<Re: Pool Cleaner Challenges - Your

<Responsibility

<

<Dear Richard,

<

<First there was the British Columbia Health Spa

<complaining about the pool cleaner product not

<working as advertised. Now we have the Australian,

<Matthew Hutchinson, complaining about pool problems

<in about 10 pools. In Australia, the pool

<situations include freshwater, saline water,

<different climate areas, and in general a variety of

<conditions. The common element is that the pool

<cleaner product was purchased through Steve

<Torrence.

<

<My first inclination upon hearing of these

<situations was to address the technical problem head

<on and offer solutions to both groups using the

<product. Upon rethinking the matter, it makes more

<sense to me not to address the technical problem

) <that is your responsibility - yours and Torrence's(

<but to address the real problem. My best

<understanding is that the real problem is:

<

<1.You/Torrence have thrust the

<pool cleaner product (and an aquarium product) into

<the market without full blessing of Perfect Science,

<without product testing, without an understanding of

<how the product should be applied (protocols), and

<without an understanding of a companion product that

<might be used in situations where algae are a

<concern.

<

<2.You are providing incorrect

<protocols to people buying the product. Check into

<whether the product should be activated with spring

<water prior to use AND whether the product should be

<sprayed onto the surface of the pool rather than

<brute force dumped into the pool. Get the correct

<activation dilutions, the correct method of applying

<the activated product, the correct initial dosage to

<use, he correct time to wait after applying the

<product before needing to vacuum. etc. My

<understanding is quite different from the directions

<given on the packaged pool cleaner product as sent

<by Torrence.

<

<3.You/Torrence continue to spread

<misinformation about Perfect Science including

<statements made about myself. Torrence recently

<told the British Columbia pool/spa people that I was

<not with Perfect Science, that I was a disgruntled

<ex-employee. Please know that, as opposed to you

<and Torrence, I am with Perfect Science and I have

<been working for Perfect Science without pay from

<Perfect Science.

<

<4.There seems to be a continuing

<assumption on the part of some (all?) Torrence's

<clients that all products are 'water' and are

<essentially the same. The distinction between the

<health-related products and the household and

<environmental products has not been communicated

<and/or received. The present pool product does not

' <heal' anyone, it is not intended nor designed to do

<this. It is a formula and not a medical 'water'.

<

<When I first met you in Istanbul, my sense was that

<you were a reasonable person. Despite your actions

<and things you have said to people (including to

<Terry when she called you from Hawaii), I give you

<the benefit of doubt that you want to help Perfect

<Science and in particular Mr. Doyuk.

<

<The products need performance testing and the

<understanding that comes from this, well-defined

<protocols, approvals where required, and quality

<control. It appears that Cleaning Earth has

<bypassed all of these requirements. The end result

<is that what was sold is a Cleaning Earth product

<and not a Perfect Science product. Cleaning Earth

<needs to take responsibility for their actions. I

<see your options as shutting Torrence up/down or

<taking responsibility for him. He is undermining

<my role and authority and compromising the Perfect

<Science effort.
