PERFORMANCE = POTENTIAL - INTERFERENCES - ‘Inner Work of Game’ by Timothy Galway
• Interferences = Low Self Esteem, Negative Thoughts, Social Media distractions and Poor Peer Influences
GREENRIDGE SECONDARY SCHOOL Belief: ‘Learn. Improve. Excel.’
Homework and Revision
• Sustain good discipline in our students to review their
learning and a good habit to see to the completion of
work on their own
• In preparation for the national examination, students
MUST begin the revision process.
• At home, do exercise discipline and set aside time to
begin revision
GREENRIDGE SECONDARY SCHOOL Belief: ‘Learn. Improve. Excel.’
Target Setting and Monitoring
• Every graduating student is to MONITOR their
improvement in their subject targets and write actual
scores of every assessment taken next to subject
targets.
• This allows students to timely reflect on what are the
causes and effects enabling their performance and
hence develop some traits of self-directed learners .
GREENRIDGE SECONDARY SCHOOL Belief: ‘Learn. Improve. Excel.’
Remedial Programmes
• Weaker students will be required to attend remediation.
• Structured remedial for graduating classes will commence
in Week 5 of Term 1.
• Structured remedial is not extra lesson. It is specifically
targeted and your child might not need to attend all
remedial.
GREENRIDGE SECONDARY SCHOOL Belief: ‘Learn. Improve. Excel.’
Esprit D’Excellence 2015
• Embracing the spirit of excellence ensures self
improvement. Excellence to us means ‘Doing Well, Doing
Good’.
• For the Sec 4E/5N students, they were reminded of the
importance of
1. Target Setting and MONITORING
2. Career Guidance
3. Teambuilding and Service Learning (LEAPS 2.0)
4. Study Skills
