Welcome back to the 2014 year at Morgan Street Public School. Our students started very well last week despite the hot conditions and our new kindies got off to a good beginning today.
The school will have 14 classes this year and the staff and class structures are listed below.

P & C NEWS
The P&C are holding a function this week to welcome everyone back for the year. For new kindy parents,
your initial flier advertising the event said a 7pm start. The “Meet and Greet” will now start at 5pm on the
Palace Hotel verandah on Thursday 13th February.
Our first P&C meeting for 2014 will be held next Monday (17/02/14) at 7pm in the 3-6 staffroom. This
meeting is open to all our school community K-6 (new and ongoing families). Come along, get involved,
join a really good group of proactive parents.
HOT WEATHER TIPS
Don’t send your child to school too early
Hats are essential
Send in plenty of cold water
Talk to your child about playing quieter games and in the shade if possible
Pick your child up after school on extreme heat days if it is possible.
The school will provide some indoor (cooler) activities and spaces during lunch time on very hot days.
