo-dations for each road trip.

Cashman served five seasons as the equipment manager for the Portland TrailBlazers from 1994-99. He also worked with the Minnesota Timberwolves for four seasons(1990-94) prior to joining Portland.

Cashman, a native of Minneapolis, Minn., graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1994 with a degree inPolitical Science. He and his wife, Stephanie, reside in Lakewood with their children Andrew, Gregory, Zachary andCarlisle.

MICHAEL MANCIAS • Assistant Athletic TrainerMichael Mancias was named assistant athletic trainer in August 2005 after spending the 2004-05 season as the

team’s seasonal athletic trainer. He assists Head Athletic Trainer Max Benton and Head Strength & ConditioningCoach Stan Kellers in all aspects of player care including: injury prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation of Cavalierplayers both at home and on the road.

Prior to joining the Cavaliers, Mancias was assistant athletic trainer at the University of Texas-Pan Americanwhere he served as lead athletic trainer as well as strength and conditioning coordinator for the Men’s Basketball team. He has alsoworked at The NBA Pre-Draft Camp, The Nike Desert Classic, and NBA Summer leagues in Atlanta, Boston, Orlando and Las Vegas.He has also served two summer internships with noted trainer Tim Grover of ATTACK Athletics in Chicago. Mancias is a certified mem-ber of the National Athletic Trainers Association and a member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association. He also holdsPerformance Enhancement Specialist (PES) and Corrective Exercise Specialist (CES) certifications from the National Academy ofSports Medicine.

Mancias graduated in 2000 with a B.S. in Health Education from The University of Texas-Pan American. He is originally fromBrownsville, Texas, is recently engaged and resides in Lakewood.

WES WILCOX • Pro/College ScoutWes Wilcox was promoted to the position of pro/college scout in the summer of 2007 after spending the previ-

ous four seasons as the Cavaliers advance scout. In his new position, he will play an intricate role in the Cavaliersscouting process, including minor leagues, colleges, the NBA and international basketball.

Wilcox got his start as an intern with the Miami Heat in their scouting department in 2001-02. Following that yearhe served as video coordinator for the New Orleans Hornets before joining the Cavaliers prior to the 2003-04 sea-

son as advance scout. In addition to serving as advance scout, Wilcox was promoted to assistant coach and moved to the bench forthe final 18 games of the 2004-05 season.

Wilcox, a 2001 graduate of Cal-State Fullerton, is a native of La Habra, CA. He is recently engaged and resides in Cleveland.

BRYANT MOORE • Advance ScoutBryant Moore enters his third season with the Cavaliers and his first as a full-time Advance Scout. In the

advance scout role, Bryant is responsible for scouting upcoming Cavaliers opponents, charting plays, identifyingopponents’ tendencies and developing a personnel report. From these scouting efforts, he develops a detailedgame report for the coaching staff and players.

Moore began his work with the Cavs as a video coordinator in 2005. He was promoted to scout/video coach in2006. In that role, Bryant was responsible for the recording of games for scouting purposes while preparing scouting tapes for pregameand postgame activities for the coaches and players. In addition, he assisted with player development duties for the Cavaliers. Bryanthas also been an assistant coach for the Cavaliers’ summer league team the past three seasons.

He began his coaching career as an assistant coach at Sheldon High School in Elk Grove, CA from 2000-04. He spent 2004-05 asan assistant coach at the University of California, Riverside.

Moore is a 1993 graduate of Texas Tech, where he was a two-year starter on the basketball team from 1990-92. He attended MesaCommunity College (AZ) with Cavaliers’ Head Coach Mike Brown before attending Texas Tech.

STEVE HETZEL • Video CoordinatorSteve Hetzel was named video coordinator for the Cleveland Cavaliers in July 2006. Hetzel will be responsi-

ble for recording games for scouting purposes while preparing scouting tapes for pregame, in-game and postgameactivities for the coaches and players.

He spent the 2005-06 season as an assistant video coordinator with the San Antonio Spurs. Hetzel is a 2005 graduate of Michigan State University where he spent two years working with the Men’s bas-

ketball team as a student manager. He holds a degree in Kinesiology and is a native of Detroit, Michigan.

DR. CHARLES MAHERTeam Sport Psychologist

Dr. Maher joined the Cleveland Cavaliers as the club’s team sport psychologist inOctober 1999. He is responsible for mental skills development, performance enhance-ment, and psychological well being of all current players, as well as for psychological test-ing for the draft. He also serves as a consultant to basketball operations in the area oforganizational effectiveness and staff development. His central focus in all of thesedomains has to do with assisting players, coaches, and staff in their development as peo-ple, as individuals who need to cope effectively with risk, as team contributors, and in terms of successfully executingtheir roles.

Dr. Maher is a licensed psychologist and a fellow of many psychological societies, including the AmericanPsychological Association. He holds Diplomates from the American Board of Administrative Psychology and theAmerican Board of Sport Psychology, as well as numerous graduate degrees and professional certifications in psychol-ogy, business, and education.

Prior to his career in Cleveland, Dr. Maher worked for a decade as sport psychologist for the Chicago White Sox,in addition to serving as a sport psychology consultant to the New York Yankees and other teams. Currently, Dr. Maheralso serves as sport psychologist and director of psychological services for the Cleveland Indians, and has served insimilar positions with the New York Jets and Cleveland Browns. Additionally, he serves as a sport psychology consult-ant for the IMG Academies in Bradenton, FL. He also maintains a private practice in sport psychology that includesprofessional athletes in football, tennis, basketball and other sports.

Outside of professional sports, Dr. Maher is a tenured full professor of psychology at the Graduate School of Appliedand Professional Psychology at Rutgers University, where he is involved in research, doctoral education, supervisionof professional psychology students, and editor of a professional journal. He has authored numerous books and peerreviewed articles in sport psychology, management development, program planning and evaluation, and special edu-cation.

Dr. Maher and his wife, Ann, who is a family nurse practitioner, reside in Cleveland and New Jersey. They have twochildren, Dr. Jennifer Maher and Dr. Brian Maher, both of whom are psychologists, and two grandchildren.

CHICO AVERBUCKDirector of International Scouting

Chico Averbuck was named director of international scouting for the ClevelandCavaliers in October 2004. Prior to joining the Cavaliers, he served as a scout for thePortland Trail Blazers for four seasons.

As the director of international scouting, Averbuck will direct all of Cleveland’s interna-tional scouting activities and assist General Manager Danny Ferry.

Averbuck spent seven years in the CBA in various positions, ranging from basketballoperations in the league office to assistant coach/director of player personnel with several teams. In addition, he spenttime as a coach with the Iraklis Basketball Club in Solinque, Greece and also served as the director of scouting for thePeristeri Pro Basketball Club in Athens, Greece.

Averbuck graduated from California State University at Bakersfield earning a degree in communications with aminor in psychology. He and his wife, Jennifer, have three children, Samuel, William and Hannah.
